man_n soever_o it_o be_v that_o humble_v his_o soul_n before_o he_o he_o shall_v find_v grace_n and_o mercy_n with_o he_o yea_o abundance_n of_o mercy_n pardon_v iniquity_n transgression_n and_o sin_n yea_o any_o thing_n let_v but_o a_o soul_n come_v prostrate_a before_o he_o humble_v his_o soul_n he_o will_v pardon_v his_o sin_n but_o as_o it_o follow_v in_o the_o word_n he_o will_v by_o no_o mean_n clear_v the_o guilty_a if_o notwithstanding_o all_o god_n patience_n and_o mercy_n thou_o go_v on_o in_o thy_o sin_n the_o lord_n will_v never_o forgive_v thou_o but_o will_v visit_v thy_o but_o when_o the_o lord_n take_v away_o the_o day_n of_o grace_n from_o a_o man_n though_o the_o spiritual_a man_n may_v take_v some_o notice_n of_o it_o yet_o there_o be_v no_o sensible_a so_o good_a yet_o the_o manner_n of_o think_v they_o be_v evil_a 3._o efficiential_o when_o the_o man_n that_o think_v they_o be_v vain_a 4._o when_o it_o be_v a_o thought_n that_o may_v become_v the_o best_a saint_n upon_o the_o earth_n or_o a_o glorify_a angel_n in_o heaven_n yet_o the_o drift_n of_o the_o soul_n be_v carnal_a and_o vain_a the_o soul_n thereby_o become_v vain_a also_o first_o then_o material_a vain_a thought_n be_v all_o thought_n of_o the_o world_n of_o the_o work_n of_o thy_o call_n of_o thy_o recreation_n eat_v drink_v sleep_a thought_n of_o thy_o wife_n and_o child_n and_o the_o like_a they_o be_v vain_a thought_n not_o sinful_a necessary_o yet_o they_o may_v come_v to_o be_v sinful_a five_o manner_n of_o way_n manner_n 1_o first_o when_o we_o think_v of_o they_o primary_o that_o be_v in_o the_o first_o place_n when_o we_o think_v of_o they_o before_o we_o think_v of_o god_n tell_v i_o then_o what_o be_v thy_o first_o thought_n in_o the_o morning_n hereby_o a_o man_n may_v know_v his_o thought_n whether_o they_o be_v good_a or_o evil_n consider_v i_o say_v what_o it_o be_v that_o first_o present_v itself_o unto_o thy_o thought_n certain_o that_o thing_n and_o many_o unruly_a thought_n in_o he_o may_v rebel_v but_o it_o be_v the_o very_a grief_n of_o his_o soul_n and_o he_o will_v never_o rest_v nor_o be_v at_o quiet_a till_o he_o have_v get_v balm_n from_o gilead_n strength_n from_o christ_n for_o the_o subdue_a and_o crucify_a of_o they_o even_o of_o those_o vain_a and_o sinful_a thought_n that_o stick_v close_a unto_o their_o heart_n full_a &_o as_o fresh_a as_o at_o the_o first_o but_o bring_v he_o to_o a_o sermon_n or_o to_o a_o prayer_n and_o he_o be_v jade_v present_o his_o heart_n be_v empty_a and_o his_o thought_n be_v at_o a_o end_n for_o say_v the_o apostle_n they_o that_o be_v after_o the_o flesh_n savour_v the_o thing_n of_o the_o flesh_n rom._n 8_o 5._o it_o be_v a_o true_a note_n of_o a_o earthly_a carnal_a fleshly_a heart_n to_o be_v think_v on_o earthly_a and_o vain_a thing_n savourly_o thou_o may_v think_v on_o the_o world_n but_o it_o must_v be_v only_o with_o a_o cast_n of_o thy_o thoughtâ—_n as_o one_o that_o look_v upon_o a_o thing_n with_o a_o squint_a eye_n but_o when_o thou_o be_v to_o think_v on_o god_n or_o on_o the_o thing_n of_o god_n then_o thou_o must_v gather_v all_o thy_o thought_n and_o affection_n thou_o must_v lay_v all_o the_o power_n of_o thy_o soul_n together_o and_o thou_o must_v employ_v they_o only_o to_o this_o work_n manner_n 4_o four_o worldly_a thought_n become_v sinful_a when_o we_o think_v of_o they_o without_o counsel_n then_o say_v solomon_n they_o come_v to_o nought_o when_o a_o man_n consider_v not_o aforehand_o what_o thought_n be_v necessary_a and_o needful_a and_o so_o restrain_v and_o keep_v off_o all_o impertinent_a thought_n then_o his_o thought_n will_v prove_v distrustful_a cark_n thought_n care_v for_o the_o morrow_n contrary_a to_o the_o
