this_o shall_v be_v go_v and_o this_o kind_n of_o body_n and_o soul_n shall_v be_v alter_v and_o change_v to_o the_o image_n of_o the_o bless_v second_o adam_n we_o shall_v put_v off_o our_o earthiness_n as_o well_o as_o our_o sinfulness_n and_o have_v his_o bless_a complete_a image_n now_o how_o glorious_a that_o shall_v be_v as_o you_o never_o see_v the_o first_o adam_n but_o only_o by_o hear-say_n and_o by_o read_v the_o word_n of_o god_n so_o you_o have_v not_o see_v the_o second_o adam_n but_o you_o may_v partly_o know_v by_o the_o manifestation_n of_o his_o glory_n on_o earth_n you_o have_v hear_v much_o of_o his_o glory_n we_o see_v his_o glory_n as_o of_o the_o only_o beget_v son_n of_o god_n we_o shall_v then_o see_v he_o phil._n 3._o 19_o our_o conversation_n that_o one_o way_n now_o when_o there_o be_v but_o one_o way_n methinks_v there_o need_v no_o deliberation_n or_o consultation_n in_o worldly_a thing_n when_o there_o be_v divers_a way_n and_o course_n that_o a_o man_n may_v take_v he_o will_v consult_v with_o his_o friend_n which_o to_o take_v this_o or_o that_o or_o the_o other_o but_o when_o there_o be_v but_o one_o way_n there_o need_v no_o consultation_n so_o if_o there_o be_v two_o or_o three_o or_o many_o way_n to_o heaven_n we_o may_v consult_v which_o way_n to_o take_v if_o there_o be_v as_o many_o way_n as_o you_o imagine_v and_o make_v in_o your_o own_o head_n if_o antinomianism_n be_v the_o only_a way_n or_o presbyterian_o or_o independent_o be_v the_o only_a way_n man_n may_v demur_v but_o in_o god_n language_n there_o be_v but_o one_o way_n and_o that_o be_v the_o way_n the_o truth_n and_o the_o life_n jesus_n christ_n be_v the_o way_n go_v out_o of_o that_o and_o you_o wander_v for_o ever_o he_o be_v the_o only_a sacrifice_n miss_v that_o and_o there_o be_v no_o more_o sacrifice_n for_o sin_n there_o be_v but_o this_o one_o thing_n necessary_a there_o be_v no_o other_o way_n in_o the_o world_n but_o jesus_n christ_n there_o be_v no_o other_o name_n under_o heaven_n by_o which_o you_o can_v be_v save_v therefore_o we_o shall_v do_v in_o our_o condition_n just_a as_o a_o man_n that_o be_v fall_v into_o a_o
great_a pit_n that_o be_v full_a of_o stone_n and_o snake_n and_o serpent_n and_o fire_n and_o all_o that_o we_o can_v imagine_v to_o be_v terrible_a and_o miserable_a and_o there_o come_v a_o man_n and_o cast_v a_o rope_n into_o this_o great_a deep_a pit_n you_o need_v not_o persuade_v the_o man_n to_o lay_v hold_n of_o it_o he_o will_v present_o catch_v at_o it_o as_o soon_o as_o it_o come_v why_o so_o because_o he_o know_v he_o be_v in_o a_o miserable_a case_n and_o there_o be_v no_o other_o way_n to_o help_v he_o but_o that_o we_o be_v fall_v into_o such_o a_o pit_n where_o there_o be_v snake_n and_o scorpion_n and_o serpent_n and_o fire_n the_o sting_n of_o sin_n the_o curse_n of_o the_o law_n the_o wrath_n of_o god_n we_o be_v in_o the_o paw_n of_o the_o devil_n we_o be_v in_o a_o manner_n in_o hell_n already_o and_o god_n have_v send_v his_o sâ—n_n christ_n and_o have_v put_v righteousness_n in_o he_o and_o he_o have_v let_v down_o this_o rope_n that_o poor_a sink_a miserable_a creature_n may_v lay_v hold_n on_o it_o therefore_o what_o shall_v i_o say_v to_o you_o but_o this_o i_o beseech_v you_o stand_v not_o trifle_v and_o dally_v and_o whine_v and_o go_v to_o call_v and_o account_v by_o scholar_n the_o chief_a part_n of_o man_n and_o therefore_o they_o say_v that_o man_n be_v a_o reasonable_a creature_n now_o i_o say_v if_o we_o will_v find_v ouâ—_n by_o the_o scripture_n what_o we_o be_v whether_o we_o be_v according_a to_o the_o flesh_n or_o according_a to_o the_o spirit_n for_o there_o be_v the_o hinge_n of_o it_o we_o must_v examine_v it_o by_o the_o mind_n and_o not_o by_o the_o mind_n simple_o as_o it_o be_v a_o faculty_n but_o the_o mind_n act_v and_o exercise_v and_o if_o we_o speak_v of_o the_o exercise_n let_v we_o take_v the_o reason_a part_n of_o it_o that_o be_v the_o best_a part_n for_o of_o all_o the_o act_n of_o the_o mind_n the_o reason_n be_v the_o strong_a and_o that_o that_o most_o immediate_o flow_v from_o the_o understanding_n therefore_o if_o the_o reason_n of_o the_o soul_n be_v carnal_a the_o whole_a soul_n be_v so_o and_o if_o the_o reason_n of_o it_o be_v spiritual_a the_o whole_a soul_n be_v to_o the_o flesh_n and_o we_o know_v it_o by_o our_o knowledge_n we_o do_v know_v thing_n not_o according_a to_o the_o flesh_n but_o according_a to_o the_o spirit_n if_o christ_n himself_o be_v here_o
