the_o soul_n itself_o &_o the_o mind_n term_v the_o soul_n the_o inworking_a of_o the_o body_n and_o of_o the_o bodily_a instrument_n and_o the_o mind_n that_o reasonable_a substance_n which_o be_v in_o we_o whereof_o the_o do_n have_v no_o fellowship_n with_o the_o do_n of_o the_o body_n and_o whereof_o the_o soul_n be_v as_o plato_n say_v but_o the_o garment_n this_o mind_n say_v he_o may_v be_v sever_v from_o the_o body_n it_o be_v not_o in_o any_o wise_n mingle_v with_o it_o it_o be_v of_o such_o substance_n as_o can_v be_v hurt_v or_o wrought_v upon_o it_o have_v be_v and_o be_v short_a when_o as_o he_o put_v this_o question_n whether_o a_o natural_a philosopher_n be_v to_o dispute_v of_o all_o manner_n of_o soul_n or_o but_o only_o of_o that_o soul_n which_o be_v immaterial_a it_o follow_v that_o he_o grant_v that_o there_o be_v such_o a_o one_o and_o again_o when_o as_o he_o make_v this_o argument_n look_v what_o god_n be_v everlasting_o that_o be_v we_o in_o possibility_n according_a to_o our_o measure_n but_o he_o be_v everlasting_o separate_v from_o bodily_a thing_n therefore_o the_o time_n will_v come_v that_o we_o shall_v be_v so_o too_o he_o take_v it_o that_o there_o be_v a_o image_n of_o god_n in_o we_o yea_o even_o of_o the_o divine_a nature_n which_o have_v continuance_n of_o itself_o very_a well_o and_o right_o therefore_o do_v simplicius_n to_o speak_v better_o in_o many_o other_o place_n as_o appeareth_z by_o his_o disciple_n theophrastus_n who_o speak_v yet_o more_o evident_o thereof_o than_o he_o the_o latin_n writer_n as_o i_o have_v say_v before_o fall_v to_o philosophy_n somewhat_o late_a than_o the_o greek_n and_o as_o touch_v their_o common_a opinion_n the_o exercise_n of_o superstition_n that_o be_v among_o they_o the_o manner_n of_o speech_n which_o we_o mark_v in_o their_o history_n their_o contempt_n of_o death_n and_o their_o hope_n of_o another_o life_n can_v give_v we_o sufficient_a warrant_n thereof_o for_o no_o such_o thing_n can_v have_v in_o it_o the_o power_n of_o memory_n understanding_n and_o conceit_n to_o beat_v in_o mind_n thing_n past_a to_o foresee_v thing_n to_o come_v and_o to_o
