more_o envy_n danger_n and_o insecurity_n that_o engage_v to_o a_o great_a deal_n of_o vigilance_n to_o preserve_v it_o and_o be_v often_o lose_v without_o desert_n and_o yet_o the_o man_n be_v the_o same_o he_o look_v upon_o his_o power_n and_o authority_n as_o a_o thing_n that_o be_v not_o in_o himself_o but_o mere_o in_o the_o contribution_n of_o the_o strength_n of_o other_o or_o their_o voluntary_a deny_v it_o to_o themselves_o by_o a_o resolution_n of_o nonresistance_n as_o that_o which_o make_v no_o real_a accession_n

to_o he_o but_o he_o be_v but_o what_o he_o be_v before_o he_o have_v it_o and_o when_o he_o lose_v it_o will_v be_v what_o he_o be_v before_o he_o leave_v it_o in_o all_o point_n save_v mere_o more_o just_o make_v he_o proud_a that_o make_v it_o than_o he_o that_o wear_v it_o that_o alter_v not_o the_o soul_n or_o body_n that_o be_v under_o it_o nor_o be_v become_v part_n of_o it_o he_o look_v upon_o his_o strength_n or_o beauty_n or_o temperature_n of_o body_n as_o that_o which_o a_o few_o year_n will_v lay_v in_o the_o dust_n and_o the_o worm_n will_v master_v it_o as_o that_o which_o be_v not_o able_a to_o contest_v with_o the_o least_o distemper_n either_o within_o it_o or_o without_o it_o and_o yet_o the_o good_a that_o be_v in_o it_o while_o it_o last_v be_v but_o a_o borrow_a good_a he_o look_v upon_o his_o knowledge_n understanding_n and_o wisdom_n as_o that_o which_o be_v infinite_o short_a of_o what_o it_o be_v or_o what_o it_o may_v be_v the_o most_o that_o we_o know_v be_v infinite_o short_a of_o what_o we_o know_v not_o and_o what_o we_o shall_v know_v that_o his_o increase_n of_o knowledge_n be_v but_o a_o increase_n of_o his_o account_n a_o aggravation_n of_o those_o sin_n which_o will_v be_v of_o lesser_a magnitude_n have_v they_o not_o be_v commit_v against_o a_o great_a light_n that_o the_o most_o of_o what_o we_o know_v and_o that_o work_v thereof_o shall_v be_v burn_v up_o political_a dispensation_n shall_v cease_v either_o the_o thing_n shall_v not_o continue_v and_o so_o the_o knowledge_n of_o they_o be_v useless_a or_o the_o truth_n shall_v be_v more_o compendious_o and_o clear_o discover_v to_o we_o and_o so_o the_o labour_n to_o acquire_v they_o unnecessary_a it_o look_v upon_o the_o best_a practical_a habit_n or_o action_n it_o do_v as_o thing_n that_o need_v a_o expiation_n rather_o than_o deserve_v a_o reward_n it_o find_v in_o itself_o a_o little_a small_a grain_n of_o gold_n in_o they_o but_o so_o cover_v and_o stifle_v with_o dross_n and_o filth_n that_o that_o which_o be_v good_a be_v scarce_o worth_a the_o accept_n final_o he_o look_v upon_o nothing_o as_o his_o own_o but_o the_o sin_n of_o his_o nature_n that_o have_v stain_v and_o pollute_v the_o sin_n of_o his_o life_n that_o make_v he_o odious_a in_o the_o presence_n of_o god_n the_o sin_n of_o his_o service_n as_o that_o which_o adulterate_v and_o spoil_v they_o and_o whatsoever_o be_v useful_a or_o comfortable_a in_o his_o external_a accession_n whatsoever_o be_v beautiful_a in_o his_o body_n or_o soul_n he_o look_v upon_o as_o another_o not_o as_o he_o and_o bless_v he_o for_o it_o carry_v the_o glory_n to_o he_o take_v upon_o himself_o the_o shame_n and_o abhorrence_n of_o his_o own_o deformity_n and_o magnify_v the_o those_o be_v the_o ground_n of_o all_o the_o pride_n in_o the_o world_n which_o be_v nothing_o else_o but_o a_o false_a place_n of_o the_o mind_n in_o such_o a_o condition_n or_o station_n or_o the_o opinion_n of_o such_o a_o station_n wherein_o in_o truth_n he_o be_v not_o and_o so_o it_o disorder_v the_o mind_n it_o make_v a_o man_n that_o be_v essential_o subordinate_a to_o god_n and_o depend_v upon_o he_o to_o place_v himself_o above_o god_n and_o to_o be_v independent_a upon_o he_o and_o though_o this_o false_a opinion_n can_v alter_v his_o condition_n in_o truth_n for_o he_o that_o have_v say_v my_o will_n shall_v stand_v can_v be_v remove_v by_o the_o pride_n or_o resistance_n of_o man_n yet_o as_o to_o the_o man_n himself_o it_o put_v he_o out_o of_o his_o place_n and_o in_o the_o room_n of_o god_n and_o therefore_o above_o all_o other_o distemper_n of_o the_o soul_n this_o be_v the_o most_o hateful_a to_o god_n for_o as_o the_o proud_a man_n resist_v god_n and_o labour_n to_o get_v into_o his_o place_n so_o god_n resist_v he_o 1_o pet._n 5.5_o prov._n 3.24_o and_o this_o ignorance_n or_o not_o full_a subscription_n to_o these_o two_o truth_n will_v appear_v to_o be_v the_o in_o rebellion_n and_o disobedience_n against_o god._n god_n challenge_v the_o subjection_n of_o our_o will_n to_o he_o as_o just_o he_o may_v and_o man_n will_v have_v his_o own_o will_v take_v
