blood_n of_o christ_n which_o be_v signify_v and_o seal_v by_o this_o sacramental_a wash_n in_o water_n to_o be_v accept_v as_o a_o member_n of_o christ_n and_o of_o his_o church_n where_o he_o vouchsafe_v his_o protection_n and_o provision_n and_o the_o mean_n and_o spirit_n of_o grace_n and_o the_o renew_a pardon_n of_o sin_n upon_o repentance_n and_o for_o you_o to_o see_v this_o happiness_n of_o your_o child_n the_o duty_n on_o your_o part_n be_v first_o to_o see_v that_o you_o be_v steadfast_a in_o the_o faith_n and_o covenant_n of_o christ_n that_o you_o perish_v not_o yourself_o and_o that_o your_o child_n be_v indeed_o the_o child_n of_o a_o believer_n and_o than_o you_o be_v beleeve_o and_o thankful_o to_o dedicate_v your_o child_n to_o god_n and_o to_o enter_v it_o into_o the_o covenant_n in_o which_o you_o stand_v and_o you_o must_v know_v that_o your_o faith_n and_o consent_v and_o dedication_n will_v suffice_v for_o your_o child_n no_o long_o than_o till_o they_o come_v to_o age_n themselves_o and_o then_o they_o must_v own_v their_o baptismal_a covenant_n and_o personal_o renew_v it_o and_o consent_n and_o give_v up_o themselves_o to_o god_n or_o else_o they_o will_v not_o be_v own_v by_o christ_n you_o must_v therefore_o acquaint_v they_o with_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o gospel_n as_o they_o grow_v up_o and_o with_o the_o covenant_n now_o make_v and_o bring_v they_o up_o in_o the_o fear_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o when_o they_o be_v actual_o penitent_a believer_n they_o must_v present_v themselves_o to_o the_o pastor_n of_o the_o church_n to_o be_v approve_v and_o receive_v into_o the_o communion_n of_o the_o adult_a believer_n if_o the_o person_n be_v before_o well_o instruct_v in_o the_o nature_n of_o baptism_n and_o time_n require_v brevity_n the_o minister_n may_v omit_v the_o first_o part_n of_o this_o speech_n and_o begin_v at_o the_o description_n of_o baptism_n or_o after_o it_o if_o there_o be_v need_n of_o satisfy_v the_o people_n of_o the_o duty_n of_o baptise_v infant_n the_o minister_n may_v here_o do_v it_o otherwise_o let_v the_o question_n here_o immediate_o follow_v the_o minister_n shall_v here_o say_v to_o the_o parent_n and_o the_o parent_n answer_v as_o follow_v it_o be_v the_o faithful_a and_o their_o seed_n to_o who_o the_o promise_n be_v make_v and_o no_o man_n will_v sincere_o dedicate_v his_o child_n to_o that_o god_n that_o he_o believe_v not_o in_o himself_o i_o therefore_o require_v you_o to_o make_v profession_n of_o your_o own_o faith_n quest_n do_v you_o believe_v in_o god_n the_o father_n almighty_n &_o c_o answ_n all_o this_o i_o do_v unfeigned_o believe_v quest_n do_v you_o repent_v of_o your_o
