repentance_n because_o if_o he_o speak_v of_o a_o inward_a and_o sincere_a repentance_n than_o it_o must_v be_v grant_v that_o sufficient_a inward_a grace_n do_v accompany_v the_o miracle_n that_o upon_o the_o mind_n of_o man_n or_o else_o a_o sufficient_a degree_n of_o god_n grace_n must_v be_v acknowledge_v to_o accompany_v the_o outward_a mean_n of_o repentance_n again_o if_o a_o oil_n into_o the_o wound_n before_o it_o be_v search_v and_o speak_v smooth_a and_o comfortable_a thing_n to_o a_o man_n that_o be_v but_o just_a bring_v to_o a_o sense_n of_o the_o long_a course_n of_o a_o lewd_a and_o wicked_a life_n impenitent_o continue_v in_o alas_o what_o comfort_n can_v we_o give_v to_o man_n in_o such_o a_o case_n we_o be_v loath_a to_o drive_v they_o to_o despair_v and_o yet_o we_o must_v not_o destroy_v they_o by_o presumption_n pity_n and_o good_a nature_n do_v strong_o tempt_v we_o to_o make_v the_o best_a of_o their_o case_n and_o to_o give_v they_o all_o the_o little_a hope_n which_o with_o any_o kind_n of_o reason_n we_o can_v and_o god_n know_v it_o be_v but_o very_o little_a that_o we_o can_v give_v to_o such_o person_n upon_o good_a ground_n for_o it_o all_o depend_v upon_o the_o degree_n and_o sincerity_n of_o their_o repentance_n which_o god_n only_o know_v and_o we_o can_v but_o guess_v at_o we_o can_v easy_o tell_v they_o what_o they_o innumerable_a consideration_n and_o argument_n to_o discourage_v and_o deter_v man_n from_o sin_n the_o unreasonableness_n of_o it_o in_o itself_o the_o injustice_n and_o disloyalty_n and_o ingratitude_n of_o it_o in_o respect_n to_o god_n the_o ill_a example_n of_o it_o to_o other_o the_o cruelty_n of_o it_o to_o ourselves_o the_o shame_n and_o dishonour_v that_o attend_v it_o the_o remembrance_n of_o it_o will_v certain_o be_v bitter_a and_o the_o end_n of_o it_o miserable_a and_o this_o consideration_n be_v of_o all_o other_o the_o most_o apt_a to_o work_v upon_o the_o generality_n of_o man_n especial_o upon_o the_o more_o obstinate_a and_o obdurate_a sort_n of_o sinner_n and_o those_o who_o no_o other_o argument_n will_v penetrate_v that_o whatever_o the_o present_a pleasure_n and_o advantage_n of_o sin_n may_v be_v it_o will_v be_v bitterness_n and_o misery_n in_o the_o end_n the_o two_o former_a inconveniece_n of_o a_o sinful_a course_n which_o i_o
