express_v in_o that_o complaint_n psal._n 31._o 10._o my_o life_n be_v spend_v with_o grief_n and_o my_o year_n with_o sigh_v my_o strength_n fail_v because_o of_o my_o iniquity_n and_o my_o bone_n forgiveness_n yea_o it_o be_v a_o great_a mean_n of_o preservation_n of_o it_o godly_a sorrow_n mourning_n humiliation_n contriteness_n of_o spirit_n be_v no_o less_o gospel_n grace_n and_o fruit_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n than_o faith_n itself_o and_o so_o be_v consistent_a with_o the_o high_a flourishing_n of_o faith_n whatever_o it_o be_v the_o work_n of_o heaven_n itself_o and_o not_o of_o the_o assurance_n of_o it_o to_o wipe_v all_o tear_n from_o our_o eye_n yea_o these_o grace_n have_v the_o most_o eminent_a promise_v annex_v to_o they_o as_o isa._n 57_o 15._o chap._n 66._o 2._o with_o blessedness_n itself_o math._n 5._o 4._o yea_o they_o be_v themselves_o the_o matter_n of_o many_o gracious_a gospel_n promise_v zech._n 12._o 10._o so_o that_o they_o be_v assure_o consistent_a with_o any_o other_o grace_n or_o privilege_n that_o we_o may_v be_v make_v partaker_n of_o or_o be_v promise_v unto_o we_o some_o find_v the_o weight_n and_o burden_n of_o their_o sin_n and_o be_v call_v to_o mourning_n and_o bumiliation_n on_o that_o account_n be_v so_o take_v up_o with_o it_o as_o to_o lose_v the_o sense_n of_o forgiveness_n which_o right_o improve_v will_v promote_v their_o sorrow_n as_o their_o sorrow_n seem_v direct_o to_o sweeten_v their_o sense_n of_o forgiveness_n sorrow_n absolute_o exclusive_a of_o the_o faith_n of_o forgiveness_n be_v legal_a and_o tend_v unto_o death_n assurance_n absolute_o exclusive_a of_o godly_a sorrow_n be_v presumption_n and_o not_o a_o persuasion_n from_o he_o that_o call_v we_o but_o gospel_n sorrow_n and_o gospel_n assurance_n may_v well_o dwell_v in_o the_o same_o breast_n at_o the_o same_o time_n indeed_o as_o in_o all_o worldly_a joy_n there_o be_v a_o secret_a wound_n so_o in_o all_o godly_a sorrow_n and_o mourning_n consider_v in_o its_o self_n there_o be_v a_o secret_a joy_n and_o refreshment_n hence_o it_o do_v not_o wither_v and_o dry_v up_o but_o rather_o enlarge_v open_a and_o sweeten_v the_o heart_n i_o be_o persuade_v that_o general_o they_o mourn_v most_o who_o have_v most_o assurance_n and_o all_o true_a gospel_n mourner_n will_v be_v find_v to_o have_v the_o root_n
