care_n of_o the_o lord_n of_o the_o goodness_n of_o the_o lord_n ps_n 22._o 9_o 10._o thou_o be_v he_o that_o take_v i_o out_o of_o the_o womb_n thou_o do_v make_v i_o hope_v when_o upon_o my_o mother_n breast_n i_o be_v cast_v upon_o thou_o from_o the_o womb_n thou_o be_v my_o god_n from_o my_o mother_n belly_n see_v here_o from_o the_o very_a womb_n from_o the_o very_a beginning_n god_n begin_v to_o take_v the_o care_n of_o his_o people_n he_o bring_v this_o to_o strengthen_v his_o faith_n on_o god_n for_o the_o future_a to_o uphold_v his_o soul_n now_o in_o his_o suffering_n it_o be_v speak_v of_o christ_n sure_o the_o lord_n he_o can_v do_v it_o he_o have_v not_o leave_v i_o he_o take_v care_n of_o i_o when_o i_o be_v in_o the_o womb_n he_o begin_v then_o to_o take_v the_o
labour_n to_o be_v for_o god_n every_o one_o of_o you_o in_o your_o place_n oh_o lay_v out_o yourselves_o with_o all_o your_o might_n to_o do_v something_o for_o god_n though_o the_o service_n you_o be_v to_o perform_v in_o your_o generation_n may_v be_v tedious_a may_v be_v laborious_a and_o toilsome_a to_o the_o flesh_n yet_o be_v willing_a to_o lay_v out_o yourselves_o for_o god_n lay_v down_o strength_n for_o god_n and_o lay_v down_o life_n for_o god_n why_o consider_v there_o be_v a_o long_a rest_n that_o be_v prepare_v for_o the_o people_n of_o god_n this_o be_v the_o day_n time_n and_o here_o you_o must_v work_v for_o god_n there_o shall_v come_v a_o time_n of_o rest_n yeâ—_n they_o shall_v rest_v in_o their_o grave_n there_o be_v sleep_a time_n enough_o and_o they_o shall_v rest_v in_o heaven_n and_o there_o they_o shall_v rest_v enough_o they_o shall_v rest_v for_o ever_o and_o for_o ever_o and_o therefore_o be_v content_a to_o do_v for_o god_n and_o lay_v down_o all_o your_o strength_n for_o god_n oh_o there_o be_v a_o rest_a time_n a_o long_a rest_a time_n that_o be_v prepare_v for_o you_o i_o have_v glorify_v thou_o on_o earth_n say_v christ_n to_o his_o father_n and_o therefore_o with_o your_o life_n with_o your_o strength_n with_o your_o ability_n with_o your_o part_n with_o your_o riches_n with_o all_o you_o have_v glorify_v god_n in_o your_o life_n i_o shall_v conclude_v all_o with_o one_o word_n of_o exhortation_n do_v god_n rescue_v the_o life_n of_o his_o servant_n in_o such_o a_o wonderful_a manner_n why_o let_v his_o servant_n for_o ever_o trust_v he_o live_v upon_o he_o he_o expect_v that_o you_o shall_v reason_v upon_o former_a experience_n and_o remember_v the_o year_n of_o the_o right_a hand_n of_o the_o most_o high_a remember_v such_o and_o such_o year_n when_o the_o right_a hand_n of_o the_o most_o high_a be_v declare_v when_o god_n wrought_v such_o work_n of_o deliverance_n such_o and_o such_o wonderful_a mercy_n the_o lord_n expect_v that_o such_o kind_n of_o deliverance_n shall_v be_v engagement_n to_o trust_v in_o he_o to_o trust_v in_o he_o at_o all_o time_n many_o time_n we_o will_v not_o believe_v unless_o we_o see_v sign_n and_o wonder_n and_o the_o lord_n he_o be_v please_v to_o condescend_v to_o our_o weakness_n and_o christ_n he_o show_v we_o a_o miracle_n yea_o he_o show_v many_o wonderful_a work_n mercy_n and_o deliverance_n that_o he_o work_v for_o his_o people_n and_o now_o god_n he_o may_v wonder_v at_o the_o weakness_n of_o our_o faith_n if_o after_o all_o these_o wonder_n we_o shall_v distrust_v he_o see_v what_o the_o psalmist_n say_v in_o psalm_n 96._o 10._o be_v still_o and_o know_v that_o i_o be_o god_n why_o in_o all_o your_o affliction_n in_o all_o your_o temptation_n in_o all_o your_o cross_n in_o all_o sad_a condition_n god_n will_v have_v you_o to_o be_v still_o and_o know_v that_o he_o be_v god_n and_o when_o ever_o we_o have_v receive_v any_o special_a mercy_n from_o god_n we_o shall_v urge_v this_o upon_o our_o owâ—_n soul_n if_o at_o any_o time_n we_o be_v ready_a to_o distrust_n god_n and_o repine_v at_o any_o of_o the_o deal_n of_o god_n oh_o my_o soul_n be_v still_o and_o know_v that_o god_n be_v jehovah_n remember_v the_o year_n of_o his_o right_a hand_n remember_v what_o he_o do_v for_o such_o and_o such_o of_o his_o servant_n and_o for_o thou_o in_o such_o a_o condition_n how_o he_o make_v his_o power_n and_o mercy_n and_o truth_n and_o faithfulness_n to_o pass_v before_o thou_o and_o will_v thou_o again_o murmur_v and_o repine_v and_o distrust_v he_o oh_o my_o soul_n be_v still_o and_o know_v that_o he_o be_v god_n know_v that_o he_o be_v jehovah_n and_o that_o he_o give_v existence_n to_o his_o promise_n know_v that_o he_o be_v as_o good_a as_o his_o word_n know_v that_o he_o be_v better_a than_o his_o word_n when_o ever_o any_o rebellious_a lust_n do_v rise_v up_o in_o thy_o heart_n after_o we_o have_v receive_v mercy_n which_o be_v a_o great_a engagement_n yet_o still_o beat_v it_o back_o with_o this_o know_v that_o the_o lord_n be_v jehovah_n the_o lord_n have_v a_o mighty_a arm_n and_o as_o he_o have_v do_v so_o he_o will_v do_v and_o he_o will_v not_o leave_v his_o people_n the_o power_n and_o the_o goodness_n of_o the_o lord_n it_o shall_v sound_v in_o our_o ear_n when_o ever_o we_o be_v in_o any_o strait_n this_o be_v a_o glorify_v of_o god_n for_o mercy_n receive_v and_o brethren_n upon_o all_o occasion_n remember_v the_o year_n of_o the_o mercy_n of_o the_o most_o high_a see_v what_o the_o psalmist_n say_v with_o which_o i_o will_v conclude_v all_o psal_n 62._o 11._o god_n have_v speak_v once_o twice_o have_v i_o hear_v this_o that_o power_n belong_v unto_o god_n god_n have_v speak_v how_o have_v he_o speak_v in_o some_o glorious_a deliverance_n he_o have_v speak_v in_o some_o great_a mercy_n for_o god_n speak_v in_o his_o providence_n as_o well_o as_o in_o his_o word_n and_o when_o god_n speak_v in_o his_o mercy_n he_o expect_v that_o we_o shall_v hear_v he_o nay_o that_o we_o shall_v not_o only_o hear_v he_o but_o that_o we_o shall_v hear_v he_o often_o he_o expect_v that_o we_o shall_v hear_v what_o shall_v we_o hear_v we_o shall_v hear_v this_o that_o power_n belong_v to_o god_n god_n god_n when_o ever_o god_n work_v any_o glorious_a deliverance_n this_o shall_v sound_v in_o our_o ear_n that_o power_n belong_v to_o god_n and_o mercy_n belong_v to_o god_n and_o love_a kindness_n and_o free_a grace_n belong_v to_o god_n and_o so_o love_a kindness_n it_o belong_v to_o god_n the_o attribute_n of_o god_n that_o do_v find_v in_o euâ—ry_o mercy_n in_o every_o deliverance_n and_o in_o some_o special_a mercy_n we_o shall_v not_o hear_v it_o once_o but_o twice_o god_n speak_v once_o and_o i_o hear_v it_o twice_o that_o be_v often_o it_o be_v a_o allusion_n to_o a_o echo_n a_o man_n speak_v sometime_o that_o it_o raise_v a_o echo_n and_o the_o word_n will_v be_v repeat_v again_o he_o shall_v hear_v it_o round_o about_o he_o the_o word_n sound_v again_o he_o speak_v once_o and_o it_o sound_v twice_o often_o so_o there_o be_v such_o a_o voice_n in_o many_o mercy_n many_o deliverance_n and_o many_o special_a providence_n they_o sound_v loud_v as_o the_o echo_n of_o a_o man_n do_v the_o lord_n speak_v once_o we_o shall_v hear_v twice_o that_o power_n belong_v to_o god_n well_o remember_v that_o the_o lord_n expect_v that_o thou_o shall_v hear_v it_o often_o and_o when_o ever_o thou_o be_v bring_v into_o a_o low_a condition_n remember_v this_o what_o thou_o hear_v in_o thy_o former_a low_a condition_n that_o power_n belong_v to_o god_n and_o mercy_n belong_v to_o god_n and_o thus_o shall_v we_o trust_v the_o lord_n in_o strait_n former_a mercy_n be_v engagement_n for_o the_o future_a and_o this_o be_v part_n of_o the_o glory_n the_o lord_n expect_v this_o be_v part_n of_o the_o income_a that_o he_o desire_v for_o mercy_n for_o deliverance_n poor_a creature_n that_o have_v see_v much_o in_o it_o they_o shall_v never_o forget_v the_o love_a kindness_n of_o god_n when_o they_o be_v in_o strait_n in_o great_a strait_n still_o to_o make_v use_n of_o former_a experience_n and_o to_o remember_v the_o year_n of_o the_o right_a hand_n of_o the_o most_o high_a thus_o you_o hear_v what_o improvement_n there_o shall_v be_v of_o our_o affliction_n the_o three_o sermon_n on_o dan_n iii_o xxv_o he_o answer_v and_o say_v lo_o i_o see_v four_o man_n loose_a walk_v in_o the_o midst_n
god_n before_o the_o soul_n have_v try_v he_o before_o he_o have_v have_v experience_n this_o be_v a_o honour_n a_o great_a honour_n that_o be_v do_v to_o god_n and_o this_o be_v the_o faith_n that_o will_v hold_v out_o this_o will_v last_v this_o kind_n of_o faith_n it_o will_v uphold_v the_o soul_n in_o the_o great_a strait_n in_o the_o low_a condition_n when_o sense_n fail_v and_o when_o experience_n be_v go_v out_o of_o sight_n why_o then_o this_o kind_n of_o faith_n will_v hold_v up_o the_o soul_n when_o the_o soul_n can_v trust_v the_o lord_n though_o he_o have_v not_o try_v he_o trust_v he_o though_o god_n have_v not_o give_v experience_n trust_v he_o first_o of_o all_o because_o of_o his_o word_n because_o of_o the_o word_n of_o his_o grace_n that_o be_v give_v forth_o to_o the_o soul_n as_o a_o foundation_n to_o build_v upon_o this_o be_v a_o honour_n indeed_o to_o god_n second_o be_v careful_a throughout_o all_o your_o 2._o caution_n 2._o whole_a course_n of_o life_n that_o you_o rely_v more_o upon_o the_o word_n of_o the_o lord_n then_o upon_o your_o experience_n throughout_o the_o whole_a course_n of_o your_o life_n you_o will_v find_v this_o more_o beneficial_a to_o rely_v upon_o the_o word_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o here_o i_o beseech_v you_o to_o remember_v that_o this_o life_n it_o be_v the_o life_n of_o faith_n it_o be_v the_o life_n of_o faith_n and_o not_o the_o life_n of_o sense_n in_o heaven_n the_o saint_n shall_v live_v by_o sense_n they_o shall_v have_v no_o need_n of_o faith_n the_o life_n of_o faith_n be_v not_o proper_a for_o they_o but_o the_o life_n of_o faith_n be_v proper_a to_o god_n people_n on_o earth_n to_o believe_v and_o not_o see_v faith_n be_v the_o evidence_n of_o thing_n nâ—t_v see_v it_o be_v take_v up_o with_o thing_n not_o see_v i_o say_v this_o life_n it_o shall_v be_v a_o life_n of_o faith_n unto_o the_o saint_n it_o be_v not_o a_o life_n of_o sense_n and_o consider_v moreover_o if_o god_n do_v give_v any_o spiritual_a sense_n or_o if_o he_o do_v give_v any_o experience_n of_o his_o love_n it_o be_v give_v for_o this_o end_n that_o so_o he_o may_v help_v the_o faith_n of_o his_o people_n that_o he_o may_v help_v their_o faith_n and_o strengthen_v their_o faith_n that_o so_o he_o may_v encourage_v they_o for_o the_o future_a to_o trust_v in_o he_o to_o trust_v in_o he_o when_o they_o see_v he_o not_o when_o all_o be_v dark_a and_o sad_a when_o god_n seem_v to_o be_v out_o of_o sight_n i_o say_v god_n give_v encouragement_n for_o this_o end_n that_o so_o he_o may_v encourage_v they_o to_o believe_v and_o therefore_o it_o be_v that_o oftentimes_o he_o train_v up_o his_o people_n in_o this_o way_n he_o will_v strike_v the_o crutch_n out_o of_o their_o hand_n he_o will_v put_v they_o to_o it_o they_o shall_v walk_v alone_o by_o faith_n that_o all_o the_o sense_n of_o god_n deal_n with_o they_o shall_v be_v out_o of_o sight_n they_o shall_v have_v nothing_o to_o rely_v upon_o god_n will_v put_v they_o to_o it_o to_o rely_v upon_o he_o alone_o upon_o a_o naked_a word_n of_o promise_n upon_o the_o word_n of_o grace_n to_o rely_v upon_o he_o though_o they_o have_v nothing_o in_o the_o world_n to_o rely_v upon_o 2._o consider_v though_o it_o be_v great_a mercy_n that_o the_o lord_n be_v please_v to_o condescend_v so_o far_o to_o the_o creature_n to_o give_v spiritual_a sense_n and_o many_o time_n experience_n by_o which_o he_o will_v seal_v up_o his_o word_n and_o his_o grace_n to_o they_o yet_o it_o be_v a_o great_a mercy_n that_o god_n have_v give_v a_o word_n of_o promise_n to_o rely_v upon_o that_o be_v the_o great_a mercy_n in_o the_o world_n asurer_n foundation_n of_o hope_n and_o that_o which_o will_v stand_v a_o poor_a creature_n in_o stead_n when_o it_o be_v in_o the_o dark_a when_o all_o the_o sense_n will_v be_v in_o the_o dark_a and_o experience_n out_o of_o sight_n but_o then_o the_o word_n oâ—_n the_o lord_n will_v endure_v for_o ever_o and_o so_o then_o to_o have_v a_o word_n of_o grace_n to_o rely_v upon_o a_o word_n of_o promise_n this_o be_v the_o great_a mercy_n that_o god_n can_v show_v to_o poor_a creature_n my_o brethren_n if_o it_o be_v not_o for_o this_o it_o be_v not_o possible_a that_o the_o soul_n shall_v be_v at_o any_o certainty_n though_o god_n have_v give_v never_o so_o many_o experience_n of_o his_o love_n though_o the_o soul_n have_v see_v and_o though_o it_o have_v feel_v and_o taste_v of_o love_n and_o though_o it_o have_v lie_v in_o the_o bosom_n of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o be_v refresh_v with_o his_o â—ove_n yet_o if_o the_o lord_n have_v not_o give_v a_o word_n of_o grace_n to_o rely_v upon_o aword_n of_o promise_n to_o rely_v upon_o it_o will_v be_v impossible_a but_o that_o â—t_a some_o time_n or_o other_o they_o will_v call_v all_o in_o question_n for_o it_o be_v not_o possible_a that_o otherwise_o the_o soul_n shall_v be_v support_v in_o dark_a condition_n for_o why_o when_o the_o soul_n begin_v to_o look_v towards_o god_n why_o it_o be_v fill_v with_o the_o sense_n of_o his_o own_o vileness_n with_o the_o sense_n of_o his_o own_o unworthiness_n oh_o that_o â—s_v one_o of_o the_o great_a discovery_n that_o the_o lord_n make_v show_v the_o soul_n how_o vile_a it_o be_v in_o itself_o and_o therefore_o i_o say_v the_o soul_n be_v ready_a to_o question_v all_o all_o that_o god_n have_v do_v for_o it_o though_o it_o have_v see_v god_n walk_v in_o a_o way_n of_o love_n to_o he_o yet_o still_o oh_o it_o be_v too_o good_a for_o i_o too_o good_a for_o such_o a_o â—ile_a creature_n as_o i_o be_o again_o the_o desire_n of_o the_o soul_n be_v carry_v mighty_o after_o god_n when_o god_n come_v once_o to_o set_v his_o face_n towards_o heaven_n it_o be_v fill_v with_o vast_a desire_n to_o god_n that_o it_o can_v never_o have_v enough_o never_o be_v satisfy_v and_o though_o god_n do_v come_v and_o manifest_v himself_o by_o gracious_a experience_n yet_o still_o it_o desire_v more_o of_o god_n it_o be_v apt_a to_o question_v have_v i_o any_o thing_n of_o god_n or_o no_o have_v i_o see_v god_n or_o no_o it_o be_v very_o solicitous_a when_o it_o be_v once_o set_v towards_o heaven_n god_n make_v it_o very_o solicitous_a concern_v the_o great_a matter_n of_o eternity_n it_o be_v fill_v with_o the_o weighty_a thingsof_n eternity_n and_o the_o weighty_a business_n of_o eternity_n so_o though_o god_n have_v come_v and_o have_v speak_v and_o the_o soul_n have_v see_v god_n and_o experience_n of_o god_n yet_o because_o it_o apprehend_v such_o great_a weighty_a matter_n concern_v the_o soul_n for_o eternity_n all_o experience_n be_v call_v in_o question_n of_o god_n love_n and_o his_o favour_n to_o he_o a_o man_n be_v so_o careful_a in_o this_o case_n that_o he_o will_v scarce_o believe_v himself_o nay_o though_o he_o have_v see_v christ_n and_o though_o he_o have_v feel_v he_o and_o see_v his_o go_n still_o he_o will_v hardly_o believe_v himself_o whether_o he_o have_v see_v he_o or_o no_o you_o know_v mary_n magdalâ—u_n she_o be_v very_o solicitous_a she_o stand_v weep_v she_o see_v he_o and_o she_o will_v not_o believe_v she_o own_o sense_n and_o so_o it_o be_v with_o a_o poor_a child_n of_o god_n oh_o it_o be_v so_o solicitous_a that_o though_o it_o have_v see_v christ_n and_o experience_n of_o his_o goodness_n and_o his_o favour_n and_o love_n yet_o it_o will_v scarce_o believe_v his_o own_o sense_n and_o he_o be_v apt_a to_o call_v all_o in_o question_n whether_o he_o have_v see_v the_o lord_n or_o no_o so_o that_o still_o i_o say_v after_o all_o experience_n and_o the_o manifestation_n of_o love_n the_o soul_n will_v call_v all_o in_o question_n many_o and_o many_o a_o time_n if_o iâ—_n have_v not_o a_o word_n of_o grace_n to_o trust_v to_o and_o therefore_o the_o saint_n be_v more_o beholden_a to_o the_o lord_n for_o his_o word_n of_o gruce_n to_o they_o then_o for_o all_o experience_n and_o remember_v this_o that_o though_o god_n have_v do_v vever_o so_o much_o for_o you_o and_o you_o have_v see_v hiâ—_n go_n in_o your_o heart_n yet_o do_v not_o you_o make_v your_o experience_n the_o first_o ground_n oâ—_n your_o trust_n and_o do_v not_o trust_v to_o your_o experience_n so_o but_o look_v to_o the_o promise_n as_o thâ—_n promise_v as_o the_o only_a foundation_n that_o will_v â—ear_v up_o your_o heart_n for_o ever_o through_o all_o dark_a condition_n and_o so_o for_o experience_n look_v upon_o they_o as_o crutch_n to_o lead_v you_o to_o the_o word_n of_o his_o grace_n but_o they_o be_v not_o to_o be_v rest_v in_o the_o four_o sermon_n on_o dan_n iii_o xxv_o he_o answer_v and_o say_v lo_o
in_o himself_o at_o that_o very_a time_n to_o look_v upon_o he_o in_o christ_n and_o behold_v he_o as_o righteous_a as_o if_o he_o have_v no_o spot_n no_o defilement_n in_o he_o brethren_n all_o these_o be_v miracle_n of_o mercy_n again_o that_o god_n shall_v pour_v out_o his_o spirit_n upon_o a_o poor_a lump_n of_o flesh_n that_o his_o spirit_n shall_v work_v upon_o a_o poor_a creature_n and_o take_v a_o poor_a creature_n into_o union_n with_o himself_o and_o communion_n with_o himself_o that_o he_o shall_v be_v work_v in_o the_o heart_n and_o cleanse_v a_o poor_a creature_n from_o pollution_n both_o of_o flesh_n and_o spirit_n all_o these_o be_v miracle_n miraracle_n of_o wisdom_n miracle_n of_o power_n and_o miracle_n of_o mercy_n that_o do_v shine_v in_o the_o bring_n home_o of_o a_o soul_n to_o god_n and_o therefore_o to_o conclude_v all_o in_o the_o last_o place_n let_v we_o bless_v god_n for_o his_o word_n and_o look_v more_o use_n 3_o to_o the_o word_n of_o god_n then_o to_o miracle_n see_v what_o power_n god_n have_v put_v into_o his_o word_n and_o how_o he_o â—s_v please_v to_o accompany_v his_o word_n with_o his_o spirit_n and_o do_v great_a thing_n and_o now_o why_o shall_v we_o look_v to_o miracle_n and_o why_o shall_v we_o stand_v upon_o miracle_n true_o if_o you_o will_v not_o believe_v the_o word_n of_o the_o lord_n without_o miracle_n neither_o will_v you_o believe_v though_o god_n shall_v work_v miracle_n why_o there_o be_v more_o power_n in_o the_o word_n to_o persuade_v the_o heart_n that_o it_o be_v indeed_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o so_o to_o overcome_v the_o soul_n to_o believe_v to_o rest_v on_o it_o than_o there_o be_v in_o all_o miracle_n that_o can_v be_v show_v and_o therefore_o in_o this_o case_n if_o any_o look_n for_o a_o miracle_n they_o may_v hear_v christ_n say_v no_o miracle_n shall_v be_v give_v to_o such_o a_o generation_n he_o that_o believe_v nâ—t_v the_o word_n he_o will_v not_o believe_v though_o one_o rise_v from_o the_o dead_a nabuchadnezzar_n he_o see_v three_o man_n that_o have_v a_o resurrection_n from_o the_o dead_a they_o be_v dead_a in_o all_o their_o account_n they_o think_v that_o they_o have_v be_v all_o consume_v they_o have_v a_o unexpected_a life_n they_o be_v all_o loose_a walk_v in_o the_o midst_n of_o the_o fire_n and_o yet_o i_o say_v nebuchadnezar_n heart_n be_v not_o firm_o wrought_v upon_o by_o this_o miracle_n but_o he_o return_v again_o to_o hiâ—_n own_o folly_n and_o therefore_o oh_o praise_v the_o lord_n for_o his_o word_n bless_v the_o lord_n for_o his_o word_n if_o it_o have_v not_o be_v for_o the_o word_n of_o his_o grace_n how_o shall_v a_o poor_a creature_n have_v be_v bring_v in_o and_o what_o shall_v poor_a creature_n have_v rely_v upon_o what_o foundation_n to_o build_v upon_o what_o can_v give_v boldness_n and_o confidence_n to_o a_o poor_a soul_n to_o draw_v nigh_o to_o god_n true_o it_o can_v not_o be_v it_o be_v impossible_a that_o the_o heart_n shall_v be_v overcome_v to_o submit_v to_o god_n without_o the_o word_n of_o his_o grace_n oh_o bless_v the_o lord_n for_o his_o word_n we_o be_v more_o beholden_a to_o the_o lord_n for_o his_o word_n then_o for_o all_o miracle_n that_o possible_o can_v be_v show_v the_o five_o sermon_n on_o dan_n iii_o xxv_o he_o answer_v and_o say_v lo_o i_o see_v four_o man_n loose_a walk_v in_o the_o midst_n of_o the_o fire_n and_o they_o have_v no_o hurt_n and_o the_o form_n of_o the_o four_o be_v like_o the_o son_n of_o god_n there_o be_v witness_v give_v to_o a_o miraculous_a suffer_v he_o to_o have_v his_o will_n he_o do_v rejoice_v in_o the_o goodness_n of_o god_n that_o be_v show_v to_o his_o servant_n he_o rejoice_v in_o their_o constancy_n that_o they_o do_v not_o obey_v the_o king_n command_n worship_v his_o god_n he_o do_v rejoice_v in_o their_o deliverance_n he_o do_v acknowledge_v that_o it_o be_v god_n that_o deliver_v they_o he_o take_v care_n of_o the_o worship_n of_o god_n to_o promote_v it_o he_o make_v a_o penal_a statute_n that_o whosoever_o do_v profane_v the_o name_n of_o god_n shall_v be_v cut_v in_o piece_n and_o yet_o notwithstanding_o for_o all_o this_o we_o conclude_v probable_o that_o nabuchadnezzar_n be_v not_o convert_v for_o in_o the_o next_o chapter_n he_o return_v to_o his_o old_a way_n of_o sin_n of_o superstition_n he_o dream_v a_o dream_n and_o he_o send_v for_o the_o sorcerer_n to_o tell_v â—im_v his_o dream_n which_o belong_v to_o god_n to_o reveal_v secret_n as_o daniel_n tell_v he_o so_o than_o we_o observe_v that_o it_o be_v not_o in_o the_o poâ—er_n of_o the_o great_a miracle_n to_o convert_v observat_fw-la observat_fw-la a_o soul_n to_o god_n nabuchadnezzar_n see_v great_a miracle_n miracle_n of_o mercy_n and_o miracle_n of_o judgement_n we_o tell_v you_o pâ—araoh_n see_v miracle_n and_o israel_n see_v miracle_n in_o egypt_n and_o at_o the_o red_a sea_n in_o the_o wilderness_n miracle_n of_o mercy_n out_o of_o the_o rock_n and_o notwithstanding_o for_o all_o this_o they_o be_v a_o stubborn_a generation_n and_o dwell_v in_o unbelief_n our_o saviour_n tell_v we_o in_o that_o parable_n in_o the_o 16._o of_o luke_n but_o they_o be_v the_o word_n of_o abraham_n they_o have_v moses_n and_o the_o prophet_n and_o if_o they_o will_v not_o hear_v they_o and_o believe_v neither_o will_v â—hey_n believe_v though_o one_o rise_v from_o the_o dead_a though_o god_n shall_v show_v the_o great_a miracle_n yet_o that_o will_v not_o convince_v they_o that_o will_v not_o bring_v off_o their_o heart_n to_o believe_v in_o the_o son_n of_o god_n it_o be_v the_o hard_a matter_n in_o the_o world_n to_o bring_v god_n and_o the_o heart_n together_o they_o be_v at_o such_o a_o great_a dâ—stance_n infinite_a distance_n and_o the_o heart_n of_o the_o creature_n be_v fill_v with_o such_o slavery_n and_o lay_v under_o bondage_n that_o it_o dare_v not_o go_v to_o god_n when_o god_n call_v to_o behold_v his_o face_n in_o his_o son_n but_o run_v to_o the_o bush_n as_o adam_n do_v but_o though_o miracle_n will_v not_o do_v it_o it_o have_v a_o word_n of_o grace_n a_o sure_a word_n of_o grace_n to_o draw_v nigh_o to_o god_n and_o therefore_o we_o shall_v look_v upon_o that_o miracle_n of_o iniquity_n that_o be_v in_o the_o heart_n of_o all_o the_o son_n of_o adam_n it_o be_v a_o strange_a thing_n that_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n shall_v outstand_v so_o many_o blow_n that_o so_o small_a a_o piece_n of_o flesh_n as_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n be_v shall_v withstand_v those_o great_a battery_n that_o god_n many_o time_n be_v please_v to_o make_v by_o judgement_n wonderful_a judgement_n when_o he_o declare_v his_o wrath_n from_o heaven_n to_o sinner_n and_o consider_v what_o a_o miracle_n of_o mercy_n it_o be_v that_o any_o soul_n shall_v be_v convert_v and_o bring_v home_o to_o god_n see_v conversion_n be_v so_o hard_a a_o thing_n and_o miracle_n will_v not_o do_v it_o what_o a_o miracle_n it_o be_v for_o a_o soul_n to_o be_v bring_v home_o to_o god_n i_o show_v how_o many_o miracle_n be_v in_o this_o work_n miracle_n of_o wisdom_n miracle_n of_o power_n miracle_n of_o mercy_n oh_o we_o shall_v bless_v the_o lord_n that_o have_v give_v we_o his_o word_n we_o shall_v prefer_v the_o word_n before_o miracle_n we_o shall_v not_o look_v to_o miracle_n but_o we_o shall_v look_v to_o the_o word_n of_o the_o lord_n god_n have_v make_v that_o to_o bring_v home_o soul_n and_o therefore_o we_o be_v infinite_o behold_v to_o the_o lord_n for_o the_o word_n of_o his_o grace_n that_o we_o have_v the_o word_n of_o his_o grace_n to_o trust_v in_o we_o proceed_v consider_v who_o it_o be_v that_o bare_a witness_n to_o the_o miracle_n it_o be_v nabuchadnezzar_n that_o be_v a_o enemy_n to_o the_o saint_n a_o persecutor_n a_o scorner_n a_o contemner_n of_o god_n who_o be_v that_o god_n that_o shall_v deliver_v out_o of_o my_o hand_n and_o yet_o the_o lord_n make_v he_o
though_o he_o have_v speak_v many_o year_n ago_o yet_o the_o lord_n he_o can_v forget_v his_o promise_n he_o be_v always_o mindful_a of_o his_o promise_n see_v in_o the_o first_o of_o chron._n and_o the_o 16._o chapter_n and_o the_o 15._o verse_n he_o be_v mindful_a always_o of_o his_o covenant_n the_o word_n which_o he_o command_v to_o a_o thousand_o generation_n though_o the_o promise_n be_v give_v out_o never_o so_o long_o ago_o suppose_v it_o be_v a_o thousand_o generation_n yet_o the_o lord_n he_o be_v always_o mindful_a of_o his_o promise_n always_o mindful_a of_o his_o covenant_n to_o a_o thousand_o generation_n a_o man_n may_v promise_v his_o friend_n to_o meet_v with_o he_o but_o it_o be_v possible_a a_o man_n may_v forget_v his_o promise_n but_o so_o can_v god_n he_o be_v ever_o mindful_a of_o his_o promise_n again_o he_o can_v mistake_v the_o time_n happy_o a_o man_n though_o he_o have_v promise_v yet_o he_o may_v mistake_v the_o time_n he_o know_v not_o how_o the_o time_n pass_v and_o so_o may_v be_v deceive_v but_o it_o can_v be_v so_o with_o god_n he_o know_v all_o time_n all_o creature_n foreknowâ—_n unto_o god_n be_v all_o his_o work_n from_o the_o begin_n of_o the_o world_n act_v 15._o 18._o nay_o he_o can_v be_v hinder_v by_o any_o impediment_n his_o father_n will_v not_o hinder_v he_o he_o be_v willing_a to_o spare_v he_o out_o of_o heaven_n for_o communion_n with_o himself_o that_o they_o may_v see_v more_o of_o he_o &_o that_o they_o may_v enjoy_v more_o of_o he_o and_o he_o enjoy_v more_o of_o they_o that_o he_o may_v make_v use_n of_o affliction_n to_o remove_v that_o which_o be_v in_o the_o way_n between_o he_o and_o the_o soul_n to_o subdue_v corruption_n and_o to_o strengthen_v faith_n and_o to_o draw_v forth_o grace_n to_o heighten_v the_o holiness_n and_o the_o grace_n of_o the_o soul_n and_o to_o comfort_v the_o heart_n and_o all_o that_o the_o soul_n may_v enjoy_v more_o communion_n with_o christ_n he_o do_v take_v his_o people_n into_o a_o by-lane_n as_o i_o may_v say_v in_o every_o affliction_n that_o he_o may_v speak_v unto_o they_o he_o take_v the_o spouse_n into_o the_o wilderness_n that_o he_o may_v speak_v to_o she_o and_o so_o do_v jesus_n christ_n when_o he_o take_v his_o people_n into_o a_o by-way_n it_o be_v that_o he_o may_v speak_v something_o more_o to_o they_o that_o he_o may_v speak_v free_o and_o speak_v something_o that_o may_v be_v for_o their_o good_a he_o do_v not_o speak_v in_o affliction_n because_o he_o delight_v in_o affliction_n he_o do_v not_o delight_n in_o their_o affliction_n he_o do_v not_o afflict_v that_o he_o may_v be_v satisfy_v no_o affliction_n they_o be_v not_o their_o punishment_n for_o god_n have_v satisfaction_n at_o the_o hand_n of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o therefore_o it_o relate_v to_o something_o to_o come_v that_o he_o may_v with_o this_o chastisement_n draw_v the_o soul_n more_o nigh_o and_o see_v more_o of_o he_o and_o enjoy_v more_o of_o he_o more_o of_o his_o presence_n of_o his_o love_n more_o communion_n with_o he_o that_o he_o may_v comfort_v strengthen_v and_o support_v and_o sanctify_v and_o therefore_o see_v it_o be_v the_o end_n the_o main_a end_n of_o affliction_n that_o jesus_n christ_n and_o his_o people_n may_v meet_v and_o converse_v together_o certain_o god_n people_n must_v not_o slight_v this_o his_o afflict_v they_o must_v not_o slight_v this_o main_a end_n of_o god_n object_n but_o if_o christ_n do_v meet_v with_o his_o people_n in_o affliction_n the_o presence_n of_o christ_n can_v countervail_v the_o bitterness_n of_o the_o affliction_n answ_n but_o it_o will_v to_o the_o full_a for_o there_o be_v that_o in_o the_o presence_n of_o christ_n which_o may_v supply_v the_o want_n of_o all_o creature_n i_o say_v there_o be_v all_o goodness_n all_o sweetness_n gather_v together_o in_o the_o son_n of_o god_n which_o be_v scatter_v up_o and_o down_o in_o creature_n and_o therefore_o in_o heaven_n the_o saint_n need_v no_o creature_n comfort_n they_o need_v not_o the_o light_n of_o the_o sun_n nor_o the_o light_n of_o the_o moon_n and_o there_o all_o recomfortable_a relation_n be_v break_v a_o piece_n there_o be_v no_o husband_n nor_o wife_n nor_o child_n master_n nor_o servant_n why_o because_o the_o good_a of_o â—ll_a these_o lation_n do_v meet_v in_o christ_n and_o the_o good_a of_o all_o these_o relation_n shall_v be_v supply_v by_o the_o presence_n of_o christ_n and_o therefore_o christ_n tell_v his_o disciple_n in_o mat_n 22._o 30._o in_o the_o say_v the_o psalmist_n in_o psalm_n 16._o v._n last_o in_o thy_o presence_n be_v fullness_n of_o joy_n at_o thy_o right_a hand_n be_v pleasure_n for_o evermore_o there_o be_v a_o fullness_n of_o joy_n in_o the_o presence_n of_o christ_n there_o be_v not_o a_o fullness_n of_o sorrow_n in_o any_o condition_n no_o there_o be_v a_o mixture_n of_o mercy_n in_o every_o condition_n the_o evil_a that_o a_o soul_n meet_v with_o be_v not_o infinite_a there_o be_v not_o a_o fullness_n of_o sorrow_n but_o in_o the_o presence_n of_o christ_n there_o be_v a_o fullness_n of_o joy_n there_o be_v that_o which_o can_v abundant_o countervail_v the_o evil_a that_o be_v meet_v with_o in_o any_o condition_n if_o all_o the_o evil_a under_o the_o sun_n be_v meet_v together_o in_o one_o condition_n and_o a_o soul_n bring_v into_o it_o yet_o it_o may_v find_v in_o the_o presence_n of_o christ_n that_o which_o may_v answer_v that_o condition_n the_o presence_n of_o christ_n will_v comfort_v and_o support_v and_o raise_v up_o a_o soul_n in_o that_o evil_a condition_n and_o therefore_o you_o shall_v find_v that_o the_o presence_n of_o christ_n have_v make_v the_o saint_n to_o rejoice_v in_o tribulation_n to_o joy_v abundant_o the_o apostle_n rejoice_v that_o they_o be_v count_v worthy_a to_o suffer_v for_o the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n christ_n it_o do_v fill_v the_o soul_n with_o holy_a joy_n heavenly_a rapture_n yea_o the_o presence_n of_o christ_n have_v be_v astonishment_n to_o the_o soul_n many_o time_n when_o it_o have_v be_v in_o a_o sad_a condition_n see_v what_o paul_n say_v of_o himself_o a_o sad_a condition_n it_o be_v immediate_o after_o his_o conversion_n when_o the_o light_n of_o his_o body_n be_v take_v away_o by_o blindness_n now_o it_o be_v suppose_v when_o paul_n be_v blind_a
