be_v there_o not_o many_o that_o be_v give_v up_o to_o the_o sin_n of_o drink_v and_o idleness_n and_o company-keeping_a and_o other_o to_o other_o sin_n you_o see_v many_o plod_n on_o in_o a_o old_a track_n of_o sin_n some_o lie_v a_o long_a time_n in_o a_o dead_a sottish_a course_n so_o as_o the_o most_o powerful_a ministry_n in_o the_o world_n will_v not_o stir_v they_o which_o be_v a_o evidence_n that_o the_o lord_n have_v curse_v such_o therefore_o the_o ministry_n can_v do_v they_o no_o good_a and_o this_o be_v the_o first_o curse_n upon_o man_n that_o love_v not_o the_o lord_n jesus_n but_o perhaps_o thou_o regard_v not_o this_o curse_n because_o thou_o regard_v not_o grace_n and_o holiness_n from_o which_o it_o sequester_v thou_o god_n but_o yet_o there_o be_v another_o branch_n of_o it_o thou_o shall_v be_v separate_v from_o the_o presence_n of_o the_o lord_n that_o be_v from_o the_o joy_n from_o the_o influence_n from_o the_o protection_n of_o god_n and_o this_o creature_n about_o you_o which_o natural_o have_v blessing_n in_o they_o yet_o they_o shall_v not_o give_v down_o that_o milk_n for_o your_o comfort_n you_o shall_v not_o be_v satisfy_v with_o they_o you_o live_v here_o in_o this_o life_n there_o be_v a_o certain_a show_n a_o certain_a twilight_n of_o comfort_n that_o the_o lord_n sometime_o afford_v even_o to_o evil_a man_n but_o then_o there_o shall_v be_v a_o perfect_a midnight_n than_o the_o sun_n of_o comfort_n shall_v set_v upon_o you_o altogether_o and_o rise_v no_o more_o in_o that_o

child_n and_o loath_a to_o rise_v but_o you_o must_v knock_v and_o knock_v again_o and_o as_o it_o be_v with_o the_o unjust_a judge_n importunity_n must_v do_v it_o though_o your_o desire_n be_v all_o too_o little_a to_o suffer_v persecution_n for_o his_o sake_n and_o to_o rejoice_v in_o it_o to_o be_v content_a to_o be_v scoff_v at_o and_o hate_v of_o man_n to_o do_v to_o suffer_v any_o thing_n for_o his_o sake_n and_o when_o all_o this_o be_v do_v to_o regard_v it_o as_o nothing_o to_o reckon_v themselves_o unprofitable_a servant_n to_o account_v of_o all_o as_o not_o worthy_a of_o heaven_n to_o any_o they_o shall_v stand_v open_a but_o now_o in_o the_o preach_n of_o the_o word_n the_o gate_n of_o heaven_n stand_v open_a to_o every_o one_o of_o you_o therefore_o come_v in_o while_o it_o be_v call_v to_o day_n before_o the_o sun_n set_v on_o you_o as_o you_o know_v not_o how_o soon_o it_o may_v indeed_o if_o we_o have_v not_o make_v the_o offer_n the_o danger_n have_v be_v we_o and_o we_o shall_v have_v perish_v for_o your_o sake_n but_o see_v we_o have_v make_v manifest_a the_o whole_a council_n of_o god_n we_o be_v now_o free_a from_o the_o blood_n of_o every_o the_o saint_n make_v that_o it_o be_v no_o more_o but_o seek_v and_o have_v we_o will_v trust_v in_o god_n in_o difficult_a case_n but_o i_o find_v by_o experience_n that_o i_o pray_v and_o he_o do_v not_o answer_v i_o and_o it_o be_v not_o my_o experience_n only_o but_o it_o be_v the_o experience_n of_o other_o likewise_o they_o pray_v and_o god_n do_v not_o hear_v their_o prayer_n what_o shall_v sustain_v i_o therefore_o now_o ans._n to_o this_o i_o answer_v it_o be_v certain_a that_o god_n always_o hear_v thy_o prayer_n there_o be_v no_o doubt_n to_o be_v make_v of_o that_o he_o be_v a_o god_n hear_v prayer_n and_o have_v make_v a_o promise_n that_o when_o they_o come_v he_o will_v hear_v they_o be_v assure_v therefore_o that_o he_o hear_v but_o now_o to_o answer_v thou_o first_o thou_o shall_v be_v ready_a to_o say_v thus_o lord_n i_o see_v no_o reason_n why_o this_o shall_v not_o be_v good_a and_o yet_o i_o may_v be_v deceive_v i_o may_v be_v mistake_v therefore_o i_o will_v not_o ask_v it_o absolute_o it_o may_v be_v the_o want_n of_o it_o be_v better_a for_o i_o then_o the_o enjoy_n of_o it_o it_o may_v be_v to_o be_v cross_v in_o it_o be_v better_a for_o i_o then_o to_o have_v success_n in_o it_o thou_o be_v only_o wise_a i_o be_o not_o able_a to_o judge_v and_o therefore_o when_o we_o come_v to_o ask_v any_o thing_n of_o god_n thus_o we_o shall_v do_v paul_n shall_v not_o hear_v that_o prayer_n and_o yet_o in_o that_o case_n paul_n be_v mistake_v god_n see_v it_o be_v best_a to_o suffer_v that_o lust_n to_o continue_v upon_o he_o and_o to_o contend_v with_o he_o thou_o shall_v not_o be_v free_a from_o this_o strong_a temptation_n for_o say_v he_o by_o this_o i_o will_v humble_v thou_o thou_o shall_v have_v a_o better_a grace_n than_o thou_o shall_v have_v if_o that_o lust_n be_v take_v away_o when_o paul_n see_v that_o the_o continuance_n of_o that_o upon_o he_o it_o humble_v he_o more_o that_o it_o bring_v more_o glory_n to_o god_n that_o it_o show_v god_n power_n in_o his_o weakness_n he_o be_v content_a he_o see_v that_o he_o be_v deceive_v before_o i_o say_v in_o such_o a_o case_n a_o man_n may_v be_v deceive_v much_o more_o in_o outward_a thing_n you_o know_v the_o disciple_n when_o they_o come_v to_o ask_v fire_n to_o come_v down_o from_o heaven_n they_o think_v it_o be_v a_o zealous_a request_n but_o christ_n tell_v they_o that_o they_o be_v deceive_v they_o know_v not_o from_o what_o spirit_n that_o request_n do_v come_v if_o it_o have_v come_v from_o god_n spirit_n he_o will_v have_v hear_v it_o but_o they_o be_v deceive_v so_o if_o thou_o will_v have_v god_n hear_v thy_o prayer_n know_v whether_o they_o come_v from_o god_n spirit_n whether_o thy_o prayer_n be_v the_o voice_n of_o thy_o own_o spirit_n or_o of_o god_n spirit_n if_o it_o be_v the_o voice_n of_o god_n spirit_n he_o hear_v it_o always_o because_o it_o ask_v according_a to_o his_o will_n our_o spirit_n may_v ask_v that_o which_o be_v good_a but_o not_o that_o which_o be_v fit_a at_o this_o time_n mercy_n second_o he_o will_v hear_v thou_o but_o it_o may_v be_v thou_o be_v not_o yet_o fit_a for_o the_o mercy_n not_o because_o he_o do_v not_o hear_v thy_o prayer_n and_o tender_v thou_o in_o that_o case_n thou_o be_v in_o but_o thou_o ar●_n not_o yet_o fit_a herein_o god_n deal_v with_o we_o as_o the_o physician_n deal_v with_o medicine_n that_o it_o may_v not_o hurt_v he_o it_o may_v be_v god_n stay_v thou_o so_o the_o man_n of_o benjamin_n they_o be_v fit_v when_o they_o have_v fast_v and_o pray_v three_o time_n when_o christ_n to_o live_v with_o he_o for_o ever_o to_o be_v in_o his_o presence_n continual_o although_o there_o may_v be_v some_o reluctancy_n by_o reason_n of_o the_o flesh_n that_o be_v there_o to_o it_o so_o it_o be_v with_o the_o heart_n of_o the_o regenerate_a man_n look_v how_o much_o faith_n look_v how_o much_o spirit_n there_o be_v so_o much_o desire_v there_o be_v of_o the_o presence_n of_o christ_n and_o it_o be_v most_o please_a and_o acceptable_a to_o he_o as_o the_o light_n of_o the_o sun_n be_v to_o the_o eye_n but_o look_v how_o much_o soreness_n that_o be_v look_v how_o much_o flesh_n there_o be_v in_o he_o so_o much_o reluctancy_n so_o much_o unwillingnes_n there_o be_v in_o he_o and_o that_o he_o must_v strive_v against_o but_o still_o the_o rule_n hold_v good_a that_o wheresoever_o the_o heart_n be_v right_a there_o be_v always_o a_o earnest_a desire_n and_o longing_n to_o be_v with_o christ._n and_o indeed_o this_o be_v only_o find_v in_o the_o saint_n for_o evil_a man_n if_o they_o know_v what_o heaven_n be_v they_o will_v never_o desire_v it_o for_o they_o desire_v heaven_n in_o another_o notion_n they_o will_v be_v well_o they_o will_v be_v free_v from_o misery_n and_o discontent_n which_o they_o meet_v with_o in_o the_o world_n they_o will_v have_v whatsoever_o the_o flesh_n desire_v and_o that_o be_v it_o they_o look_v after_o but_o to_o desire_v heaven_n as_o it_o be_v that_o be_v to_o desire_v a_o excellency_n in_o grace_n to_o be_v always_o praise_v god_n to_o be_v continual_o in_o his_o presence_n to_o be_v free_v from_o the_o practice_n of_o sin_n this_o be_v a_o thing_n that_o if_o man_n ask_v their_o own_o heart_n they_o do_v not_o desire_v in_o this_o manner_n for_o they_o desire_v it_o not_o here_o upon_o be_v always_o sing_v praise_n to_o the_o lord_n sing_v praise_n to_o the_o lord_n and_o be_v always_o talk_v of_o his_o wondrous_a work_n and_o again_o remember_v his_o marvellous_a work_n that_o he_o have_v do_v of_o old_a and_o all_o the_o wonder_n etc._n etc._n as_o if_o he_o shall_v say_v if_o you_o love_v the_o lord_n show_v it_o in_o praise_v of_o he_o do_v you_o profess_v to_o love_v the_o world_n be_v it_o because_o you_o be_v ashamed_a because_o you_o be_v bashful_a and_o fearful_a to_o express_v yourselves_o and_o to_o make_v a_o open_a profession_n of_o that_o holiness_n that_o be_v in_o your_o heart_n certain_o it_o be_v a_o sign_n that_o you_o love_v not_o the_o lord_n jesus_n for_o he_o that_o love_v be_v never_o ashamed_a because_o who_o a_o man_n love_v he_o magnify_v he_o prize_v much_o he_o have_v a_o high_a esteem_n of_o and_o therefore_o that_o bashfulness_n and_o fearfulness_n that_o you_o object_n will_v not_o keep_v you_o back_o if_o you_o do_v love_v the_o lord_n in_o truth_n and_o sincerity_n or_o else_o why_o be_v it_o that_o you_o speak_v of_o he_o no_o more_o be_v it_o because_o you_o can_v speak_v be_v it_o because_o your_o understanding_n be_v weak_a and_o dull_a because_o you_o be_v not_o able_a to_o do_v it_o as_o well_o as_o other_o and_o therefore_o you_o be_v loath_a to_o express_v yourselves_o you_o know_v when_o you_o love_v any_o that_o love_n will_v teach_v you_o to_o speak_v it_o will_v quicken_v the_o dull_a wit_n and_o invention_n love_n sharpen_v and_o make_v the_o rude_a tongue_n eloquent_a it_o be_v the_o nature_n of_o love_n to_o set_v the_o heart_n on_o work_n and_o when_o the_o heart_n be_v set_v on_o work_n the_o tongue_n will_v be_v as_o the_o pen_n of_o a_o ready_a writer_n you_o know_v how_o the_o apostle_n set_v it_o forth_o our_o heart_n be_v enlarge_v to_o you_o love_n open_v the_o heart_n wide_a and_o the_o heart_n open_v the_o tongue_n wide_o therefore_o if_o you_o love_v the_o lord_n much_o you_o will_v be_v much_o in_o speak_v of_o he_o consider_v therefore_o what_o your_o speech_n be_v concern_v god_n whether_o you_o yourselves_o be_v ready_a to_o speak_v much_o and_o to_o delight_v to_o hear_v other_o speak_v also_o whether_o you_o be_v glad_a of_o any_o occasion_n as_o those_o that_o love_n be_v glad_a to_o hear_v those_o that_o they_o love_v to_o be_v speak_v of_o five_o belove_v love_n will_v do_v much_o and_o suffer_v much_o for_o the_o party_n love_v paul_n as_o he_o be_v abundant_a in_o love_n so_o he_o be_v abundant_a in_o labour_n likewise_o whosoever_o abound_v in_o
