a_o authority_n to_o determine_v in_o controversy_n of_o faith_n as_o our_o church_n teach_v in_o her_o twenty_o article_n add_v to_o this_o that_o st._n paul_n tell_v we_o 1_o tim._n 3.15_o that_o the_o church_n be_v the_o ground_n and_o pillar_n of_o truth_n and_o whither_o then_o shall_v we_o go_v in_o doubt_n and_o controversy_n for_o the_o determination_n of_o what_o be_v truth_n but_o to_o the_o ground_n and_o pillar_n of_o truth_n for_o the_o clear_a understanding_n of_o this_o power_n in_o the_o church_n know_v that_o to_o this_o one_o holy_a church_n our_o lord_n commit_v in_o trust_v the_o most_o holy_a faith_n and_o the_o whole_a stock_n of_o necessary_a christian_a truth_n therefore_o call_v the_o ground_n and_o pillar_n of_o truth_n this_o truth_n she_o must_v endeavour_v to_o preserve_v as_o by_o stop_v the_o mouth_n of_o obstinate_a gainsayer_n so_o by_o guide_v and_o govern_v the_o meek_a but_o weak_a doubter_n into_o the_o truth_n by_o determine_v their_o doubt_n and_o controversy_n not_o that_o the_o church_n can_v make_v article_n of_o faith_n and_o obtrude_v they_o upon_o the_o member_n but_o that_o she_o may_v and_o must_v if_o the_o true_a sense_n of_o faith_n and_o holy_a scripture_n be_v call_v in_o question_n declare_v and_o determine_v what_o that_o sense_n be_v which_o she_o have_v receive_v in_o trust_n from_o christ_n and_o his_o apostle_n command_v under_o penalty_n and_o censure_n all_o her_o child_n to_o receive_v that_o sense_n and_o to_o profess_v it_o in_o such_o expressive_a word_n and_o form_n as_o may_v direct_o determine_v the_o doubt_n thus_o she_o do_v in_o the_o great_a nicene_n council_n venerable_a over_o all_o the_o christian_a world_n when_o the_o arrian_n have_v pervert_v by_o subtle_a controversy_n in_o the_o controversy_n and_o to_o determine_v which_o part_n shall_v be_v receive_v and_o profess_a for_o truth_n by_o her_o member_n and_o that_o too_o under_o ecclesiastical_a penalty_n and_o censure_n which_o they_o according_o be_v bind_v to_o submit_v to_o not_o as_o a_o infallible_a verity_n but_o as_o a_o probable_a truth_n and_o rest_n in_o her_o determination_n till_o it_o be_v make_v plain_a by_o as_o great_a or_o a_o great_a authority_n that_o this_o her_o determination_n be_v a_o error_n and_o if_o it_o shall_v appear_v to_o any_o of_o the_o member_n to_o be_v a_o error_n or_o if_o they_o shall_v think_v it_o so_o to_o be_v by_o the_o weight_n of_o such_o reason_n as_o be_v private_o suggest_v to_o they_o yet_o be_v they_o still_o oblige_v to_o silence_n and_o peace_n where_o the_o decision_n of_o a_o particular_a church_n be_v against_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o universal_a not_o to_o profess_v in_o this_o case_n against_o the_o church_n determination_n because_o the_o profess_v of_o such_o a_o controvert_v truth_n be_v not_o necessary_a but_o the_o preservation_n of_o the_o peace_n and_o unity_n of_o the_o church_n be_v this_o be_v not_o to_o assert_v infallibility_n in_o the_o church_n but_o authority_n the_o
