by_o way_n of_o excellency_n and_o denote_v he_o who_o be_v in_o the_o most_o perfect_a manner_n of_o all_o and_o of_o himself_o good_a in_o which_o sort_n we_o have_v elsewhere_o see_v that_o wisdom_n power_n and_o immortality_n be_v take_v when_o god_n only_o be_v say_v to_o be_v wise_a powerful_a and_o immortal_a in_o this_o signification_n christ_n deny_v that_o he_o be_v good_a for_o if_o you_o object_n that_o the_o argument_n the_o see_v sect._n 1._o defence_n of_o the_o first_o argument_n young_a man_n do_v not_o simple_o call_v christ_n good_a but_o good_a master_n and_o so_o so_o perfect_a a_o signification_n as_o agree_v to_o god_n only_o yet_o such_o a_o appellation_n by_o reason_n of_o its_o singularity_n recede_v from_o the_o common_a custom_n seem_v to_o favour_v of_o a_o signification_n so_o perfect_a and_o so_o of_o a_o certain_a divinity_n it_o become_v the_o great_a modesty_n of_o christ_n not_o to_o admit_v this_o title_n as_o true_o agree_v only_o to_o god_n but_o to_o decline_v and_o reject_v it_o and_o this_o be_v far_o more_o become_v than_o to_o draw_v this_o title_n utter_v in_o another_o sense_n to_o the_o confession_n of_o his_o supreme_a deity_n in_o like_a manner_n the_o same_o christ_n below_o mat._n 23.8_o 9_o 10._o admonish_v his_o disciple_n that_o they_o suffer_v not_o themselves_o to_o be_v adorn_v with_o the_o title_n of_o so_o excellent_a a_o signification_n wherein_o it_o agree_v to_o none_o but_o the_o most_o high_a god_n for_o it_o be_v sufficient_a that_o such_o a_o custom_n of_o to_o of_o that_o be_v speak_v to_o accost_v do_v savour_n of_o something_o too_o much_o and_o consequent_o of_o something_o more_o divine_a which_o agree_v to_o none_o but_o christ_n or_o to_o the_o most_o high_a god_n for_o modesty_n do_v shun_v even_o those_o thing_n also_o which_o have_v a_o show_n of_o too_o much_o what_o therefore_o the_o master_n of_o most_o perfect_a humility_n in_o those_o word_n teach_v the_o disciple_n that_o in_o this_o place_n of_o we_o do_v he_o teach_v by_o example_n whilst_o he_o reject_v the_o title_n of_o good_a as_o too_o much_o and_o proper_a to_o god_n only_o hence_o also_o it_o be_v
