strength_n to_o heap_n up_o riches_n but_o other_o judge_v that_o to_o be_v the_o sovereign_n good_a which_o be_v most_o worthy_a of_o veneration_n endeavour_n by_o the_o get_n of_o honour_n or_o illustrious_a title_n to_o render_v themselves_o venerable_a to_o their_o own_o countryman_n other_o there_o be_v that_o hold_v the_o sovereign_n good_a to_o consist_v in_o the_o great_a power_n or_o dominion_n these_o man_n will_v either_o reign_v themselves_o or_o they_o endeavour_v to_o be_v next_o to_o he_o that_o hold_v the_o sceptre_n and_o it_o seem_v to_o other_o that_o glory_n or_o renown_n be_v the_o sovereign_n good_n these_o make_v all_o possible_a speed_n to_o get_v a_o glorious_a name_n by_o the_o art_n of_o war_n or_o peace_n but_o the_o great_a number_n of_o man_n measure_v the_o fruit_n of_o good_a by_o joy_n and_o mirth_n these_o think_v it_o the_o most_o happy_a state_n to_o overflow_v with_o pleasure_n and_o some_o there_o be_v that_o exchange_n the_o end_n and_o cause_n of_o these_o good_n viz._n why_o they_o desire_v they_o one_o for_o another_o as_o they_o who_o desire_v riches_n that_o they_o may_v attein_v to_o power_n and_o dignity_n and_o have_v all_o the_o mean_n of_o enjoy_v such_o carnal_a pleasure_n to_o which_o they_o be_v most_o incline_v or_o they_o who_o will_v fain_o be_v in_o power_n that_o they_o may_v get_v money_n or_o a_o great_a name_n to_o these_o and_o such_o like_a thing_n be_v the_o bent_n or_o intention_n of_o humane_a action_n and_o desire_n nobility_n and_o the_o favour_n of_o the_o people_n seem_v to_o procure_v a_o illustrious_a name_n a_o wife_n and_o child_n be_v desire_v for_o the_o pleasure_n and_o delight_n man_n hope_v to_o receive_v from_o they_o but_o as_o for_o friend_n which_o be_v the_o most_o sacred_a kind_n of_o good_n we_o do_v not_o judge_v of_o they_o as_o appertein_v
neglect_v and_o suffer_v to_o lie_v in_o the_o dirt_n but_o it_o be_v not_o so_o for_o if_o those_o thing_n which_o be_v conclude_v a_o little_a before_o be_v fix_v in_o thy_o mind_n thou_o shall_v understand_v by_o his_o instruction_n who_o kingdom_n we_o speak_v of_o that_o good_a man_n be_v always_o powerful_a and_o evil_a man_n be_v always_o weak_a and_o contemptible_a and_o that_o vice_n evil_n be_v make_v to_o appear_v the_o strength_n and_o firmness_n of_o good_a can_v but_o be_v know_v likewise_o that_o the_o truth_n of_o that_o i_o say_v may_v be_v most_o clear_o and_o abundant_o demonstrate_v i_o shall_v go_v sometime_o this_o way_n and_o sometime_o that_o in_o the_o pursuit_n of_o the_o matter_n i_o have_v undertake_v to_o treat_v of_o there_o be_v two_o thing_n wherein_o all_o the_o effect_n of_o humane_a action_n do_v consist_v to_o wit_n will_n and_o power_n of_o which_o if_o one_o be_v want_v nothing_o can_v be_v do_v for_o if_o the_o will_v fail_v no_o man_n attempt_v any_o thing_n but_o if_o power_n be_v want_v it_o be_v in_o vain_a to_o will_v any_o thing_n so_o that_o if_o thou_o see_v any_o man_n willing_a to_o get_v that_o which_o he_o do_v not_o desire_v will_v cease_v to_o be_v evil_a it_o be_v true_a sith_o therefore_o both_o sort_n of_o man_n desire_v good_a but_o some_o attein_n thereunto_o other_o come_v short_a of_o it_o it_o can_v be_v
