of_o child_n yet_o they_o strive_v for_o their_o child_n when_o they_o be_v bear_v the_o godly_a parent_n strive_v for_o the_o child_n and_o by_o prayer_n counsel_n and_o good_a example_n labour_n to_o make_v it_o holy_a in_o body_n and_o soul_n and_o so_o fit_a for_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n but_o the_o '_o ungodly_a will_v have_v it_o like_o himself_o wicked_a and_o base_a and_o sinful_a and_o so_o they_o both_o give_v instruction_n according_o instruction_n do_v i_o say_v yea_o and_o example_n too_o according_a to_o their_o mind_n thus_o the_o godly_a as_o hannah_n be_v present_v she_o samuel_n unto_o the_o lord_n but_o the_o ungodly_a like_v they_o that_o go_v before_o they_o be_v for_o offer_v their_o child_n to_o moloch_n to_o a_o idol_n to_o sin_n to_o the_o devil_n and_o to_o hell_n thus_o one_o harken_v to_o the_o law_n of_o their_o mother_n and_o be_v preserve_v from_o destruction_n but_o as_o for_o the_o other_o as_o their_o father_n do_v so_o do_v they_o thus_o do_v mr._n badman_n and_o his_o wife_n part_v some_o of_o their_o child_n betwixt_o they_o but_o as_o for_o the_o other_o three_o that_o be_v as_o it_o be_v mongrel_n betwixt_o both_o they_o be_v like_a unto_o those_o that_o you_o read_v of_o in_o king_n they_o fear_v the_o lord_n 17._o but_o serve_v their_o own_o idol_n they_o have_v as_o i_o say_v their_o mother_n notion_n and_o i_o will_v add_v profession_n too_o but_o their_o father_n lust_n and_o something_o of_o his_o life_n now_o their_o father_n do_v not_o like_o they_o because_o they_o have_v their_o mother_n tongue_n and_o the_o mother_n do_v not_o like_o they_o because_o they_o have_v still_o their_o father_n heart_n and_o life_n nor_o be_v they_o indeed_o fit_a company_n for_o good_a or_o bad_a the_o good_a will_v not_o trust_v they_o because_o they_o be_v bad_a the_o bad_a will_v not_o trust_v they_o because_o they_o be_v good_a viz._n the_o good_a will_v not_o trust_v they_o because_o they_o be_v bad_a in_o their_o life_n and_o the_o bad_a will_v not_o trust_v they_o because_o they_o be_v good_a in_o their_o word_n so_o they_o be_v force_v with_o esau_n to_o join_v in_o affinity_n with_o ishmad_a to_o wit_n to_o look_v out_o a_o people_n that_o be_v hypocrite_n like_o themselves_o and_o with_o they_o they_o match_v and_o live_v and_o die_v atten._n poor_a woman_n she_o can_v not_o but_o have_v much_o perplexity_n wise._n yea_o and_o poor_a child_n that_o ever_o they_o be_v send_v into_o the_o world_n as_o the_o fruit_n of_o the_o loin_n and_o under_o the_o government_n of_o such_o a_o father_n as_o mr._n badman_n atten._n you_o say_v right_a for_o such_o child_n lie_v almost_o under_o all_o manner_n of_o disadvantage_n but_o we_o must_v say_v nothing_o because_o this_o also_o be_v the_o sovereign_a will_n of_o god_n wise._n we_o may_v not_o by_o any_o mean_v object_n against_o god_n yet_o we_o may_v talk_v of_o the_o advantage_n and_o disadvantage_n that_o child_n have_v by_o have_v for_o their_o parent_n such_o as_o be_v either_o godly_a or_o the_o contrary_n atten._n you_o say_v right_a we_o may_v so_o and_o pray_v now_o since_o we_o be_v about_o it_o speak_v something_o in_o brief_a unto_o it_o that_o be_v unto_o this_o what_o advantage_n those_o child_n have_v above_o other_o that_o have_v for_o their_o parent_n such_o as_o indeed_o be_v godly_a wise._n so_o i_o will_v godly_a only_o i_o must_v first_o premise_v these_o two_o or_o three_o thing_n 1._o they_o have_v not_o the_o advantage_n of_o election_n for_o their_o father_n sake_n 2._o they_o be_v bear_v as_o other_o the_o child_n of_o wrath_n though_o they_o come_v of_o godly_a parent_n 3._o grace_n come_v not_o unto_o they_o as_o a_o inheritance_n because_o they_o have_v godly_a parent_n these_o thing_n premise_v i_o shall_v now_o proceed_v 1._o the_o child_n of_o godly_a parent_n be_v the_o child_n of_o many_o prayer_n they_o be_v pray_v for_o before_o and_o pray_v for_o after_o they_o be_v bear_v and_o the_o prayer_n of_o a_o godly_a father_n and_o godly_a mother_n do_v much_o 2._o they_o have_v the_o advantage_n of_o what_o restraint_n be_v possible_a from_o what_o evil_n their_o parent_n see_v they_o inclinable_a to_o and_o that_o be_v a_o second_o mercy_n 3._o they_o have_v the_o advantage_n of_o godly_a instruction_n and_o of_o be_v tell_v which_o be_v and_o which_o be_v not_o the_o right_a way_n of_o the_o lord_n 4._o they_o have_v also_o those_o way_n commend_v unto_o they_o and_o speak_v well_o of_o in_o their_o hear_n that_o be_v good_a 5._o such_o be_v also_o what_o may_v be_v keep_v out_o of_o evil_a company_n from_o evil_a book_n and_o from_o be_v teach_v the_o way_n of_o swear_v lie_v and_o the_o like_a as_o sabbath-breaking_a and_o mock_v at_o good_a man_n and_o good_a thing_n and_o this_o be_v a_o very_a great_a mercy_n 6._o they_o have_v also_o the_o benefit_n of_o a_o godly_a life_n set_v before_o they_o doctrinal_o by_o their_o parent_n and_o that_o doctrine_n back_v with_o a_o godly_a and_o holy_a example_n and_o all_o these_o be_v very_o great_a advantage_n now_o all_o these_o advantage_n have_v the_o child_n of_o ungodly_a parent_n want_v and_o so_o be_v more_o in_o danger_n of_o be_v carry_v away_o with_o the_o error_n of_o the_o wicked_a for_o ungodly_a parent_n neither_o pray_v for_o their_o child_n nor_o do_v nor_o can_v they_o hearty_o instruct_v they_o they_o do_v not_o after_o a_o godly_a manner_n restrain_v they_o from_o evil_a nor_o do_v they_o keep_v they_o from_o evil_a company_n they_o be_v not_o grieve_v at_o nor_o yet_o do_v they_o forewarn_v
