file_n and_o dust_n of_o his_o saint_n out_o of_o the_o earth_n and_o to_o restore_v their_o dust_n to_o a_o immortal_a spiritual_a and_o glorious_a body_n look_v to_o the_o power_n of_o god_n nothing_o will_v be_v impossible_a therefore_o when_o the_o sadducee_n cavil_v against_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o resurrection_n our_o saviour_n strike_v at_o the_o root_n of_o their_o error_n 3._o ult_n we_o look_v for_o the_o saviour_n the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n who_o shall_v change_v our_o vile_a body_n that_o it_o may_v be_v fashion_v like_o unto_o his_o glorious_a body_n according_a to_o the_o work_n whereby_o he_o be_v able_a to_o subdue_v even_o all_o thing_n to_o himself_o here_o that_o the_o mouth_n of_o unbelief_n and_o carnal_a reason_n may_v be_v stop_v he_o tell_v we_o that_o he_o will_v make_v our_o body_n like_v unto_o his_o glorious_a body_n and_o question_v not_o but_o he_o will_v do_v it_o for_o he_o will_v do_v it_o by_o his_o mighty_a power_n by_o which_o he_o be_v able_a to_o subdue_v all_o thing_n to_o himself_o thus_o far_o in_o answer_n to_o the_o first_o sort_n of_o adversary_n the_o objection_n of_o the_o spiritual_a enemy_n or_o rather_o diabolical_a enemy_n though_o they_o pretend_v to_o spirituality_n be_v draw_v from_o scripture_n and_o this_o be_v no_o wonder_n for_o their_o father_n the_o devil_n do_v quote_v scripture_n incorruption_n from_o whence_o they_o conclude_v that_o our_o corruptible_a and_o fleshly_a body_n shall_v not_o be_v raise_v and_o therefore_o that_o there_o be_v no_o such_o resurrection_n to_o be_v expect_v which_o we_o wait_v for_o but_o that_o the_o apostle_n in_o this_o chapter_n and_o all_o other_o place_n speak_v of_o the_o resurrection_n do_v treat_v of_o it_o spiritual_o &_o allegorical_o and_o that_o he_o never_o do_v hold_v forth_o such_o a_o carnal_a and_o gross_a resurrection_n as_o we_o in_o our_o muddy_a brain_n do_v gross_o apprehend_v he_o do_v in_o answer_n to_o which_o objection_n we_o shall_v grant_v that_o the_o apostle_n in_o sundry_a place_n do_v speak_v of_o a_o resurrection_n figurative_o as_o in_o the_o 3._o col._n 1._o if_o you_o be_v rise_v with_o christ_n silly_a those_o thing_n which_o be_v above_o where_o he_o speak_v of_o a_o resurrection_n to_o a_o new_a life_n in_o the_o spirit_n by_o faith_n and_o in_o this_o sense_n we_o grant_v that_o saint_n be_v already_o rise_v there_o be_v no_o happiness_n for_o such_o at_o the_o second_o resurrection_n hereafter_o who_o be_v not_o first_o raise_v here_o and_o make_v partaker_n of_o the_o first_o resurrection_n yet_o this_o do_v not_o weaken_v our_o assertion_n nor_o overthrow_v our_o faith_n and_o therefore_o give_v i_o leave_v to_o put_v in_o a_o answer_n to_o their_o objection_n first_o god_n with_o these_o eye_n and_o no_o other_o we_o shall_v have_v the_o same_o foot_n hand_n and_o member_n etc._n etc._n and_o though_o there_o shall_v be_v no_o sin_n frailty_n weakness_n or_o infirmity_n no_o imperfection_n lameness_n deafness_n or_o blindness_n yet_o the_o same_o numericall_a body_n shall_v be_v raise_v again_o and_o if_o god_n will_v but_o open_v their_o eye_n to_o read_v and_o understand_v what_o be_v speak_v they_o shall_v have_v a_o answer_n from_o the_o pen_n of_o he_o who_o they_o through_o their_o blindness_n do_v misunderstand_v in_o the_o 53._o verse_n with_o some_o unwillingness_n so_o there_o be_v a_o desire_n of_o reunion_n when_o they_o be_v part_v so_o that_o reunion_n will_v be_v a_o cause_n of_o joy_n for_o as_o there_o be_v joy_n at_o the_o meeting_n of_o friend_n so_o the_o body_n and_o soul_n that_o be_v long_o together_o in_o this_o world_n shall_v rejoice_v when_o they_o shall_v meet_v together_o again_o this_o be_v one_o ground_n of_o joy_n from_o their_o meeting_n the_o body_n and_o the_o spirit_n shall_v meet_v together_o there_o shall_v be_v a_o reunion_n after_o there_o have_v be_v a_o disunion_n between_o they_o but_o bound_n and_o limit_n yea_o a_o period_n to_o our_o corruption_n as_o luther_n do_v report_n of_o one_o that_o be_v tempt_v to_o any_o sin_n by_o the_o devil_n will_v answer_v that_o she_o be_v christian_a thy_o body_n be_v christ_n by_o conquest_n he_o have_v dispossess_v the_o devil_n of_o the_o strong_a hold_n which_o he_o have_v in_o thy_o body_n and_o therefore_o suffer_v not_o the_o devil_n to_o rule_v there_o as_o he_o do_v when_o he_o be_v lord_n of_o thou_o if_o the_o devil_n come_v and_o tempt_v thou_o to_o commit_v any_o sin_n which_o be_v a_o sin_n that_o thou_o may_v act_v here_o be_v a_o reason_n lay_v down_o in_o the_o next_o verse_n to_o assure_v we_o of_o our_o resurrection_n thy_o dew_n be_v as_o the_o dew_n of_o herb_n the_o lord_n jesus_n in_o the_o power_n of_o his_o spirit_n shall_v be_v as_o a_o heavenly_a dew_n upon_o the_o dead_a body_n and_o dust_n of_o the_o saint_n to_o raise_v they_o up_o and_o quicken_v they_o to_o a_o new_a life_n christ_n in_o the_o power_n of_o his_o spirit_n may_v be_v compare_v to_o dew_n for_o three_o reason_n first_o because_o as_o the_o dew_n come_v down_o upon_o the_o earth_n the_o earth_n bring_v forth_o grass_n without_o the_o help_n and_o labour_n of_o man_n mich._n 5.7_o so_o without_o the_o labour_n and_o strength_n of_o the_o creature_n the_o lord_n jesus_n the_o dew_n of_o heaven_n come_v down_o upon_o the_o dust_n and_o ash_n of_o the_o saint_n shall_v quicken_v they_o to_o a_o life_n and_o make_v they_o flourish_v after_o they_o have_v lie_v rot_v and_o molder_v in_o the_o grave_n second_o as_o the_o dew_n do_v come_v down_o speedy_o and_o sudden_o upon_o the_o earth_n as_o you_o may_v gather_v from_o that_o expression_n of_o hushaiâ—_n in_o that_o speech_n of_o he_o to_o absalon_n concern_v therefore_o hâ—â—_n compare_v his_o come_n to_o the_o come_n of_o a_o thief_n in_o the_o night_n and_o to_o lightning_n which_o we_o know_v be_v dart_v through_o the_o midst_n of_o heaven_n with_o great_a volubility_n and_o swiftness_n in_o the_o three_o place_n christ_n shall_v be_v as_o dew_n because_o as_o dew_n do_v make_v the_o herb_n on_o which_o it_o fall_v to_o be_v fruitful_a and_o to_o wax_v green_a and_o flourish_n after_o they_o have_v seem_v to_o be_v dead_a so_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n shall_v quicken_v the_o dead_a carcase_n of_o his_o saint_n and_o put_v a_o life_n into_o their_o dust_n thus_o moses_n the_o holy_a servant_n of_o god_n speak_v of_o his_o doctrine_n in_o reference_n to_o the_o flourish_a of_o it_o deut._n 32.2_o say_v that_o his_o doctrine_n shall_v drop_v as_o the_o rain_n and_o his_o speech_n shall_v distil_v as_o the_o dew_n as_o the_o small_a rain_n upon_o the_o tender_a herb_n and_o as_o the_o shower_n upon_o the_o grass_n as_o the_o dew_n of_o heaven_n make_v the_o thing_n upon_o which_o it_o fall_v fruitful_a and_o fertile_a so_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n fall_v down_o upon_o the_o dust_n and_o ash_n upon_o the_o rot_a bone_n putrify_v carcase_n and_o skull_n of_o the_o saint_n shall_v cause_v they_o to_o flourish_v and_o to_o spring_v up_o and_o they_o shall_v have_v a_o new_a life_n put_v into_o they_o by_o his_o come_n down_o upon_o they_o four_o the_o prophet_n say_v that_o the_o â—arth_n shall_v cast_v out_o her_o dead_a from_o whence_o we_o may_v strong_o conclude_v the_o resurrection_n â—f_n the_o same_o in_o his_o person_n we_o see_v that_o we_o be_v conqueror_n over_o the_o devil_n in_o he_o yet_o we_o meet_v with_o the_o devil_n his_o fiery_a temptation_n dart_n and_o arrow_n which_o he_o shoot_v into_o our_o spirit_n so_o that_o he_o ofttimes_o cause_v we_o to_o walk_v something_o sad_o occasion_v trouble_n which_o i_o call_v tempestates_fw-la mentis_fw-la the_o tempest_n of_o the_o mind_n as_o paul_n tell_v we_o that_o he_o be_v buffet_v by_o the_o messenger_n of_o satan_n but_o then_o this_o wicked_a fiend_n shall_v be_v so_o chain_v up_o that_o he_o shall_v never_o be_v let_v loose_a upon_o we_o again_o then_o he_o shall_v be_v so_o under_o our_o foot_n that_o he_o shall_v never_o have_v any_o liberty_n give_v he_o to_o tempt_v we_o any_o more_o the_o accuser_n of_o the_o because_o then_o every_o saint_n shall_v ride_v in_o a_o chariot_n of_o triumph_n as_o a_o conqueror_n of_o all_o enemy_n in_o his_o own_o person_n and_o as_o christ_n in_o his_o own_o body_n and_o spirit_n do_v ride_v to_o heaven_n and_o triumph_v over_o the_o power_n of_o hell_n death_n sin_n curse_n and_o condemnation_n and_o as_o the_o life_n that_o we_o live_v for_o the_o present_a be_v by_o behold_v this_o victory_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n with_o the_o eye_n of_o faith_n so_o at_o the_o general_a resurrection_n all_o the_o saint_n shall_v imitate_v the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n and_o in_o their_o own_o person_n shall_v ride_v as_o conqueror_n triumph_v over_o all_o enemy_n and_o shall_v live_v the_o life_n of_o vision_n see_v the_o same_o thing_n do_v in_o their_o own_o person_n which_o now_o by_o faith_n they_o see_v do_v for_o they_o in_o the_o person_n of_o jesus_n so_o that_o all_o cause_n and_o occasion_n of_o trouble_n and_o sorrow_n be_v take_v away_o there_o must_v needs_o be_v great_a joy_n at_o the_o resurrection_n of_o those_o who_o be_v raise_v by_o the_o lord_n in_o the_o next_o place_n as_o the_o occasion_n and_o cause_n of_o all_o sorrow_n nor_o ear_n have_v hear_v nor_o have_v it_o enter_v into_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n to_o conceive_v what_o they_o be_v we_o dark_o see_v here_o and_o shall_v full_o enjoy_v hereafter_o the_o poet_n happy_a the_o confluence_n of_o all_o good_a thing_n that_o can_v bring_v any_o bliss_n tranquillity_n and_o joy_n to_o the_o spirit_n and_o soul_n of_o man_n so_o that_o it_o be_v evident_a there_o will_v be_v great_a joy_n if_o we_o consider_v that_o there_o will_v be_v every_o thing_n want_v that_o may_v make_v we_o sorrowful_a and_o every_o thing_n present_a that_o may_v make_v we_o joyful_a there_o will_v be_v the_o absence_n of_o all_o evil_a and_o the_o presence_n of_o all_o good_a there_o will_v be_v god_n himself_o who_o be_v the_o summum_fw-la bonum_fw-la the_o chief_a good_a and_o this_o god_n will_v unveil_v himself_o and_o show_v forth_o his_o love_n and_o shine_v forth_o in_o his_o glory_n beauty_n and_o excellency_n on_o the_o spirit_n of_o his_o people_n and_o see_v themselves_o in_o this_o happy_a and_o blissful_a condition_n they_o can_v but_o sing_v and_o rejoice_v at_o the_o resurrection_n here_o the_o saint_n in_o believe_v do_v rejoice_v with_o joy_n
