to_o the_o creator_n god_n bless_v for_o ever_o yet_o he_o do_v not_o can_v join_v with_o we_o in_o our_o intercession_n to_o any_o creature_n and_o therefore_o since_o the_o church_n require_v our_o communion_n only_o by_o authority_n from_o christ_n it_o be_v evident_a that_o no_o church_n can_v just_o require_v our_o communion_n in_o this_o or_o any_o other_o practice_n wherein_o itself_o do_v make_v christ_n present_a with_o the_o soul_n by_o the_o communion_n of_o his_o grace_n and_o will_v hereafter_o make_v the_o soul_n present_a with_o christ_n in_o the_o communion_n of_o his_o glory_n oh_o for_o such_o a_o faith_n to_o bring_v my_o saviour_n into_o my_o soul_n and_o to_o keep_v he_o there_o till_o faith_n itself_o be_v no_o long_o faith_n but_o be_v turn_v into_o vision_n a_o faith_n that_o engage_v the_o whole_a man_n in_o all_o his_o power_n and_o faculty_n both_o of_o soul_n and_o body_n for_o only_o such_o a_o faith_n as_o take_v up_o the_o whole_a man_n in_o his_o understanding_n will_n affection_n action_n can_v take_v a_o right_a and_o lay_v a_o fast_o hold_v on_o christ_n such_o a_o faith_n though_o it_o can_v miraculous_o now_o open_a the_o heaven_n as_o it_o do_v once_o to_o saint_n stephen_n yet_o it_o can_v and_o will_v pierce_v the_o heaven_n and_o there_o see_v the_o son_n of_o man_n stand_v on_o the_o right_a hand_n of_o god_n ready_a to_o defend_v we_o on_o earth_n and_o as_o ready_a to_o receive_v we_o into_o heaven_n whence_o we_o may_v very_o well_o conclude_v that_o this_o communion_n of_o good_a christian_n with_o christ_n or_o of_o the_o body_n with_o the_o head_n though_o at_o so_o great_a a_o distance_n be_v in_o the_o thing_n itself_o most_o real_a and_o substantial_a though_o in_o the_o manner_n it_o be_v only_o spiritual_a and_o mystical_a christ_n and_o his_o church_n nay_o every_o true_a member_n of_o his_o church_n be_v as_o substantial_o unite_v together_o as_o man_n and_o wife_n husband_n love_v your_o wife_n as_o christ_n love_v the_o church_n ephes_n 5._o 25._o that_o be_v to_o say_v his_o wife_n and_o therefore_o as_o no_o distance_n can_v keep_v the_o man_n and_o his_o wife_n from_o be_v one_o flesh_n so_o neither_o christ_n and_o his_o church_n from_o be_v one_o spirit_n he_o that_o be_v join_v to_o the_o lord_n be_v one_o spirit_n 1_o cor._n 6._o 17._o and_o to_o put_v we_o out_o of_o doubt_n that_o we_o whilst_o we_o live_v here_o on_o earth_n if_o we_o live_v unto_o he_o be_v thus_o join_v unto_o he_o saint_n john_n say_v plain_o hereby_o we_o know_v that_o he_o abide_v in_o we_o by_o the_o spirit_n which_o he_o have_v give_v we_o 1_o john_n 3._o 24._o there_o can_v be_v a_o more_o substantial_a union_n than_o be_v of_o the_o soul_n with_o the_o body_n because_o the_o soul_n abide_v in_o the_o body_n and_o the_o same_o union_n be_v of_o christ_n with_o the_o soul_n because_o he_o abide_v in_o the_o soul_n and_o as_o we_o know_v the_o soul_n abide_v in_o the_o body_n by_o the_o spirit_n or_o breath_n which_o it_o give_v to_o the_o body_n so_o we_o know_v that_o christ_n abide_v in_o the_o soul_n by_o the_o spirit_n which_o he_o give_v to_o the_o soul_n yet_o be_v this_o union_n of_o christ_n with_o his_o body_n not_o carnal_a but_o spiritual_a not_o to_o be_v discern_v by_o the_o strength_n of_o the_o outer_a but_o of_o the_o inner_a man_n such_o a_o union_n as_o saint_n paul_n describe_v to_o all_o but_o wish_v only_o to_o good_a christian_n for_o though_o he_o may_v wish_v the_o son_n of_o righteousness_n to_o shine_v upon_o a_o dunghill_n yet_o he_o may_v not_o wish_v he_o to_o be_v join_v to_o it_o that_o god_n will_v grant_v you_o to_o be_v strengthen_v with_o might_n by_o his_o spirit_n in_o the_o inner_a man_n that_o christ_n may_v dwell_v in_o your_o heart_n by_o faith_n ephes_n 3._o 16_o 17_o here_o be_v a_o most_o real_a and_o substantial_a union_n and_o communion_n betwixt_o christ_n and_o good_a christian_n for_o the_o spirit_n strengthen_v they_o and_o christ_n dwell_v in_o they_o but_o it_o be_v only_o spiritual_a for_o the_o spirit_n strengthen_v their_o inner_a man_n and_o mystical_a for_o christ_n dwell_v
