traffiicke_n upon_o the_o sea_n trade_v some_o go_v for_o one_o thing_n and_o some_o for_o another_o some_o go_v to_o one_o place_n and_o some_o to_o another_o and_o yet_o all_o tend_v to_o the_o good_a of_o the_o country_n so_o it_o be_v in_o the_o prayer_n of_o the_o saint_n some_o pray_v for_o one_o thing_n some_o for_o another_o some_o for_o grace_n some_o for_o remission_n of_o sin_n some_o for_o peace_n of_o conscience_n some_o for_o temporal_a blessing_n and_o yet_o all_o in_o the_o end_n for_o the_o good_a of_o the_o church_n i_o shall_v now_o come_v to_o speak_v of_o the_o duty_n of_o they_o that_o pray_v but_o first_o i_o must_v a_o little_a enlarge_v myself_o in_o the_o former_a of_o faith_n and_o love_n which_o shall_v have_v be_v touch_v before_o i'faith_o be_v a_o main_a pillar_n and_o foundation_n whereupon_o faith_n this_o build_n of_o prayer_n consist_v yea_o such_o a_o one_o as_o i_o may_v true_o affirm_v sine_fw-la qua_fw-la non_fw-la ere_o i_o go_v i_o suppose_v doubt_v of_o the_o power_n of_o god_n christ_n first_o resolve_v and_o settle_v we_o in_o that_o point_n and_o show_v that_o god_n be_v our_o father_n and_o because_o he_o be_v our_o father_n we_o shall_v be_v sure_a to_o find_v a_o most_o fatherly_a affection_n in_o he_o that_o no_o father_n shall_v be_v so_o ready_a to_o hear_v the_o request_n of_o his_o child_n as_o the_o lord_n will_v be_v to_o hear_v we_o in_o all_o thing_n we_o pray_v for_o so_o that_o this_o be_v one_o ground_n of_o our_o faith_n not_o to_o think_v we_o come_v unto_o god_n as_o unto_o a_o strange_a that_o do_v not_o respect_n or_o regard_v we_o in_o our_o need_n but_o we_o come_v to_o he_o as_o to_o a_o father_n and_o one_o that_o do_v love_v we_o tender_v we_o and_o will_v be_v as_o ready_a to_o relieve_v we_o as_o the_o dear_a friend_n we_o have_v in_o this_o world_n so_o david_n say_v psal_n 103._o 13._o as_o a_o father_n pity_v his_o 13._o child_n etc._n etc._n and_o malach._n 3._o 17._o i_o will_v spare_v they_o as_o a_o 17._o man_n spare_v his_o own_o son_n that_o serve_v he_o the_o prodigal_a son_n when_o he_o have_v slip_v away_o from_o his_o father_n and_o naughty_o spend_v all_o he_o have_v he_o have_v no_o hope_n to_o return_v with_o any_o comfort_n but_o this_o ibo_fw-la ad_fw-la patrem_fw-la etc._n etc._n i_o will_v go_v to_o my_o father_n etc._n etc._n howsoever_o unto_o we_o in_o food_n and_o raiment_n the_o thing_n of_o this_o life_n we_o may_v learn_v to_o rest_n and_o rely_v upon_o he_o for_o a_o better_a life_n to_o come_v for_o it_o be_v a_o sure_a thing_n that_o he_o who_o will_v not_o trust_v unto_o god_n for_o meat_n and_o drink_n and_o such_o like_a will_v not_o trust_v he_o for_o the_o salvation_n of_o his_o soul_n and_o he_o that_o think_v that_o god_n will_v stand_v with_o he_o for_o a_o piece_n of_o bread_n will_v never_o believe_v that_o god_n will_v give_v he_o pardon_v of_o his_o sin_n and_o heavenly_a glory_n christ_n therefore_o will_v have_v we_o begin_v at_o the_o small_a that_o find_v the_o lord_n favourable_a and_o friendly_a in_o these_o lesser_a thing_n we_o may_v be_v draw_v to_o conceive_v that_o he_o will_v be_v as_o corruption_n and_o so_o have_v deal_v partial_o and_o unsound_o in_o their_o repentance_n they_o find_v it_o a_o matter_n of_o great_a difficulty_n to_o have_v the_o heart_n perfect_o sound_a this_o be_v the_o first_o part_n of_o the_o answer_n object_n yea_o but_o if_o a_o man_n have_v sound_o repent_v he_o of_o his_o sin_n whether_o be_v it_o possible_a for_o that_o man_n to_o fall_v again_o answ._n to_o this_o i_o answer_v there_o be_v a_o general_n and_o there_o be_v a_o particular_a repentance_n general_n repentance_n be_v at_o a_o man_n first_o conversion_n than_o he_o repent_v of_o
