the_o next_o world._n for_o 1._o it_o be_v congruous_a to_o the_o divine_a wisdom_n and_o goodness_n that_o the_o best_a thing_n shall_v be_v the_o most_o last_a wisdom_n dictate_v this_o for_o it_o be_v no_o more_o than_o to_o give_v the_o preference_n to_o those_o thing_n which_o be_v best_a the_o long_a continuance_n give_v a_o natural_a preference_n to_o thing_n we_o always_o value_v those_o thing_n most_o which_o we_o shall_v enjoy_v long_a and_o therefore_o to_o give_v the_o long_a duration_n to_o the_o worst_a thing_n be_v to_o set_v the_o great_a value_n on_o they_o and_o to_o teach_v next_o the_o last_o state_n shall_v be_v the_o most_o perfect_a and_o happy_a i_o speak_v now_o of_o such_o creature_n as_o god_n design_n for_o happiness_n for_o the_o reason_n alter_v where_o he_o intend_v to_o punish_v but_o where_o god_n intend_v to_o do_v good_a to_o creature_n it_o seem_v a_o very_a improper_a method_n to_o translate_v they_o from_o a_o more_o perfect_a and_o happy_a to_o can_v not_o be_v so_o fond_a of_o this_o world_n if_o they_o be_v and_o the_o reason_n of_o it_o be_v plain_a because_o happiness_n can_v be_v so_o well_o know_v as_o by_o feeling_n now_o man_n feel_v the_o pleasure_n and_o happiness_n of_o this_o world_n but_o do_v not_o feel_v the_o happiness_n of_o the_o next_o and_o therefore_o be_v apt_a to_o think_v that_o that_o be_v the_o great_a
the_o order_n of_o nature_n to_o fall_v in_o love_n with_o our_o slave_n and_o change_v fortune_n and_o shackle_n with_o they_o that_o our_o saviour_n may_v well_o say_v he_o that_o commit_v sin_n be_v the_o servant_n of_o sin_n for_o this_o be_v a_o vile_a and_o unnatural_a subjection_n to_o serve_v the_o body_n which_o be_v make_v to_o serve_v the_o soul_n such_o man_n shall_v receive_v the_o and_o can_v look_v only_o through_o these_o material_a casement_n nothing_o but_o what_o be_v material_a can_v affect_v we_o nay_o nothing_o but_o what_o be_v so_o gross_a that_o it_o can_v reflect_v light_a and_o convey_v the_o shape_n and_o colour_n of_o thing_n with_o it_o to_o the_o eye_n so_o that_o though_o within_o this_o visible_a world_n there_o be_v a_o more_o glorious_a scene_n of_o thing_n than_o what_o appear_v to_o we_o we_o perceive_v nothing_o at_o all_o of_o it_o for_o this_o vail_n of_o flesh_n part_v the_o visible_a and_o invisible_a world_n but_o when_o we_o put_v off_o these_o body_n there_o be_v new_a and_o surprise_v wonder_n present_v themselves_o to_o our_o view_n when_o these_o material_a spectacle_n be_v take_v off_o our_o soul_n with_o its_o own_o naked_a eye_n sees_z what_o be_v invisible_a before_o and_o then_o we_o be_v in_o the_o other_o world_n when_o we_o can_v see_v it_o and_o converse_v with_o it_o thus_o st._n paul_n tell_v we_o that_o when_o we_o be_v at_o home_n in_o the_o body_n we_o be_v absent_a from_o the_o lord_n but_o when_o we_o be_v absent_a from_o the_o body_n we_o be_v present_a with_o the_o lord_n 2_o cor._n 5._o 6_o 8._o and_o methinks_v this_o be_v enough_o to_o cure_v we_o of_o our_o fondness_n for_o these_o body_n unless_o we_o think_v it_o more_o desirable_a to_o be_v confine_v to_o a_o prison_n and_o to_o look_v through_o a_o grate_n all_o our_o life_n which_o give_v we_o but_o a_o very_a narrow_a prospect_n and_o that_o none_o of_o the_o best_a neither_o then_o to_o be_v set_v at_o liberty_n to_o view_v all_o the_o glory_n of_o the_o world._n what_o will_v we_o give_v now_o for_o the_o least_o glimpse_n of_o that_o invisible_a world_n which_o the_o first_o step_n we_o take_v out_o of_o these_o body_n will_v present_v we_o with_o there_o be_v such_o thing_n as_o eye_n have_v not_o see_v nor_o ear_n hear_v neither_o have_v it_o enter_v into_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n to_o conceive_v death_n open_v we_o eye_n enlarge_v our_o prospect_n present_v we_o with_o a_o new_a and_o more_o glorious_a world_n which_o we_o can_v never_o see_v while_o we_o be_v shut_v up_o in_o flesh_n which_o shall_v make_v we_o as_o willing_a to_o part_v with_o this_o veil_n as_o to_o take_v the_o film_n off_o of_o our_o eye_n which_o hinder_v our_o sight_n iv._o if_o we_o must_v put_v off_o these_o body_n methinks_v be_v our_o business_n which_o we_o must_v short_o part_v with_o and_o yet_o as_o for_o pride_n these_o mortal_a corruptible_a body_n and_o what_o relate_v to_o they_o administer_v most_o of_o the_o occasion_n of_o it_o some_o man_n glory_v in_o their_o birth_n and_o in_o their_o descent_n from_o noble_a ancestor_n and_o ancient_a family_n which_o beside_o the_o vanity_n of_o it_o for_o if_o we_o trace_v our_o pedigree_n to_o their_o original_a it_o be_v certain_a that_o all_o our_o family_n be_v equal_o ancient_a and_o equal_o noble_a for_o we_o descend_v all_o from_o adam_n and_o in_o such_o a_o long_a descent_n as_o this_o no_o man_n can_v tell_v whether_o there_o have_v not_o be_v beggar_n and_o prince_n in_o those_o which_o be_v the_o noble_a and_o mean_a family_n now_o yet_o i_o say_v what_o be_v all_o this_o but_o to_o pride_n ourselves_o in_o our_o body_n and_o our_o bodily_a descent_n unless_o man_n think_v that_o their_o soul_n be_v derive_v from_o their_o parent_n too_o indeed_o our_o birth_n be_v so_o very_o ignoble_a whatever_o our_o ancestor_n be_v or_o however_o it_o may_v be_v dissemble_v with_o some_o pompous_a circumstance_n that_o no_o man_n have_v any_o reason_n to_o glory_n in_o it_o for_o the_o great_a prince_n be_v bear_v like_o the_o wild_a ass_n colt._n other_o glory_v in_o their_o external_a beauty_n which_o how_o great_a and_o charm_a soever_o it_o be_v be_v but_o the_o beauty_n of_o the_o body_n which_o if_o it_o be_v spare_v by_o sickness_n and_o old_a age_n must_v perish_v in_o the_o grave_a death_n will_v spoil_v those_o feature_n and_o colour_n which_o be_v now_o admire_v and_o after_o a_o short_a time_n there_o will_v be_v no_o distinction_n between_o this_o beautiful_a body_n and_o common_a dust._n other_o be_v guilty_a of_o great_a vanity_n than_o this_o and_o what_o nature_n have_v deny_v they_o supply_v by_o art_n they_o adorn_v their_o body_n with_o rich_a attire_n and_o many_o time_n such_o body_n as_o will_v not_o be_v adorn_v and_o then_o they_o glory_v in_o their_o borrow_a feather_n but_o what_o a_o sorry_a beauty_n be_v that_o which_o they_o can_v carry_v into_o the_o other_o world_n and_o if_o they_o must_v leave_v their_o body_n in_o the_o grave_a i_o think_v there_o will_v be_v no_o great_a occasion_n in_o the_o other_o world_n for_o their_o rich_a and_o splendid_a apparel_n which_o will_v not_o fit_v a_o soul._n thus_o what_o do_v riches_n signify_v but_o to_o minister_v to_o the_o want_n and_o convenience_n and_o pleasure_n of_o the_o body_n and_o therefore_o to_o pride_n ourselves_o in_o riches_n be_v to_o glory_n in_o the_o body_n too_o to_o think_v ourselves_o more_o considerable_a than_o other_o man_n because_o we_o can_v provide_v better_o for_o our_o body_n than_o they_o can_v and_o what_o a_o mean_a and_o contemptible_a vice_n be_v pride_n who_o subject_n and_o occasion_n be_v so_o mean_a and_o contemptible_a to_o pride_n ourselves_o in_o these_o body_n which_o have_v so_o ignoble_a a_o extraction_n be_v of_o so_o short_a a_o continuance_n and_o will_v have_v so_o ignoble_a a_o end_n must_v lie_v down_o in_o the_o grave_a and_o be_v food_n for_o worm_n as_o for_o the_o care_n of_o our_o body_n that_o must_v unavoidable_o take_v up_o great_a part_n of_o our_o time_n to_o supply_v the_o necessity_n of_o nature_n and_o to_o provide_v the_o convenience_n of_o life_n but_o this_o may_v be_v for_o the_o good_a of_o our_o soul_n too_o as_o honest_a labour_n and_o industry_n and_o ingenious_a art_n be_v but_o for_o man_n to_o spend_v their_o whole_a time_n in_o sloth_n and_o luxury_n in_o eat_v and_o drink_v and_o sleep_v in_o dress_n and_o adorn_v their_o body_n or_o gratify_v their_o lust_n this_o be_v to_o be_v vile_a slave_n and_o servant_n to_o the_o body_n to_o body_n which_o neither_o need_n nor_o deserve_v this_o from_o we_o after_o all_o our_o care_n they_o will_v tumble_v into_o dust_n and_o common_o much_o the_o soon_o for_o our_o indulgence_n of_o they_o v._o if_o death_n be_v our_o put_v off_o these_o body_n than_o it_o be_v certain_a that_o we_o must_v live_v without_o these_o body_n till_o the_o resurrection_n nay_o that_o divine_a soul_n which_o aspire_v after_o immortality_n to_o raise_v itself_o above_o the_o body_n to_o conquer_v this_o present_a world_n by_o the_o belief_n and_o hope_n of_o unseen_a thing_n to_o and_o alliance_n to_o matter_n or_o that_o its_o great_a pleasure_n shall_v be_v owe_v to_o external_a impression_n not_o to_o the_o act_n of_o its_o own_o natural_a faculty_n and_o power_n which_o may_v convince_v we_o as_o i_o observe_v before_o that_o the_o pleasure_n of_o the_o mind_n be_v much_o the_o great_a and_o noble_a pleasure_n of_o the_o man_n and_o he_o who_o will_v be_v true_o happy_a must_v seek_v for_o it_o not_o in_o bodily_a entertainment_n but_o in_o the_o improvement_n and_o exercise_n of_o reason_n and_o religion_n 3_o hence_o we_o learn_v also_o that_o the_o body_n be_v make_v for_o the_o soul_n not_o the_o soul_n for_o the_o body_n as_o that_o which_o in_o itself_o have_v no_o life_n and_o sense_n be_v make_v for_o the_o use_n of_o that_o which_o have_v the_o body_n be_v only_o a_o convenient_a habitation_n for_o the_o soul_n in_o this_o world_n a_o instrument_n of_o action_n and_o a_o trial_n and_o exercise_n of_o virtue_n but_o the_o soul_n be_v to_o use_v the_o body_n and_o to_o govern_v it_o to_o taste_v its_o pleasure_n and_o to_o set_v bound_n to_o they_o to_o make_v the_o body_n serviceable_a to_o the_o end_n and_o purpose_n of_o reason_n and_o if_o he_o can_v trust_v god_n with_o his_o dear_a interest_n sure_o he_o will_v trust_v he_o in_o less_o matter_n the_o promise_n of_o eternal_a life_n through_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n be_v the_o high_a demonstration_n of_o god_n love_n to_o we_o and_o he_o who_o be_v so_o well_o assure_v of_o god_n love_n that_o he_o can_v trust_v he_o for_o heaven_n can_v never_o distrust_v his_o unknown_a and_o if_o we_o can_v cheerful_o follow_v god_n into_o a_o unseen_a and_o unknown_a world_n can_v we_o be_v content_v to_o follow_v he_o through_o the_o most_o dark_a and_o perplex_a track_n of_o providence_n here_o so_o that_o we_o have_v as_o little_a reason_n to_o complain_v that_o the_o state_n of_o the_o other_o world_n be_v unknown_a to_o we_o as_o we_o have_v that_o we_o must_v live_v by_o faith_n in_o this_o world_n for_o absent_a unseen_a and_o unknown_a thing_n be_v the_o object_n of_o our_o faith_n and_o those_o who_o will_v trust_v god_n no_o far_o than_o they_o can_v see_v neither_o in_o this_o world_n nor_o in_o the_o next_o have_v no_o reason_n to_o depend_v upon_o his_o providence_n here_o nor_o to_o expect_v heaven_n hereafter_o 2_o the_o state_n of_o the_o other_o world_n be_v so_o much_o unknown_a to_o we_o be_v a_o very_a good_a reason_n why_o we_o shall_v cheerful_o comply_v with_o all_o the_o term_n and_o condition_n of_o the_o gospel_n to_o do_v plain_a for_o since_o the_o state_n of_o the_o other_o world_n be_v so_o much_o unknown_a to_o we_o we_o do_v not_o and_o can_v know_v neither_o what_o disposition_n and_o habit_n and_o complexion_n of_o soul_n be_v necessary_a to_o fit_v and_o qualify_v we_o for_o this_o unknown_a happiness_n but_o our_o saviour_n who_o know_v what_o that_o state_n be_v know_v also_o what_o be_v necessary_a to_o that_o state_n and_o therefore_o the_o wise_a course_n we_o can_v take_v be_v to_o obey_v all_o his_o law_n without_o any_o dispute_n not_o only_o as_o the_o condition_n of_o happiness_n without_o which_o we_o shall_v not_o be_v admit_v into_o heaven_n but_o as_o the_o necessary_a preparation_n for_o it_o as_o to_o explain_v this_o by_o a_o parallel_n case_n which_o you_o will_v easy_o understand_v suppose_v we_o have_v pre-existed_n in_o a_o former_a state_n as_o some_o say_v we_o do_v before_o we_o come_v into_o these_o body_n and_o before_o we_o know_v any_o thing_n of_o this_o world_n or_o what_o the_o pleasure_n and_o entertainment_n of_o it_o be_v shall_v have_v be_v tell_v what_o kind_n of_o body_n we_o must_v go_v into_o no_o doubt_n but_o there_o will_v have_v be_v wonderful_a wise_a dispute_n about_o the_o make_n and_o frame_v of_o our_o body_n we_o shall_v have_v think_v some_o part_n superfluous_a or_o useless_a or_o ill_o contrive_v indeed_o shall_v have_v wonder_v what_o such_o a_o body_n be_v make_v for_o as_o well_o we_o may_v before_o we_o understand_v the_o use_n of_o any_o part_n of_o it_o but_o god_n who_o know_v what_o he_o intend_v we_o for_o provide_v such_o a_o body_n for_o we_o as_o be_v both_o beautiful_a and_o useful_a and_o we_o can_v want_v any_o part_n of_o it_o but_o we_o be_v deprive_v of_o some_o convenience_n and_o pleasure_n of_o life_n and_o thus_o we_o may_v easy_o suppose_v it_o to_o be_v with_o reference_n to_o the_o next_o world_n that_o the_o habit_n and_o temper_n of_o our_o mind_n be_v as_o necessary_a to_o relish_v the_o pleasure_n of_o that_o state_n as_o our_o bodily_a sense_n be_v to_o taste_v bodily_a pleasure_n and_o since_o we_o do_v not_o particular_o know_v what_o the_o delight_n of_o that_o state_n be_v and_o christ_n do_v we_o ought_v as_o perfect_o to_o resign_v up_o ourselves_o to_o his_o direction_n for_o the_o fashion_v our_o mind_n as_o we_o trust_v god_n to_o form_v our_o body_n for_o we_o whatever_o grace_n and_o virtue_n he_o require_v we_o to_o exercise_v in_o this_o world_n though_o we_o do_v not_o see_v the_o present_a use_n of_o they_o though_o we_o may_v think_v they_o a_o unnecessary_a restraint_n of_o our_o liberty_n and_o very_o needless_a and_o unreasonable_a severity_n yet_o we_o ought_v to_o conclude_v that_o christ_n know_v the_o reason_n of_o such_o command_n and_o that_o such_o quality_n and_o disposition_n of_o mind_n will_v be_v find_v as_o necessary_a in_o the_o next_o world_n as_o our_o bodily_a sense_n be_v here_o and_o this_o we_o ought_v especial_o to_o conclude_v of_o such_o degree_n and_o instance_n of_o virtue_n as_o seem_v above_o our_o present_a state_n and_o not_o so_o well_o fit_v to_o our_o condition_n of_o life_n in_o this_o world_n for_o why_o shall_v our_o saviour_n give_v we_o such_o law_n and_o exact_v such_o a_o degree_n of_o virtue_n from_o we_o here_o as_o abridge_n our_o present_a enjoyment_n and_o it_o may_v be_v expose_v we_o to_o great_a inconvenience_n and_o suffering_n be_v not_o that_o temper_n of_o mind_n which_o these_o virtue_n form_n in_o we_o of_o great_a use_n and_o necessity_n in_o the_o next_o life_n as_o for_o instance_n we_o shall_v think_v it_o sufficient_a while_o we_o live_v in_o this_o world_n where_o there_o be_v so_o many_o invite_a object_n and_o while_o we_o be_v clothe_v with_o body_n of_o flesh_n which_o be_v make_v for_o the_o enjoyment_n of_o sense_n and_o have_v natural_a appetite_n and_o inclination_n to_o they_o so_o to_o govern_v ourselves_o in_o the_o use_n of_o these_o pleasure_n as_o neither_o to_o make_v ourselves_o beast_n nor_o to_o injure_v our_o neighbour_n and_o while_o we_o keep_v within_o these_o bound_n to_o gratify_v our_o appetite_n and_o inclination_n to_o the_o full_a for_o it_o be_v certain_o the_o happiness_n of_o a_o earthly_a creature_n to_o enjoy_v this_o world_n though_o a_o reasonable_a creature_n must_v do_v it_o reasonable_o but_o not_o to_o love_v this_o world_n seem_v a_o hard_a command_n to_o a_o creature_n who_o live_v in_o it_o and_o be_v make_v to_o enjoy_v it_o to_o despise_v bodily_a pleasure_n to_o subdue_v the_o fleshly_a principle_n in_o we_o not_o only_o to_o reason_n but_o to_o the_o spirit_n to_o live_v above_o the_o body_n and_o to_o strive_v to_o stifle_v not_o only_o its_o irregular_a but_o even_o its_o natural_a appetite_n and_o to_o taste_v the_o pleasure_n of_o it_o very_o spare_o and_o with_o great_a indifference_n of_o mind_n seem_v a_o very_a hard_a say_n to_o flesh_n and_o blood_n we_o shall_v think_v it_o time_n enough_o to_o have_v our_o conversation_n in_o heaven_n when_o we_o come_v thither_o but_o it_o be_v plain_o above_o the_o state_n of_o a_o earthly_a creature_n to_o live_v in_o heaven_n to_o have_v all_o our_o joy_n our_o hope_n our_o treasure_n and_o our_o heart_n there_o the_o state_n of_o this_o world_n will_v be_v very_o happy_a and_o prosperous_a without_o such_o a_o raise_a and_o refine_a and_o spiritualised_a mind_n and_o therefore_o these_o be_v such_o virtue_n as_o be_v not_o necessary_a to_o the_o present_a constitution_n of_o this_o world_n and_o therefore_o can_v be_v only_o in_o order_n to_o the_o next_o thus_o it_o be_v sufficient_a to_o the_o happiness_n and_o good_a government_n of_o this_o world_n that_o man_n do_v no_o injury_n to_o each_o other_o and_o that_o they_o express_v mutual_a civility_n and_o respect_n that_o they_o take_v care_n of_o those_o who_o nature_n have_v endear_v to_o they_o and_o that_o they_o be_v just_a and_o in_o ordinary_a case_n helpful_a to_o other_o and_o therefore_o this_o be_v all_o that_o the_o state_n of_o this_o world_n require_v but_o that_o divine_a and_o universal_a charity_n which_o teach_v we_o to_o love_v all_o man_n as_o ourselves_o even_o our_o enemy_n and_o those_o who_o hate_n and_o persecute_v we_o to_o forgive_v the_o injury_n we_o suffer_v and_o not_o to_o revenge_v and_o retaliate_v they_o not_o to_o render_v evil_a for_o evil_n nor_o rail_v for_o rail_v but_o contrariwise_o blessing_n i_o say_v this_o wonderful_a virtue_n do_v not_o only_o lie_v extreme_o for_o we_o can_v imagine_v any_o other_o reason_n why_o our_o saviour_n shall_v make_v any_o act_n of_o virtue_n which_o the_o state_n of_o this_o world_n do_v not_o require_v the_o present_a exercise_n of_o the_o necessary_a term_n and_o condition_n of_o our_o future_a happiness_n but_o only_o that_o such_o disposition_n of_o mind_n be_v as_o necessary_a to_o qualify_v we_o to_o relish_v those_o divine_a pleasure_n as_o our_o bodily_a sense_n be_v to_o perceive_v the_o delight_n and_o pleasure_n of_o this_o world._n this_o be_v a_o mighty_a obligation_n on_o we_o to_o obey_v the_o because_o we_o know_v so_o little_a of_o the_o next_o world_n but_o we_o may_v safe_o conclude_v that_o christ_n know_v a_o reason_n for_o it_o and_o that_o we_o shall_v quick_o understand_v the_o reason_n of_o it_o when_o we_o come_v into_o the_o other_o world_n and_o therefore_o we_o shall_v endeavour_v to_o exercise_v all_o those_o height_n of_o virtue_n which_o the_o gospel_n recommend_v to_o we_o for_o as_o much_o as_o we_o fall_v short_a of_o these_o so_o will_v our_o glory_n and_o happiness_n abate_v in_o the_o other_o world._n 3_o though_o the_o state_n we_o enter_v on_o at_o to_o go_v and_o take_v possession_n of_o a_o kingdom_n because_o he_o have_v never_o yet_o see_v it_o though_o he_o have_v hear_v very_o glorious_a thing_n of_o it_o from_o very_o faithful_a and_o credible_a witness_n for_o let_v we_o a_o little_a consider_v in_o what_o sense_n the_o happiness_n of_o the_o other_o world_n be_v unknown_a 1._o that_o it_o be_v not_o such_o a_o kind_n of_o happiness_n as_o be_v in_o this_o world_n that_o it_o be_v like_o nothing_o which_o we_o have_v see_v or_o taste_v yet_o but_o a_o wise_a and_o good_a man_n can_v think_v this_o any_o disparagement_n to_o the_o other_o world_n though_o it_o will_v have_v be_v a_o real_a disparagement_n to_o it_o have_v it_o be_v like_o this_o world_n for_o here_o be_v nothing_o but_o vanity_n and_o vexation_n of_o spirit_n nothing_o but_o a_o empty_a scene_n which_o make_v a_o fine_a show_n but_o have_v no_o real_a and_o solid_a joy_n good_a man_n have_v enough_o of_o this_o world_n and_o be_v sufficient_o satisfy_v that_o none_o of_o these_o thing_n can_v make_v they_o happy_a and_o therefore_o can_v think_v it_o any_o disadvantage_n to_o change_v the_o scene_n and_o try_v some_o unknown_a and_o unexperienced_a joy_n for_o if_o there_o be_v such_o a_o thing_n as_o happiness_n to_o be_v find_v it_o must_v be_v something_o which_o they_o have_v not_o know_v yet_o something_o that_o this_o feel_v it_o our_o dull_a devotion_n our_o imperfect_a conception_n of_o god_n in_o this_o world_n can_v help_v we_o to_o guess_v what_o the_o joy_n of_o heaven_n be_v we_o know_v not_o how_o the_o affection_n perfect_a soul_n shall_v embrace_v what_o glory_n and_o wonder_n we_o shall_v there_o see_v and_o know_v such_o thing_n as_o neither_o eye_n have_v see_v nor_o ear_n hear_v neither_o have_v it_o enter_v into_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n to_o conceive_v now_o methinks_v this_o shall_v not_o make_v the_o thought_n of_o death_n uneasy_a to_o we_o shall_v not_o make_v we_o unwilling_a to_o go_v to_o heaven_n that_o the_o happiness_n of_o heaven_n be_v too_o great_a for_o we_o to_o know_v or_o to_o conceive_v in_o this_o world_n for_o 3._o man_n be_v natural_o fond_a of_o unknown_a of_o the_o other_o world_n shall_v not_o be_v the_o only_a thing_n we_o despise_v before_o we_o try_v it_o all_o present_a thing_n be_v mean_a and_o appear_v to_o be_v so_o when_o they_o be_v enjoy_v but_o what_o ever_o expectation_n we_o have_v of_o the_o unknown_a happiness_n of_o the_o other_o world_n the_o enjoyment_n of_o they_o will_n as_o much_o exceed_v our_o big_a expectation_n as_o other_o thing_n usual_o fall_v below_o they_o that_o we_o shall_v be_v force_v to_o confess_v with_o the_o queen_n of_o sheba_n when_o she_o see_v solomon_n glory_n that_o not_o the_o half_a of_o it_o be_v tell_v she_o it_o be_v some_o encouragement_n to_o we_o that_o the_o happiness_n of_o heaven_n be_v too_o big_a to_o be_v know_v in_o this_o world_n for_o do_v we_o perfect_o know_v it_o now_o it_o can_v not_o be_v very_o great_a and_o therefore_o we_o shall_v entertain_v ourselves_o with_o the_o hope_n of_o this_o

can_v they_o tell_v though_o they_o can_v bear_v up_o under_o all_o know_a misery_n but_o that_o there_o may_v be_v such_o punishment_n as_o they_o can_v bear_v that_o they_o be_v unknown_a argue_v that_o they_o be_v something_o more_o terrible_a than_o they_o be_v acquaint_v with_o in_o this_o world_n they_o be_v represent_v indeed_o by_o the_o most_o dreadful_a and_o terrible_a thing_n by_o labour_n and_o to_o get_v a_o little_a rest_n from_o business_n to_o dissolve_v in_o sloth_n and_o idleness_n or_o to_o wander_v about_o to_o seek_v a_o companion_n or_o to_o hear_v news_n or_o to_o talk_v politic_n or_o to_o find_v out_o some_o way_n to_o spend_v time_n which_o now_o lie_v upon_o their_o hand_n and_o be_v more_o uneasy_a and_o troublesome_a to_o they_o than_o business_n be_v this_o be_v a_o more_o dangerous_a state_n and_o do_v more_o indispose_v they_o for_o a_o happy_a death_n than_o all_o the_o care_n and_o trouble_n of_o a_o active_a life_n but_o we_o must_v retire_v from_o this_o world_n to_o have_v more_o leisure_n and_o great_a opportunity_n to_o prepare_v for_o the_o next_o to_o adorn_v and_o cultivate_v our_o mind_n and_o dress_v our_o soul_n like_o a_o bride_n who_o be_v adorn_v to_o meet_v her_o bridegroom_n when_o man_n converse_v much_o in_o this_o world_n and_o be_v distract_v with_o the_o care_n and_o business_n of_o it_o when_o they_o live_v in_o a_o crowd_n of_o customer_n or_o client_n and_o be_v hurry_v from_o their_o shop_n to_o the_o exchange_n or_o custom-house_n or_o from_o their_o chamber_n to_o the_o bar_n and_o when_o they_o have_v discharge_v one_o obligation_n be_v press_v hard_o by_o another_o that_o at_o night_n they_o have_v hardly_o spirit_n leave_v to_o say_v their_o prayer_n nor_o any_o time_n for_o they_o in_o the_o morning_n and_o the_o lord_n day_n itself_o be_v think_v more_o proper_a for_o rest_n and_o refreshment_n than_o devotion_n i_o say_v what_o dull_a cold_a apprehension_n must_v such_o man_n so_o long_o in_o it_o that_o it_o weaken_v the_o hope_n and_o fear_n of_o the_o next_o world_n by_o remove_v it_o at_o too_o great_a a_o distance_n from_o we_o that_o it_o encourage_v man_n to_o live_v in_o sin_n because_o they_o have_v time_n enough_o before_o they_o to_o indulge_v their_o lust_n and_o to_o repent_v of_o their_o sin_n and_o make_v their_o peace_n with_o god_n before_o they_o die_v and_o if_o the_o uncertain_a hope_n of_o this_o undo_v so_o many_o man_n what_o will_v the_o certain_a knowledge_n of_o it_o do_v those_o who_o be_v too_o wise_a and_o considerate_a to_o be_v
