that_o must_v be_v set_v on_o work_n here_o but_o our_o heart_n for_o true_a happiness_n do_v not_o consist_v in_o a_o mere_a speculation_n but_o a_o fruition_n of_o good_a however_o therefore_o there_o be_v excellent_a use_n of_o scholar-ship_n in_o all_o the_o sacred_a employment_n of_o divinity_n yet_o in_o the_o main_a act_n which_o import_v salvation_n skill_n must_v give_v place_n to_o affection_n happy_a be_v the_o soul_n that_o be_v possess_v of_o christ_n how_o poor_a so_o ever_o in_o all_o inferior_a endowment_n you_o be_v wide_a o_o you_o great_a wit_n while_o you_o spend_v yourselves_o in_o curious_a question_n and_o learned_a extravagancy_n you_o shall_v find_v one_o touch_n of_o christ_n more_o worth_a to_o your_o soul_n than_o all_o your_o deep_a and_o laboursome_a disquisition_n one_o dram_n of_o faith_n more_o precious_a than_o a_o pound_n of_o knowledge_n in_o vain_a shall_v you_o seek_v for_o this_o in_o your_o book_n if_o you_o miss_v it_o in_o your_o bosom_n if_o you_o know_v all_o thing_n and_o can_v true_o say_v i_o know_v who_o i_o have_v believe_v 12._o you_o have_v but_o knowledge_n enough_o to_o know_v yourselves_o true_o miserable_a will_v thou_o therefore_o my_o son_n find_v true_a and_o solid_a comfort_n in_o the_o hour_n of_o temptation_n in_o the_o agony_n of_o death_n make_v sure_a work_n for_o thy_o soul_n in_o the_o day_n of_o be_v himself_o what_o have_v thou_o to_o do_v with_o that_o dreadful_a power_n which_o thou_o have_v provoke_v look_v to_o that_o merciful_a and_o all-sufficient_a mediator_n betwixt_o god_n and_o man_n who_o be_v both_o god_n and_o man_n 5_o jesus_n christ_n the_o righteous_a it_o be_v his_o charge_n 1._o and_o our_o duty_n 1._o you_o believe_v in_o god_n believe_v also_o in_o i_o yet_o look_v not_o mere_o to_o the_o lord_n jesus_n as_o consider_v in_o the_o notion_n of_o his_o own_o eternal_a be_v as_o the_o son_n of_o god_n coequal_a and_o coessential_a to_o god_n the_o father_n but_o look_v upon_o he_o as_o he_o stand_v in_o reference_n to_o the_o son_n of_o man_n and_o herein_o also_o look_v not_o to_o he_o so_o much_o as_o a_o lawgiver_n gal._n and_o a_o judge_n there_o be_v terror_n in_o such_o apprehension_n but_o look_v upon_o he_o as_o a_o gracious_a saviour_n and_o advocate_n and_o last_o look_v not_o upon_o he_o as_o in_o the_o generality_n of_o his_o mercy_n the_o common_a saviour_n of_o mankind_n what_o comfort_n be_v it_o to_o thou_o that_o all_o the_o world_n except_o thyself_o be_v save_v but_o look_v upon_o he_o as_o the_o dear_a redeemer_n of_o thy_o soul_n as_o thy_o advocate_n at_o the_o right_a hand_n of_o majesty_n as_o one_o with_o who_o thou_o be_v through_o his_o wonderful_a mâ—rcy_n inseparable_o unite_v tâ—us_o thus_o look_v upon_o he_o firm_o and_o fix_o so_o as_o he_o may_v never_o be_v out_o of_o thy_o eye_n and_o what_o ever_o secular_a object_n interpose_v themselves_o betwixt_o thou_o and_o he_o look_v through_o they_o as_o some_o slight_a mist_n and_o terminate_v thy_o sight_n still_o in_o this_o bless_a prospect_n let_v neither_o earth_n nor_o heaven_n hide_v he_o from_o thou_o in_o whatsoever_o condition_n and_o faith_n hear_v the_o son_n of_o god_n say_v unto_o thou_o 23._o thou_o be_v bone_n of_o my_o bone_n 30._o and_o flesh_n of_o my_o flesh_n sure_o as_o we_o be_v too_o much_o subject_n to_o pride_n ourselves_o in_o these_o earthly_a glory_n so_o we_o be_v too_o apt_a through_o ignorance_n or_o pusillanimity_n to_o undervalue_v ourselves_o in_o respect_n of_o our_o spiritual_a condition_n we_o be_v far_o more_o noble_a and_o excellent_a than_o we_o account_v ourselves_o it_o be_v our_o faith_n that_o must_v raise_v our_o thought_n to_o a_o due_a estimation_n of_o our_o greatness_n and_o must_v show_v we_o how_o high_o we_o be_v descend_v how_o royal_o we_o be_v ally_v how_o glorious_o estate_v that_o only_o be_v it_o that_o must_v advance_v we_o to_o heaven_n and_o bring_v heaven_n down_o to_o we_o through_o the_o want_n of_o the_o exercise_n whereof_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o to_o the_o great_a prejudice_n
