i_o say_v you_o may_v know_v it_o by_o the_o expression_n of_o it_o how_o do_v it_o set_v itself_o forth_o in_o thou_o it_o work_v something_o upon_o thou_o and_o that_o vent_v and_o show_v itself_o some_o way_n in_o thy_o heart_n and_o life_n therefore_o i_o find_v in_o scripture_n especial_o in_o the_o epistle_n of_o john_n where_o much_o be_v say_v of_o see_v god_n he_o bring_v the_o saint_n usual_o to_o know_v the_o sight_n of_o god_n by_o outward_a expression_n because_o though_o it_o be_v clear_a as_o i_o say_v yet_o it_o be_v so_o small_a that_o a_o st._n can_v always_o see_v it_o let_v we_o teach_v one_o another_o any_o how_o so_o we_o may_v edify_v one_o another_o in_o the_o lord_n public_o or_o private_o but_o when_o there_o be_v a_o spirit_n in_o people_n that_o they_o will_v not_o communicate_v the_o light_n as_o much_o as_o they_o can_v that_o other_o poor_a sinner_n may_v see_v it_o i_o suspect_v that_o light_n that_o it_o be_v not_o from_o god_n for_o whosoever_o see_v the_o light_n right_o he_o will_v do_v his_o utmost_a endeavour_n to_o bring_v other_o into_o the_o light_n in_o 6_o it_o enable_v to_o suffering_n as_o in_o but_o last_o i_o find_v whereas_o notwithstanding_o if_o you_o have_v all_o the_o gift_n in_o this_o world_n you_o can_v keep_v the_o commandment_n but_o the_o meaning_n be_v you_o shall_v find_v in_o the_o thing_n of_o promise_n and_o a_o humble_a heart_n will_v take_v they_o and_o bless_v god_n for_o any_o promise_n be_v it_o never_o so_o general_a and_o not_o stand_v so_o nice_o as_o proud_a people_n do_v this_o show_v a_o humble_a heart_n therefore_o examine_v if_o this_o be_v so_o with_o thou_o fourthlie_o a_o humble_a heart_n in_o matter_n of_o justification_n it_o appear_v by_o this_o that_o as_o it_o be_v content_a to_o have_v a_o righteousness_n in_o another_o righteousness_n 4._o to_o renounce_v our_o own_o righteousness_n and_o second_o to_o hold_v it_o upon_o a_o bare_a word_n if_o god_n give_v more_o he_o will_v take_v it_o if_o not_o he_o will_v hold_v it_o upon_o his_o bare_a word_n and_o three_o he_o will_v take_v the_o most_o general_a word_n so_o fourthly_a he_o will_v whole_o renounce_v and_o throw_v away_o his_o own_o righteousness_n and_o as_o paul_n do_v call_v it_o dung_n and_o dog_n meat_n so_o i_o may_v be_v find_v say_v he_o in_o jesus_n christ_n now_o a_o proud_a hear_v will_v have_v jesus_n christ_n only_o to_o sâ—der_v his_o own_o righteousness_n and_o jesus_n christ_n together_o he_o will_v have_v christ_n only_o to_o make_v up_o a_o little_a what_o be_v lack_v in_o he_o to_o make_v out_o what_o be_v want_v there_o be_v many_o man_n that_o go_v a_o great_a way_n in_o the_o pofession_n of_o religion_n but_o be_v pretty_a honest_a civil_a man_n before_o they_o will_v never_o be_v bring_v to_o renounce_v their_o own_o righteousness_n now_o jesus_n christ_n will_v never_o mend_v the_o heart_n by_o patch_v it_o but_o either_o he_o will_v make_v it_o whole_o new_a or_o the_o devil_n shall_v have_v all_o he_o will_v have_v the_o heart_n to_o have_v his_o righteousness_n whole_o or_o none_o at_o all_o now_o a_o man_n must_v throw_v away_o all_o speak_v as_o if_o his_o righteousness_n have_v be_v a_o chain_n and_o a_o burden_n last_o a_o humble_a heart_n a_o humble_a man_n or_o woman_n preparation_n 5._o notwithstanding_o our_o sin_n and_o want_v of_o preparation_n will_v do_v all_o this_o and_o he_o will_v do_v it_o let_v his_o sinfulness_n be_v never_o so_o great_a or_o let_v his_o preparation_n be_v never_o so_o little_a there_o be_v peter_z for_o i_o be_o a_o sinful_a man_n he_o have_v more_o need_n to_o have_v say_v come_v to_o i_o lord_n for_o i_o be_o a_o sinful_a man_n and_o then_o if_o his_o preparation_n be_v never_o so_o little_a man_n think_v that_o they_o can_v believe_v if_o they_o be_v qualify_v and_o have_v such_o preparation_n it_o be_v as_o if_o they_o shall_v say_v i_o will_v get_v so_o much_o and_o then_o i_o that_o be_v more_o please_a and_o smooth_a as_o job_n say_v job_n 21._o they_o prosper_v and_o their_o child_n dance_v and_o there_o be_v the_o timbrel_n and_o the_o harp_n and_o they_o say_v to_o god_n depart_v from_o we_o for_o we_o desire_v not_o the_o knowledge_n of_o thy_o way_n we_o be_v not_o enemy_n to_o it_o we_o do_v not_o fight_v against_o it_o we_o allow_v preacher_n to_o be_v there_o but_o true_o we_o desire_v not_o the_o knowledge_n of_o thy_o way_n this_o be_v the_o language_n of_o a_o proud_a heart_n now_o be_v there_o in_o you_o such_o a_o heart_n that_o though_o jeer_v of_o the_o people_n of_o god_n he_o be_v a_o enemy_n to_o all_o holiness_n and_o say_v he_o yonder_o man_n his_o day_n of_o visitation_n be_v not_o yet_o come_v but_o then_o he_o will_v bless_v god_n in_o that_o day_n and_o say_v o_o bless_a be_v the_o lord_n that_o send_v i_o such_o a_o friend_n or_o such_o a_o neighbour_n he_o will_v oft_o come_v to_o call_v upon_o i_o to_o go_v to_o sermon_n and_o i_o do_v curse_v he_o when_o he_o entreat_v i_o to_o go_v i_o will_v stay_v at_o home_n and_o drink_v and_o swear_v but_o now_o i_o remember_v his_o prayer_n and_o his_o instruction_n that_o i_o do_v then_o jeer_v at_o but_o now_o they_o be_v precious_a to_o my_o soul_n and_o therefore_o think_v a_o poor_a humble_a saint_n why_o be_v it_o that_o i_o be_o better_a than_o the_o worst_a sinner_n it_o be_v because_o god_n have_v send_v i_o the_o day_n of_o visitation_n before_o he_o when_o god_n shall_v send_v his_o day_n of_o visitation_n to_o he_o i_o have_v reason_n to_o think_v that_o he_o may_v be_v in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n before_o i_o and_o therefore_o let_v i_o be_v meek_a and_o affable_a towards_o he_o belove_a that_o stir_v and_o rigour_n and_o these_o word_n i_o begin_v to_o speak_v of_o this_o the_o last_o time_n i_o tell_v you_o that_o man_n be_v of_o two_o sort_n either_o saint_n or_o sinner_n according_a to_o the_o scripture_n language_n not_o according_a to_o the_o curse_a language_n of_o these_o time_n that_o denominate_v man_n from_o every_o opinion_n and_o call_v they_o seeker_n and_o presbiterian_o and_o anabaptist_n and_o independent_o i_o know_v not_o what_o curse_v language_n but_o i_o say_v all_o man_n be_v either_o saint_n or_o sinner_n thou_o be_v either_o a_o saint_n or_o a_o sinner_n christ_n have_v but_o two_o name_n for_o man_n here_o and_o will_v have_v but_o two_o hand_n when_o he_o come_v to_o judge_v his_o right_a hand_n and_o his_o left_a hand_n and_o there_o be_v but_o two_o place_n after_o judgement_n heaven_n and_o hell_n so_o by_o our_o carriage_n towards_o saint_n and_o sinner_n we_o may_v know_v whether_o we_o have_v this_o grace_n of_o humiliation_n or_o no._n of_o our_o carriage_n to_o sinner_n i_o speak_v somewhat_o the_o last_o time_n i_o shall_v now_o proceed_v to_o the_o last_o thing_n of_o all_o that_o be_v our_o carriage_n and_o demeanour_n to_o the_o saint_n and_o therein_o because_o we_o be_v now_o upon_o examination_n i_o beseech_v you_o in_o a_o special_a manner_n to_o have_v a_o eye_n upon_o your_o heart_n while_o i_o be_o speak_v that_o god_n may_v make_v that_o have_v see_v our_o lord_n mean_v the_o apostle_n he_o be_v see_v of_o james_n and_o of_o cephas_n etc._n etc._n and_o last_o of_o all_o he_o be_v see_v of_o i_o as_o one_o bear_v out_o of_o due_a time_n for_o i_o be_o the_o least_o of_o all_o the_o apostle_n and_o be_o not_o worthy_a to_o be_v call_v a_o apostle_n the_o greek_a word_n signify_v a_o child_n that_o be_v bear_v dead_a or_o as_o it_o be_v into_o the_o world_n before_o the_o time_n we_o say_v sometime_o of_o a_o child_n when_o it_o be_v bear_v there_o be_v the_o least_o child_n that_o ever_o be_v bear_v alive_a but_o
