succour_n and_o when_o we_o seem_v to_o be_v cut_v of_o and_o to_o be_v cast_v away_o from_o god_n even_o then_o to_o believe_v and_o by_o faith_n to_o lay_v sure_a handfast_a on_o god_n eternal_a mercy_n and_o grace_n in_o christ_n as_o david_n here_o do_v who_o be_v afflict_v and_o feel_v no_o comfort_n and_o yet_o he_o say_v i_o lift_v up_o my_o eye_n to_o the_o hill_n from_o whence_o come_v my_o help_n thou_o must_v lift_v up_o thine_o eye_n therefore_o and_o in_o no_o wise_n fix_v they_o upon_o the_o present_a trouble_n calamity_n or_o affliction_n whatsoever_o the_o flesh_n see_v may_v be_v make_v to_o they_o visible_a by_o faith_n according_a to_o the_o promise_n of_o god_n make_v unto_o they_o in_o his_o word_n these_o be_v the_o word_n therefore_o of_o a_o man_n that_o feel_v the_o same_o that_o we_o feel_v that_o be_v to_o say_v our_o heart_n to_o be_v oppress_v with_o sorrow_n and_o heaviness_n when_o we_o think_v ourselves_o to_o be_v desolate_a and_o forsake_a can_v see_v no_o succour_n when_o we_o see_v not_o riches_n but_o poverty_n not_o glory_n but_o ignominy_n shame_n and_o confusion_n in_o these_o calamity_n the_o heart_n be_v a_o heavy_a burden_n weigh_v down_o to_o the_o ground_n the_o eye_n and_o the_o head_n that_o they_o can_v see_v or_o think_v upon_o nothing_o else_o but_o terrene_a and_o earthly_a thing_n therefore_o he_o exhort_v we_o by_o his_o own_o example_n to_o lift_v up_o our_o eye_n and_o look_v to_o invisible_a thing_n which_o the_o word_n promise_v we_o shall_v certain_o enjoy_v thus_o we_o see_v the_o nature_n of_o faith_n lively_o set_v out_o in_o this_o psalm_n now_o follow_v as_o it_o be_v a_o explication_n what_o hill_n he_o speak_v of_o verse_n 2._o my_o help_n come_v of_o the_o lord_n which_o have_v make_v heaven_n and_o earth_n he_o speak_v here_o of_o such_o hill_n as_o the_o eye_n of_o the_o flesh_n can_v not_o see_v for_o who_o be_v so_o quick_a of_o sight_n to_o see_v or_o so_o wise_a to_o perceive_v and_o understand_v that_o the_o hill_n moria_n be_v a_o holy_a hill_n a_o heap_n of_o earth_n the_o bodily_a eye_n may_v see_v but_o the_o holiness_n the_o power_n and_o the_o majesty_n of_o god_n there_o present_a they_o can_v not_o see_v nor_o that_o the_o word_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v there_o that_o the_o lord_n have_v promise_v there_o to_o dwell_v and_o abide_v that_o he_o have_v put_v a_o memorial_n of_o his_o name_n in_o that_o place_n and_o that_o there_o he_o will_v be_v seek_v there_o he_o will_v be_v find_v for_o he_o that_o seek_v not_o god_n in_o this_o place_n can_v not_o find_v he_o in_o heaven_n like_a as_o since_o god_n have_v reveil_v himself_o in_o that_o man_n christ_n we_o true_o say_v and_o also_o believe_v that_o whosoever_o do_v not_o embrace_v and_o by_o faith_n lie_v hold_v on_o this_o man_n which_o be_v bear_v of_o the_o virgin_n they_o can_v never_o believe_v in_o god_n but_o although_o they_o say_v they_o believe_v in_o the_o maker_n of_o heaven_n and_o earth_n yet_o do_v they_o in_o deed_n believe_v in_o the_o idol_n of_o their_o own_o heart_n for_o without_o christ_n there_o be_v no_o true_a god_n therefore_o david_n behold_v these_o hill_n in_o jerusalem_n not_o with_o bodily_a eye_n as_o the_o ox_n do_v his_o stall_n but_o with_o the_o eye_n of_o the_o spirit_n he_o see_v that_o god_n dwell_v there_o by_o his_o word_n therefore_o these_o hill_n be_v now_o no_o more_o earth_n and_o mould_n but_o they_o be_v the_o hill_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o the_o fullness_n of_o his_o godhead_n so_o that_o with_o out_o these_o hill_n concern_v god_n there_o can_v nothing_o be_v find_v therefore_o it_o be_v true_o say_v of_o the_o prophet_n that_o from_o these_o hill_n come_v help_v and_o succour_n that_o be_v to_o say_v from_o god_n dwell_v and_o abide_v there_o by_o his_o word_n like_a as_o we_o believe_v that_o christ_n be_v the_o throne_n of_o grace_n in_o the_o which_o be_v the_o treasure_n of_o all_o good_a thing_n and_o heavenly_a blessing_n to_o be_v find_v and_o without_o the_o which_o there_o be_v nothing_o now_o in_o that_o he_o do_v not_o only_o say_v my_o help_n come_v from_o the_o lord_n but_o add_v moreover_o which_o make_v heaven_n &_o earth_n he_o reprove_v &_o condemn_v all_o other_o help_n which_o man_n seek_v &_o procure_v unto_o themselves_o beside_o god_n with_o false_a trust_n &_o affiance_n in_o the_o same_o as_o idol_n of_o their_o own_o imagination_n so_o be_v mammon_n a_o god_n also_o that_o be_v to_o say_v be_v worship_v of_o man_n as_o a_o god_n &_o help_v they_o also_o sometime_o but_o in_o penury_n of_o food_n &_o victual_n what_o succour_n can_v he_o bring_v no_o man_n can_v satisfy_v his_o hungry_a belly_n with_o gold_n and_o silver_n likewise_o in_o drought_n and_o barrenness_n of_o the_o earth_n what_o can_v he_o help_v what_o good_a can_v he_o do_v in_o disease_n &_o infirmity_n of_o the_o body_n if_o then_o in_o these_o corporal_a malady_n he_o can_v not_o help_v what_o can_v he_o do_v when_o the_o conscience_n be_v trouble_v with_o sin_n &_o the_o horror_n of_o death_n it_o be_v therefore_o but_o a_o false_a pleasure_n and_o delight_n that_o mammon_n bring_v which_o be_v but_o only_o to_o satisfy_v &_o please_v the_o eye_n as_o a_o picture_n or_o paint_a table_n against_o these_o help_n therefore_o &_o such_o like_a which_o the_o world_n seek_v after_o the_o prophet_n set_v the_o lord_n himself_o who_o make_v not_o only_a gold_n &_o silver_n not_o only_a food_n &_o sustenance_n heaven_n and_o earth_n that_o be_v to_o say_v angel_n man_n and_o the_o whole_a world_n but_o beside_o these_o give_v remission_n of_o sin_n faith_n righteousness_n joy_n &_o peace_n of_o heart_n with_o everlasting_a life_n he_o be_v say_v the_o prophet_n my_o almighty_a and_o sure_a help_n of_o who_o i_o can_v not_o doubt_v that_o he_o will_v ever_o fail_v i_o the_o twinkle_n of_o a_o eye_n to_o this_o lord_n i_o fly_v for_o aid_n &_o thing_n be_v invisible_a &_o can_v not_o be_v see_v but_o with_o spiritual_a eye_n therefore_o we_o common_o neglect_v they_o and_o albeit_o the_o lord_n do_v sometime_o hide_v these_o help_n from_o thy_o wife_n thy_o child_n thou_o fall_v into_o sickness_n and_o infirmity_n of_o body_n thou_o lose_v thy_o good_n thine_o estimation_n the_o peace_n and_o tranquillity_n of_o conscience_n yea_o and_o some_o time_n according_a to_o thine_o own_o sense_n and_o feeling_n christ_n himself_o also_o these_o be_v great_a matter_n in_o deed_n but_o beware_v that_o while_o thou_o judge_v these_o thing_n after_o thine_o own_o sense_n thou_o make_v not_o of_o a_o drop_n a_o infinite_a sea_n and_o of_o a_o sparkle_n a_o flame_a fire_n though_o it_o be_v never_o so_o great_a which_o thou_o feel_v and_o suffer_v yet_o god_n be_v great_a if_o god_n and_o christ_n then_o perish_v not_o if_o they_o still_o live_v and_o reign_v what_o if_o thou_o lose_v thy_o wife_n thy_o child_n thy_o good_n yea_o and_o thy_o life_n also_o for_o what_o be_v all_o these_o if_o thou_o compare_v they_o to_o the_o inestimable_a grace_n of_o god_n and_o the_o riches_n which_o he_o have_v promise_v in_o his_o word_n but_o mere_a nothing_o therefore_o let_v we_o lift_v up_o our_o mind_n to_o these_o heavenly_a riches_n and_o let_v we_o learn_v right_o to_o discern_v between_o the_o cross_n in_o respect_n of_o itself_o that_o be_v of_o the_o flesh_n and_o the_o sense_n of_o our_o own_o heart_n and_o in_o respect_n of_o god_n and_o his_o rich_a promise_n which_o if_o we_o consider_v as_o it_o be_v in_o itself_o and_o without_o christ_n what_o trouble_n be_v so_o small_a that_o shall_v not_o utter_o overthrow_v we_o and_o so_o shall_v every_o trouble_v be_v unto_o we_o intolerable_a but_o if_o we_o behold_v the_o same_o in_o respect_n of_o god_n with_o the_o eye_n of_o faith_n though_o our_o affliction_n and_o calamity_n seem_v never_o so_o great_a and_o grievous_a yet_o the_o supper_n abundant_a mercy_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n swallow_v they_o up_o all_o who_o albeit_o he_o suffer_v we_o to_o be_v afflict_v for_o a_o little_a season_n yet_o shall_v the_o entâ—e_fw-fr be_v full_a affliction_n yea_o and_o death_n itself_o be_v altogether_o as_o you_o will_v say_v but_o one_o nothing_o and_o if_o we_o compare_v they_o unto_o god_n by_o the_o judgement_n of_o faith_n we_o shall_v feel_v they_o so_o to_o be_v in_o deed_n but_o who_o have_v sufficient_o learn_v thus_o to_o do_v somewhat_o we_o may_v say_v christian_n and_o teach_v other_o after_o a_o sort_n but_o use_v and_o experience_n with_o inward_a practice_n and_o feel_v be_v that_o which_o make_v a_o right_a divine_a and_o a_o true_a christian_a in_o deed_n so_o that_o he_o may_v be_v able_a bold_o to_o affirm_v and_o say_v with_o david_n he_o will_v not_o suffer_v thy_o foot_n to_o styppe_v that_o be_v to_o say_v he_o will_v not_o suffer_v thou_o to_o be_v utter_o overthrow_v and_o perish_v but_o the_o flesh_n say_v the_o contrary_a because_o it_o feel_v not_o only_o thy_o foot_n to_o slip_v but_o itself_o also_o to_o be_v tread_v under_o foot_n behold_v the_o son_n of_o god_n what_o he_o suffer_v behold_v john_n baptist_n the_o virgin_n mary_n the_o apostle_n the_o prophet_n what_o they_o suffer_v behold_v the_o church_n at_o this_o day_n what_o danger_n it_o be_v in_o what_o trouble_v and_o affliction_n it_o continual_o suffer_v and_o this_o be_v the_o state_n of_o the_o godly_a upon_o the_o experience_n whereof_o arise_v this_o proverb_n the_o more_o wicked_a the_o more_o happy_a and_o therefore_o the_o world_n fear_v and_o shun_v these_o danger_n can_v never_o abide_v the_o gospel_n and_o thus_o it_o appear_v to_o they_o not_o to_o be_v true_a that_o david_n say_v here_o the_o lord_n will_v not_o suffer_v thy_o foot_n to_o slip_v but_o rather_o the_o contrary_a that_o he_o cause_v thy_o foot_n to_o slip_v albeit_o it_o do_v but_o seem_v so_o for_o he_o do_v not_o so_o in_o deed_n and_o that_o to_o the_o flesh_n only_o but_o contrariwise_o to_o the_o spirit_n and_o faith_n it_o be_v exaltation_n and_o glory_n before_o god_n they_o judge_v that_o death_n which_o be_v suffer_v for_o the_o confession_n of_o the_o gospel_n to_o be_v a_o beginning_n of_o a_o better_a and_o eternal_a life_n ignominy_n shame_n and_o contempt_n of_o the_o world_n they_o count_v inestimable_a glory_n in_o the_o sight_n of_o god._n faith_n this_o be_v the_o judgement_n of_o faith_n albeit_o the_o flesh_n think_v otherwise_o but_o we_o may_v not_o judge_v after_o the_o flesh_n for_o if_o we_o do_v what_o need_v then_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o word_n what_o need_v exhortation_n what_o need_v the_o promise_n therefore_o we_o must_v turn_v the_o evil_a into_o good_a and_o be_v see_v and_o feel_v but_o such_o as_o will_v not_o believe_v but_o follow_v their_o own_o sense_n and_o feel_v do_v rather_o choose_v the_o glory_n &_o pleasure_n of_o this_o world_n which_o so_o little_a while_n endure_v and_o so_o sudden_o vanish_v away_o but_o how_o miserable_a shall_v their_o condition_n be_v when_o after_o these_o transitory_a momentane_z and_o vain_a pleasure_n they_o shall_v find_v and_o feel_v nothing_o but_o anguish_n &_o torment_n with_o weep_v &_o wail_v for_o ever_o &_o without_o end_n how_o much_o better_o have_v it_o be_v for_o they_o to_o have_v suffer_v for_o a_o while_n with_o lazarus_n both_o sickness_n and_o poverty_n then_o for_o a_o little_a season_n to_o flourish_v with_o the_o rich_a glutton_n in_o wealth_n and_o prosperity_n &_o with_o he_o to_o be_v torment_v in_o everlasting_a fire_n this_o doctrine_n therefore_o pertain_v to_o those_o which_o desire_v to_o believe_v &_o not_o to_o feel_v that_o they_o may_v discern_v between_o god_n &_o their_o affliction_n not_o fix_v their_o eye_n upon_o the_o present_a calamity_n but_o look_v up_o to_o the_o invisible_a help_n promise_v in_o the_o word_n for_o those_o trouble_n &_o danger_n where_o unto_o the_o faithful_a be_v subject_a do_v in_o deed_n cause_v the_o foot_n to_o slip_v but_o yet_o so_o that_o faith_n will_v not_o suffer_v they_o to_o fall_v but_o make_v they_o able_a to_o pass_v over_o those_o rock_n be_v they_o never_o so_o dangerous_a &_o to_o compare_v their_o momentane_z affliction_n with_o those_o thing_n which_o be_v infinite_a and_o everlasting_a as_o to_o god_n himself_o his_o power_n his_o grace_n and_o final_o eternal_a life_n which_o god_n have_v promise_v in_o christ_n to_o they_o that_o believe_v in_o he_o to_o know_v these_o thing_n it_o be_v necessary_a that_o we_o may_v be_v able_a to_o comfort_n both_o ourselves_o
that_o he_o be_v able_a likewise_o to_o destroy_v both_o body_n and_o soul_n if_o god_n do_v so_o permit_v but_o also_o to_o stir_v we_o up_o to_o faith_n and_o prayer_n that_o we_o shall_v call_v upon_o he_o for_o aid_n and_o succour_v against_o these_o perilous_a snare_n and_o be_v deliver_v shall_v give_v he_o thanks_n and_o praise_n for_o the_o same_o moreover_o every_o tentation_n be_v a_o snare_n whether_o it_o be_v of_o the_o flesh_n or_o of_o the_o spirit_n persecution_n torment_n imprisonment_n slander_v disease_n and_o infirmity_n of_o the_o body_n be_v snare_n which_o as_o they_o soul_n have_v almost_o dwell_v in_o silence_n 93._o verse_n 8._o our_o help_n be_v in_o the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n who_o have_v make_v both_o heaven_n and_o earth_n this_o be_v the_o conclusion_n of_o thanksgiving_n affliction_n contain_v a_o worthy_a sentence_n of_o great_a comfort_n that_o against_o sin_n the_o horror_n of_o death_n and_o other_o danger_n there_o be_v no_o other_o help_n and_o succour_n it_o be_v not_o able_a wherefore_o this_o be_v a_o necessary_a conclusion_n our_o help_n be_v in_o the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n it_o be_v a_o short_a sentence_n but_o it_o set_v forth_o most_o worthy_a doctrine_n and_o consolation_n whereof_o â–ª_o special_o in_o these_o latter_a day_n we_o have_v great_a need_n see_v the_o pope_n together_o with_o the_o great_a part_n of_o attain_v without_o continual_a affliction_n affliction_n whereby_o it_o be_v necessary_a that_o the_o confidence_n of_o all_o worldly_a succour_n shall_v be_v beat_v down_o for_o vexation_n and_o of_o god_n be_v preach_v concern_v remission_n of_o sin_n the_o righteousness_n that_o come_v by_o christ_n and_o life_n everlasting_a this_o doctrine_n destroy_v his_o kingdom_n this_o cause_v he_o to_o rage_n and_o to_o seek_v by_o all_o mean_v possible_a how_o he_o may_v hinder_v the_o course_n of_o the_o gospel_n the_o other_o part_n of_o the_o worship_n of_o god_n be_v to_o praise_v the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n word_n this_o david_n make_v the_o second_o kind_n of_o worship_n when_o he_o commend_v his_o jerusalem_n and_o here_o again_o note_v that_o he_o speak_v nothing_o of_o the_o sacrifice_n of_o the_o law_n for_o albeit_o he_o do_v not_o discommend_v they_o as_o i_o say_v before_o yet_o he_o reckon_v they_o but_o as_o chaff_n in_o comparison_n of_o the_o word_n and_o the_o fruit_n which_o follow_v thereof_o which_o be_v thank_n give_v and_o if_o he_o have_v name_v the_o sley_a of_o sacrifice_n every_o man_n have_v not_o be_v able_a to_o serve_v god_n with_o that_o kind_n of_o worship_n therefore_o he_o require_v nothing_o else_o but_o that_o which_o they_o be_v able_a to_o do_v without_o great_a charge_n which_o yet_o notwithstanding_o very_o few_o do_v he_o all_o the_o world_n as_o we_o see_v be_v full_a &_o even_o glut_v with_o the_o benefit_n of_o god_n notwithstanding_o it_o remain_v still_o in_o such_o blindness_n that_o it_o know_v they_o not_o to_o be_v the_o gift_n of_o god_n and_o therefore_o it_o take_v and_o use_v they_o not_o otherwise_o then_o hog_n do_v their_o draff_n &_o swill_n but_o david_n see_v that_o god_n have_v give_v he_o a_o speak_v can_v not_o find_v god_n hereby_o we_o may_v see_v how_o horrible_a a_o thing_n it_o be_v to_o contemn_v and_o to_o loathe_v the_o word_n for_o what_o can_v be_v more_o horrible_a than_o that_o man_n a_o weak_a creature_n nothing_o but_o earth_n &_o dust_n shall_v so_o lift_v up_o himself_o in_o pride_n that_o when_o the_o majesty_n of_o god_n speak_v &_o most_o love_o invite_v he_o to_o hear_v he_o will_v not_o hear_v and_o yet_o we_o see_v that_o there_o be_v nothing_o more_o common_a than_o this_o impiety_n this_o horrible_a contempt_n this_o devilish_a loathe_n of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n amongst_o all_o sort_n of_o man_n the_o cause_n be_v for_o that_o we_o hear_v not_o the_o lord_n speak_v now_o unto_o we_o in_o his_o majesty_n as_o he_o speak_v in_o the_o mount_v sinai_n at_o what_o time_n the_o people_n be_v astonish_v &_o tremble_v at_o the_o terrible_a voice_n of_o the_o lord_n &_o yet_o how_o soon_o have_v they_o forget_v the_o lord_n and_o murmur_v both_o against_o the_o lord_n and_o against_o moses_n thus_o in_o his_o majesty_n he_o speak_v no_o more_o but_o he_o speak_v now_o unto_o we_o by_o man_n and_o therefore_o he_o be_v contemn_v horrible_a which_o persecute_v the_o word_n with_o open_a tyranny_n but_o such_o also_o as_o be_v even_o amongst_o we_o &_o at_o the_o beginning_n seem_v to_o receive_v this_o doctrine_n with_o great_a rejoice_v wherefore_o david_n exhort_v
we_o in_o this_o psalm_n with_o thankfulness_n to_o acknowledge_v this_o singular_a benefit_n of_o the_o word_n and_o to_o beware_v of_o the_o horrible_a contempt_n thereof_o how_o much_o better_a be_v it_o to_o suffer_v pestilence_n famine_n and_o the_o sword_n how_o much_o more_o tolerable_a for_o david_n to_o become_v both_o a_o adulterer_n and_o a_o murderer_n so_o that_o there_o remain_v matter_n of_o faith_n not_o to_o trust_v unto_o that_o which_o the_o eye_n see_v but_o which_o the_o word_n offer_v and_o promise_v this_o one_o thing_n therefore_o be_v lack_v in_o we_o that_o we_o have_v not_o the_o eye_n of_o the_o spirit_n but_o we_o judge_v according_a to_o the_o eye_n and_o sense_n of_o the_o flesh_n for_o else_o we_o shall_v be_v no_o more_o afraid_a than_o they_o which_o we_o and_o work_v we_o in_o deed_n some_o sorrow_n but_o he_o can_v not_o move_v us._n this_o similitude_n seem_v to_o be_v take_v out_o of_o the_o story_n of_o helizeus_fw-la in_o the_o 2._o book_n of_o the_o king_n where_o the_o servant_n of_o helizeus_fw-la see_v the_o hill_n about_o he_o full_a of_o fiery_a chariote_n and_o horseman_n compass_n helizeus_fw-la round_a about_o and_o mighty_o defend_v he_o this_o succour_n which_o the_o servant_n of_o helizeus_fw-la see_v and_o the_o prophet_n believe_v when_o he_o see_v nothing_o be_v say_v the_o prophet_n round_o about_o all_o they_o which_o trust_v in_o the_o lord_n as_o also_o the_o 34._o psalm_n witness_v the_o angel_n of_o the_o lord_n pitch_v round_o about_o they_o that_o fear_v he_o but_o our_o eye_n be_v shut_v up_o and_o fiery_a wall_n that_o be_v with_o the_o sure_a custody_n the_o continual_a watch_n and_o ward_n of_o the_o angel_n but_o the_o lord_n himself_o be_v our_o wall_n so_o that_o every_o way_n we_o be_v defend_v by_o the_o lord_n against_o all_o danger_n above_o we_o he_o be_v a_o heaven_n on_o both_o side_n he_o be_v as_o a_o wall_n under_o we_o he_o be_v as_o a_o strong_a rock_n whereupon_o we_o stand_v so_o be_v we_o every_o way_n sure_a and_o safe_a now_o if_o satan_n through_o these_o munition_n cast_v his_o dart_n at_o we_o it_o must_v needs_o be_v that_o the_o lord_n himself_o shall_v be_v hurt_v before_o we_o take_v harm_n but_o great_a be_v our_o incredulity_n which_o hear_v all_o these_o thing_n in_o vain_a yet_o must_v they_o be_v teach_v and_o learn_v lest_o the_o time_n come_v that_o we_o be_v destitute_a of_o all_o counsel_n and_o comfort_n in_o these_o matter_n for_o certain_a it_o be_v that_o the_o hour_n shall_v come_v when_o we_o must_v have_v experience_n of_o right_o use_v their_o authority_n either_o in_o the_o church_n or_o in_o the_o common_a wealth_n the_o cause_n be_v for_o that_o the_o great_a part_n serve_v their_o own_o affection_n their_o own_o lust_n and_o pleasure_n and_o while_o they_o shall_v rule_v other_o they_o suffer_v themselves_o to_o be_v rule_v and_o govern_v of_o satan_n hereof_o come_v it_o that_o we_o see_v the_o pope_n the_o bishop_n yea_o the_o whole_a papacy_n to_o have_v no_o care_n of_o the_o word_n nor_o love_n to_o the_o word_n at_o all_o but_o be_v whole_o give_v over_o to_o seek_v theor_n own_o glory_n dignity_n wealth_n and_o pleasure_n wherefore_o their_o authority_n bind_v not_o we_o although_o it_o be_v the_o authority_n of_o a_o angel_n from_o heaven_n but_o with_o good_a conscience_n we_o depart_v from_o they_o lest_o we_o shall_v be_v disobedient_a to_o the_o high_a authority_n and_o majesty_n which_o be_v god_n himself_o but_o if_o the_o pope_n with_o his_o prelate_n will_v not_o resist_v that_o they_o be_v accurse_v it_o be_v a_o common_a principle_n amongst_o the_o popish_a doctor_n that_o the_o pope_n be_v above_o the_o word_n and_o the_o scripture_n and_o that_o in_o the_o law_n of_o god_n he_o may_v dispense_v as_o please_v he_o but_o god_n give_v no_o authority_n unto_o man_n above_o the_o word_n so_o shall_v he_o set_v man_n that_o be_v to_o say_v dust_n and_o dung_n above_o himself_o for_o what_o be_v the_o word_n but_o god_n himself_o this_o word_n they_o that_o honour_n obey_v and_o keep_v be_v the_o true_a church_n in_o deed_n be_v they_o never_o so_o contemptible_a in_o the_o world_n but_o they_o which_o do_v not_o be_v the_o church_n of_o satan_n and_o accurse_v of_o god._n word_n and_o this_o be_v the_o cause_n why_o it_o be_v express_o set_v prelate_n at_o this_o day_n will_v not_o be_v subject_a to_o the_o authority_n and_o rule_n of_o the_o word_n &_o the_o scripture_n for_o the_o evil_a conscience_n which_o the_o pope_n have_v do_v wicked_a that_o they_o shall_v not_o take_v upon_o they_o a_o absolute_a power_n contrary_a to_o the_o word_n for_o there_o be_v no_o absolute_a promise_n but_o that_o which_o pertain_v unto_o christ_n which_o say_v not_o with_o a_o certain_a condition_n but_o general_o and_o absolute_o that_o christ_n shall_v come_v of_o the_o seed_n of_o abraham_n now_o whereas_o the_o corporal_a kingdom_n do_v endure_v until_o this_o promise_n as_o touch_v christ_n
