agreeable_a to_o the_o reveal_v will_n of_o god_n and_o yet_o not_o according_a to_o his_o secret_a will_n and_o purpose_n and_o though_o the_o purpose_n of_o god_n be_v against_o what_o we_o pray_v for_o yet_o if_o it_o be_v according_a to_o the_o reveal_v will_n of_o god_n we_o may_v lawful_o pray_v in_o faith_n for_o it_o as_o now_o suppose_v a_o man_n or_o woman_n pray_v for_o the_o life_n of_o such_o a_o relation_n a_o husband_n or_o a_o wife_n or_o a_o child_n or_o a_o friend_n he_o pray_v earnest_o for_o their_o life_n well_o god_n in_o his_o secret_a purpose_n have_v determine_v otherwise_o the_o secret_a will_n of_o god_n be_v contrary_a yet_o this_o be_v lawful_a according_a to_o the_o reveal_v will_n of_o god_n to_o pray_v for_o the_o welfare_n of_o the_o sick_a he_o may_v and_o command_n of_o god_n as_o our_o duty_n brethren_n it_o be_v the_o will_n and_o command_v of_o god_n and_o our_o duty_n that_o we_o shall_v pray_v always_o in_o psalm_n 105.4_o seek_v the_o lord_n and_o his_o strength_n seek_v his_o face_n evermore_o so_o you_o know_v in_o luke_n 18.1_o he_o propound_v a_o parable_n to_o his_o disciple_n to_o the_o end_n that_o man_n shall_v always_o discourage_v we_o no_o but_o look_v principal_a at_o god_n call_v you_o to_o it_o and_o if_o it_o be_v so_o thaâ—_n god_n call_v we_o to_o the_o work_n he_o will_v give_v we_o of_o hâ—_n spirit_n in_o some_o measure_n to_o strengthen_v we_o and_o help_v we_o when_o moses_n die_v and_o joshuah_n succeed_v he_o he_o have_v great_a difficulty_n to_o go_v through_o in_o the_o work_n he_o be_v call_v to_o but_o say_v the_o lord_n fear_v not_o be_v not_o discourage_v i_o will_v not_o fail_v thou_o nor_o forsake_v thou_o therefore_o if_o you_o be_v assure_v that_o the_o lord_n call_v you_o to_o the_o work_n and_o service_n you_o be_v employ_v in_o fear_v not_o trust_v in_o the_o lord_n keep_v in_o his_o way_n and_o he_o will_v give_v you_o strength_n he_o will_v stand_v by_o you_o and_o good_a though_o the_o creature_n may_v intend_v otherwise_o the_o wicked_a man_n may_v intend_v to_o persecute_v and_o persecute_v they_o as_o enemy_n but_o when_o a_o man_n or_o woman_n please_v the_o great_a king_n of_o king_n i_o tell_v you_o the_o favour_n of_o god_n in_o heaven_n be_v as_o life_n to_o a_o man_n soul_n david_n can_v say_v it_o that_o know_v it_o by_o experience_n in_o to_o add_v but_o that_o be_v it_o not_o a_o desirable_a thing_n for_o a_o man_n or_o woman_n to_o be_v able_a to_o look_v death_n in_o the_o face_n with_o comfort_n when_o death_n come_v to_o stare_v hezekiah_n when_o he_o have_v the_o sentence_n of_o death_n upon_o he_o in_o isa_n 38.3_o lord_n say_v he_o remember_v how_o i_o have_v walk_v before_o thou_o in_o truth_n and_o with_o a_o perfect_a your_o faith_n to_o consider_v of_o the_o love_n of_o god_n the_o father_n and_o the_o love_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n that_o god_n the_o father_n shall_v prepare_v jesus_n christ_n his_o therefore_o i_o shall_v if_o you_o please_v to_o give_v i_o leave_v only_o give_v you_o four_o or_o five_o head_n of_o thing_n that_o may_v have_v be_v further_o enlarge_v upon_o by_o way_n of_o direction_n how_o to_o exercise_v faith_n in_o our_o particular_a calling_n and_o several_a condition_n that_o we_o may_v be_v in_o in_o this_o life_n i_o will_v but_o name_v they_o you_o may_v enlarge_v upon_o they_o in_o your_o own_o private_a meditation_n brief_o then_o one_a in_o the_o first_o place_n will_v we_o exercise_v faith_n in_o our_o particular_a calling_n and_o station_n and_o relation_n and_o condition_n that_o we_o be_v in_o then_o be_v careful_a to_o eye_n the_o hand_n of_o god_n lead_v and_o bring_v of_o you_o into_o this_o or_o that_o call_n condition_n and_o course_n of_o life_n that_o we_o may_v be_v able_a to_o say_v as_o paul_n do_v 1_o cor._n 1.1_o paul_n call_v to_o be_v a_o apostle_n of_o jesus_n christ_n through_o the_o will_n of_o god_n it_o be_v the_o will_n of_o god_n that_o bring_v he_o into_o that_o state_n and_o course_n of_o life_n so_o must_v we_o be_v able_a to_o say_v or_o else_o we_o can_v act_v and_o exercise_v faith_n in_o our_o particular_a calling_n station_n and_o relation_n we_o must_v be_v able_a to_o say_v that_o god_n have_v lead_v i_o into_o this_o or_o that_o or_o the_o other_o course_n of_o life_n or_o into_o this_o and_o that_o change_n of_o condition_n faith_n do_v not_o lead_v a_o man_n to_o make_v haste_n to_o be_v over_o hasty_a for_o any_o thing_n i_o have_v a_o mind_n to_o such_o a_o thing_n i_o have_v a_o strong_a fancy_n to_o it_o and_z and_o therefore_o i_o must_v enter_v into_o such_o a_o call_v or_o enter_v into_o such_o a_o change_n of_o condition_n but_o faith_n do_v put_v a_o soul_n upon_o this_o namely_o to_o be_v solicitous_a to_o understand_v the_o mind_n of_o god_n and_o therefore_o observe_v it_o faith_n will_v put_v a_o soul_n upon_o earnestness_n and_o frequency_n in_o prayer_n to_o seek_v counsel_n of_o the_o lord_n whether_o this_o or_o that_o be_v according_a to_o his_o will_n or_o no_o and_o also_o to_o advise_v with_o christian_n about_o it_o that_o so_o he_o may_v understand_v the_o mind_n and_o will_v and_o counsel_n of_o god_n about_o it_o that_o be_v the_o first_o rule_n second_o another_o rule_n be_v this_o we_o shall_v be_v careful_a to_o walk_v with_o god_n in_o that_o particular_a place_n and_o station_n and_o relation_n wherein_o god_n have_v set_v we_o according_a to_o his_o will_n for_o otherwise_o we_o do_v not_o exercise_v faith_n in_o it_o and_o therefore_o when_o a_o man_n be_v lead_v into_o such_o a_o call_v such_o a_o way_n and_o course_n of_o life_n it_o be_v not_o for_o he_o to_o act_v and_o walk_v according_a to_o the_o example_n of_o other_o to_o make_v the_o practice_n of_o other_o his_o rule_n no_o but_o we_o must_v look_v what_o the_o will_n of_o god_n be_v and_o make_v that_o our_o rule_n as_o now_o if_o a_o man_n or_o woman_n be_v bring_v into_o a_o change_n of_o condition_n into_o a_o marry_a condition_n it_o be_v not_o for_o that_o man_n to_o say_v well_o i_o will_v carry_v it_o towards_o my_o wife_n as_o she_o carry_v it_o to_o i_o or_o for_o the_o woman_n to_o say_v i_o will_v carry_v it_o to_o my_o husband_n as_o he_o carry_v it_o to_o i_o no_o this_o be_v not_o a_o rule_n to_o walk_v by_o the_o example_n of_o other_o but_o let_v we_o look_v to_o our_o own_o duty_n what_o the_o will_n of_o god_n be_v concern_v a_o wife_n or_o a_o husband_n remember_v this_o be_v a_o second_o rule_n to_o walk_v in_o our_o particular_a call_n and_o station_n and_o relation_n according_a to_o the_o will_n of_o god_n three_o another_o rule_n and_o direction_n be_v this_o if_o you_o will_v act_v and_o exercise_v faith_n in_o your_o particular_a calling_n then_o be_v frequent_o look_v up_o unto_o the_o lord_n for_o his_o guidance_n and_o help_v and_o assistance_n in_o your_o occasion_n and_o business_n let_v we_o look_v up_o frequent_o to_o the_o lord_n that_o he_o will_v guide_v we_o and_o assist_v we_o and_o help_v we_o for_o we_o must_v have_v strength_n and_o wisdom_n and_o spirit_n and_o grace_n he_o in_o prayer_n by_o this_o mean_v the_o soul_n will_v come_v to_o see_v as_o through_o a_o crevice_n the_o willingness_n of_o god_n to_o hear_v he_o and_o answer_v he_o the_o soul_n may_v possible_o scruple_n and_o question_n but_o if_o i_o pray_v will_v the_o lord_n hear_v i_o but_o if_o the_o soul_n come_v in_o the_o virtue_n of_o a_o promise_n he_o come_v with_o a_o great_a encouragement_n and_o persuasion_n that_o god_n will_v hear_v he_o now_o brethren_n for_o your_o help_n in_o this_o thing_n in_o pray_v by_o virtue_n of_o some_o promise_n understand_v and_o know_v that_o there_o be_v two_o sort_n of_o promise_n there_o be_v some_o more_o general_a promise_n concern_v god_n hear_v prayer_n and_o then_o there_o be_v some_o more_o particular_a promise_n concern_v some_o particular_a mercy_n or_o blessing_n that_o we_o pray_v for_o now_o as_o for_o the_o general_a promise_n the_o scripture_n be_v full_a of_o they_o that_o god_n be_v a_o god_n hear_v prayer_n
