soever_o they_o teach_v it_o be_v a_o conceit_n of_o their_o own_o imagination_n and_o like_a to_o delusion_n not_o unlike_a also_o to_o those_o thing_n that_o be_v see_v through_o a_o lattice_n or_o glass_n which_o resemble_v the_o colour_n of_o the_o clear_a glass_n and_o yet_o in_o deed_n be_v not_o of_o that_o colour_n they_o think_v that_o god_n will_v regard_v they_o when_o they_o live_v so_o before_o man_n as_o it_o seem_v good_a to_o their_o obscure_a opinion_n but_o if_o god_n be_v of_o that_o opinion_n he_o may_v then_o have_v well_o keep_v still_o christ_n and_o the_o gospel_n for_o what_o need_n or_o necessity_n shall_v move_v he_o to_o send_v christ_n from_o heaven_n who_o shall_v purchase_v that_o unto_o we_o with_o his_o precious_a blood_n which_o we_o ourselves_o have_v before_o with_o we_o he_o sure_o shall_v be_v the_o foolish_a of_o all_o man_n which_o will_v pour_v forth_o a_o precious_a treasure_n which_o no_o man_n need_v thus_o thou_o see_v how_o moreover_o paul_n signify_v in_o these_o word_n that_o whosoever_o will_v rejoice_v in_o the_o lord_n by_o faith_n and_o be_v meek_a and_o of_o a_o patient_a mind_n towards_o all_o by_o love_n the_o the_o punishment_n may_v be_v put_v away_o have_v even_o then_o deny_v the_o gospel_n together_o mercy_n and_o merit_n can_v not_o agree_v together_o forasmuch_o as_o these_o two_o can_v not_o agree_v true_a wisdom_n be_v nothing_o else_o but_o the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n prudence_n true_a wisdom_n what_o it_o be_v prudence_n to_o wit_n when_o as_o i_o know_v what_o we_o must_v think_v of_o god_n and_o do_v understand_v his_o will_n but_o prudence_n signify_v ability_n and_o knowledge_n to_o judge_v of_o worldly_a thing_n what_o be_v right_a or_o wrong_n which_o paul_n often_o join_v together_o especial_o in_o his_o epistle_n to_o the_o ephesian_n chap._n 1._o and_o in_o his_o epistle_n to_o the_o colossian_n chap._n 1._o of_o such_o wisdom_n christ_n speak_v not_o here_o but_o of_o worldly_a wisdom_n which_o puff_v up_o man_n and_o exclude_v the_o true_a wisdom_n of_o god_n we_o be_v all_o of_o this_o disposition_n by_o nature_n eftsoon_o to_o rise_v against_o the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n wisdom_n humane_a or_o worldly_a wisdom_n that_o be_v call_v good_a by_o the_o instinct_n of_o humane_a wisdom_n which_o bring_v pleasure_n honour_n and_o profit_n but_o those_o thing_n that_o be_v contrary_a to_o these_o as_o affliction_n dishonour_n loss_n those_o be_v call_v evil_a for_o man_n nature_n can_v seek_v nothing_o else_o at_o all_o but_o those_o thing_n that_o worldly_a wisdom_n seem_v to_o itself_o to_o be_v so_o great_a that_o be_v it_o not_o content_a to_o rule_v only_o these_o worldly_a and_o temporal_a thing_n but_o take_v also_o upon_o itself_o to_o have_v the_o oversight_n of_o heavenly_a thing_n it_o always_o serch_v out_o and_o imagine_v some_o new_a thing_n even_o in_o spiritual_a and_o divine_a matter_n so_o man_v own_o wisdom_n have_v invent_v shave_a crown_n and_o cowl_n &_o almost_o all_o that_o wherein_o the_o papacy_n consist_v every_o one_o have_v choose_v his_o proper_a work_n to_o himself_o this_o man_n have_v invent_v this_o a_o other_o have_v invent_v that_o and_o if_o this_o be_v abolish_v and_o do_v not_o great_o please_v byandby_o they_o find_v out_o some_o other_o thing_n as_o alas_o we_o have_v see_v and_o do_v as_o yet_o see_v neither_o be_v there_o any_o measure_n in_o these_o trifle_n whereupon_o it_o come_v that_o we_o can_v hardly_o away_o with_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o the_o truth_n but_o they_o nothing_o forasmuch_o as_o their_o heart_n be_v not_o touch_v now_o christ_n say_v thus_o verse_n 25._o i_o give_v thou_o thanks_n o_o father_n lord_n of_o heaven_n and_o earth_n because_o thou_o have_v hide_v these_o thing_n from_o the_o wise_a and_o man_n of_o understanding_n and_o have_v open_v they_o unto_o child_n verse_n 26._o it_o be_v so_o o_o father_n because_o thy_o good_a pleasure_n be_v such_o christ_n speak_v not_o here_o of_o very_a child_n there_o may_v be_v some_o notable_a doctor_n who_o he_o call_v a_o child_n in_o this_o place_n contrariwise_o there_o may_v be_v a_o rustical_a fellow_n who_o he_o call_v here_o wise_a and_o prudent_a in_o the_o eight_o psal_n david_n also_o call_v these_o infant_n and_o child_n when_o he_o say_v out_o of_o the_o mouth_n of_o babe_n and_o suckling_n have_v thou_o ordain_v strength_n because_o of_o thy_o enemy_n they_o sure_o by_o who_o god_n ordain_v strength_n against_o his_o enemy_n which_o shall_v extol_v his_o glory_n through_o the_o whole_a world_n be_v not_o babe_n or_o child_n in_o very_a deed_n those_o therefore_o the_o lord_n call_v child_n here_o which_o count_n their_o own_o work_n for_o nothing_o attribute_v nothing_o to_o their_o own_o wisdom_n babe_n who_o the_o lord_n call_v here_o child_n or_o babe_n make_v nothing_o of_o themselves_o but_o think_v god_n only_o to_o be_v wise_a and_o of_o understanding_n wherefore_o they_o be_v humble_a and_o lowly_a and_o how_o great_a soever_o they_o be_v do_v submit_v themselves_o to_o god_n of_o who_o only_o they_o suffer_v themselves_o to_o be_v teach_v now_o other_o be_v over_o wise_a and_o will_v learn_v nothing_o of_o god_n yea_o they_o presumptuous_o take_v to_o themselves_o judgement_n and_o censure_n over_o the_o doctrine_n and_o work_n of_o god_n whereof_o thou_o may_v read_v in_o the_o first_o and_o second_o chapter_n of_o the_o epistle_n to_o the_o corinthian_n wherefore_o christ_n say_v luke_o 16_o the_o child_n of_o this_o world_n be_v in_o their_o generation_n wise_a than_o the_o child_n of_o light_n but_o the_o foolish_a child_n of_o light_n be_v of_o great_a estimation_n before_o god_n than_o the_o wise_a child_n of_o this_o world_n of_o these_o child_n the_o lord_n speak_v thou_o have_v hide_v they_o from_o the_o wise_a and_o man_n of_o understanding_n and_o have_v reveal_v they_o to_o babe_n for_o the_o wise_a and_o prudent_a know_v not_o these_o thing_n but_o the_o child_n and_o fool_n know_v they_o how_o come_v it_o to_o pass_v that_o the_o wise_a know_v they_o not_o because_o thou_o have_v hide_v they_o from_o they_o how_o do_v the_o child_n know_v they_o because_o thou_o have_v reveal_v they_o what_o he_o mean_v hereby_o we_o may_v gather_v of_o those_o thing_n that_o be_v speak_v before_o to_o wit_n that_o he_o have_v preach_v the_o gospel_n of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n in_o many_o city_n of_o judea_n as_o in_o chorazin_n bethsaida_n and_o in_o his_o own_o city_n capernaum_n which_o city_n their_o own_o wisdom_n be_v a_o hindrance_n and_o let_v unto_o they_o do_v not_o receive_v the_o foolish_a preach_n of_o the_o gospel_n the_o gospel_n be_v a_o good_a and_o joyful_a message_n which_o teach_v i_o to_o know_v the_o glory_n of_o god_n by_o which_o knowledge_n i_o obtain_v pardon_n of_o my_o sin_n and_o life_n eternal_a message_n the_o gospel_n a_o joyful_a message_n as_o christ_n say_v to_o his_o father_n in_o the_o gospel_n of_o john_n chap._n 17_o this_o be_v life_n eternal_a that_o they_o know_v thou_o to_o be_v the_o only_a very_a god_n and_o jesus_n christ_n who_o thou_o have_v send_v he_o say_v also_o in_o this_o gospel_n no_o man_n know_v the_o son_n but_o the_o father_n neither_o know_v any_o man_n the_o father_n but_o the_o son_n and_o he_o to_o who_o the_o son_n will_v rereveale_v he_o here_o he_o speak_v of_o the_o knowledge_n both_o of_o the_o father_n and_o of_o the_o son_n to_o who_o this_o be_v reveal_v he_o know_v and_o obtain_v eternal_a life_n but_o the_o father_n have_v hide_v these_o thing_n from_o the_o wise_a and_o prudent_a that_o they_o may_v not_o know_v neither_o the_o father_n nor_o the_o son_n and_o have_v reveal_v they_o to_o child_n they_o have_v the_o knowledge_n both_o of_o the_o father_n and_o the_o son_n and_o so_o do_v obtain_v everlasting_a life_n moreover_o if_o these_o thing_n be_v thus_o as_o they_o be_v in_o deed_n what_o shall_v become_v of_o free_a will_n see_v thou_o see_v such_o heinous_a and_o wicked_a thing_n to_o be_v commit_v in_o the_o body_n as_o it_o be_v write_v rom._n 1._o go_v thy_o way_n now_o and_o glory_n of_o free_a will_n but_o this_o be_v a_o goodly_a free_a will_n to_o live_v in_o such_o a_o filthy_a life_n which_o be_v altogether_o unworthy_a of_o a_o man_n which_o be_v unknowen_a even_o among_o beast_n that_o be_v without_o reason_n howbeit_o it_o be_v wont_v so_o to_o come_v to_o pass_v when_o god_n forsake_v us._n forsake_v what_o state_n they_o come_v into_o who_o god_n forsake_v as_o
