even_o as_o it_o be_v impossible_a to_o separate_v heat_n and_o burn_a from_o the_o fire_n therefore_o take_v heed_n to_o thyself_o and_o beware_v of_o thy_o own_o fantasy_n and_o imagination_n that_o be_v the_o child_n of_o god_n yet_o we_o be_v not_o justify_v by_o they_o no_o nor_o by_o faith_n as_o of_o it_o own_o virtue_n othervise_v then_o instrumental_o as_o apprehend_v the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n which_o be_v without_o we_o and_o be_v no_o otherwise_o we_o then_o by_o imputation_n for_o as_o a_o good_a tree_n have_v good_a fruit_n necessary_o so_o have_v a_o right_a faith_n good_a life_n and_o good_a work_n but_o then_o good_a work_n though_o they_o be_v not_o separate_v from_o faith_n yet_o they_o be_v separate_v from_o be_v any_o cause_n of_o justification_n with_o faith_n as_o the_o apostle_n saint_n paul_n make_v diverse_a and_o sundry_a argument_n for_o the_o proof_n thereof_o as_o in_o the_o 3._o to_o the_o rom_n 20.21.22_o etc._n etc._n where_o he_o testify_v that_o by_o the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n no_o flesh_n can_v be_v justify_v in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n for_o by_o the_o law_n come_v the_o knowledge_n of_o sin_n but_o now_o say_v he_o be_v the_o righteousness_n of_o god_n make_v manifest_a without_o the_o law_n have_v witness_n of_o the_o law_n and_o the_o prophet_n to_o wit_n the_o righteousness_n of_o god_n by_o faith_n affirm_v with_o a_o conclusion_n we_o hold_v that_o a_o man_n be_v justify_v by_o say_v without_o the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n again_o know_v this_o that_o a_o man_n be_v not_o justify_v by_o that_o god_n do_v not_o command_v man_n to_o be_v godly_a only_o because_o it_o make_v for_o his_o glory_n but_o because_o godliness_n be_v profitable_a to_o us._n also_o for_o godliness_n be_v not_o call_v gain_n in_o respect_n of_o god_n but_o in_o respect_n of_o we_o it_o be_v gain_v to_o we_o but_o it_o be_v duty_n to_o he_o so_o it_o be_v not_o call_v a_o health_n in_o respect_n of_o we_o show_v that_o the_o godly_a be_v as_o well_o as_o merry_a as_o content_v with_o their_o love_n towards_o god_n and_o god_n love_n towards_o they_o as_o other_o be_v with_o health_n and_o wealth_n and_o pleasure_n therefore_o it_o be_v say_v of_o the_o godly_a the_o fear_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v their_o treasure_n but_o the_o riches_n of_o the_o world_n be_v call_v earthly_a transitory_a snare_n dung_n as_o though_o they_o be_v not_o worthy_a to_o be_v count_v riches_n and_o therefore_o to_o draw_v the_o earnest_a love_n of_o man_n from_o they_o the_o holy_a ghost_n bring_v they_o great_a riches_n heavenly_a riches_n unsearchable_a riches_n everlasting_a riches_n with_o all_o the_o name_n of_o pleasure_n and_o all_o the_o name_n of_o happiness_n the_o worldly_a man_n have_v a_o kind_n of_o peace_n and_o joy_n and_o riches_n but_o it_o can_v be_v call_v great_a because_o they_o have_v not_o enough_o they_o be_v not_o content_a as_o the_o godly_a be_v therefore_o godliness_n have_v his_o honour_n to_o be_v call_v great_a gain_n riches_n make_v bate_v but_o godliness_n make_v peace_n riches_n breed_v covetousness_n but_o godliness_n bring_v contentation_n riches_n make_v a_o man_n unwilling_a to_o die_v but_o godliness_n make_v a_o man_n ready_a to_o die_v therefore_o only_a godliness_n have_v this_o honour_n to_o be_v call_v great_a riches_n such_o joy_n such_o godliness_n because_o it_o be_v not_o possible_a for_o a_o wicked_a man_n to_o be_v content_v but_o the_o godly_a man_n have_v find_v that_o which_o all_o the_o world_n do_v seek_v that_o be_v enough_o it_o be_v seldom_o see_v that_o contentation_n be_v find_v in_o riches_n therefore_o the_o apostle_n teach_v we_o to_o seek_v it_o in_o godliness_n say_v godliness_n be_v great_a riches_n and_o this_o riches_n the_o world_n seldom_o think_v of_o but_o when_o godliness_n come_v unto_o a_o man_n it_o say_v peace_n be_v in_o this_o house_n peace_n be_v in_o this_o heart_n peace_n be_v in_o this_o man_n and_o this_o be_v the_o sign_n whether_o godliness_n be_v in_o a_o man_n if_o he_o have_v joy_n and_o contentment_n with_o that_o he_o have_v if_o he_o have_v much_o he_o can_v say_v countenance_n be_v not_o change_v because_o he_o remember_v that_o these_o thing_n be_v give_v he_o to_o do_v good_a such_o a_o commander_n be_v contentation_n that_o wheresoever_o she_o set_v foot_n a_o hundred_o blessing_n wait_v upon_o she_o in_o every_o disease_n she_o be_v a_o physician_n in_o every_o strife_n she_o be_v a_o lawyer_n in_o every_o doubt_n she_o be_v a_o preacher_n in_o every_o godliness_n and_o the_o fruit_n of_o covetousness_n for_o if_o we_o be_v covetous_a we_o shall_v never_o have_v enough_o although_o we_o have_v too_o much_o but_o if_o we_o be_v godly_a we_o shall_v have_v enough_o though_o we_o seem_v to_o have_v nothing_o therefore_o what_o counsel_n be_v there_o to_o be_v take_v herein_o but_o as_o our_o lord_n jesus_n counsel_v his_o disciple_n be_v not_o friend_n to_o riches_n but_o make_v you_o friend_n of_o riches_n and_o know_v this_o that_o if_o we_o can_v say_v with_o saint_n paul_n in_o what_o estate_n soever_o we_o be_v in_o we_o have_v learn_v
