as_o we_o foolish_o misplace_v it_o it_o prove_v often_o full_a of_o bitterness_n but_o be_v set_v upon_o jesus_n christ_n the_o only_a right_n and_o worthy_a object_n it_o cause_v this_o far_o the_o sweet_a for_o thing_n lawful_a in_o themselves_o be_v in_o their_o excess_n sinful_a and_o so_o prove_v bitterness_n in_o the_o end_n and_o if_o in_o some_o case_n it_o require_v the_o forsake_v of_o lawful_a enjoyment_n as_o of_o pleasure_n or_o profit_n or_o honour_n for_o god_n and_o for_o his_o glory_n this_o be_v generous_a and_o true_o more_o delightful_a to_o deny_v they_o for_o this_o reason_n then_o to_o enjoy_v they_o man_n have_v do_v much_o this_o way_n for_o the_o love_n of_o their_o country_n and_o by_o a_o principle_n of_o moral_a virtue_n but_o to_o lose_v any_o delight_n or_o to_o suffer_v any_o hardship_n for_o that_o high_a end_n the_o glory_n of_o god_n and_o by_o the_o strength_n of_o love_n to_o he_o be_v far_o more_o excellent_a and_o true_o they_o know_v well_o that_o the_o thing_n they_o prophesy_v be_v not_o to_o be_v fulfil_v in_o their_o own_o time_n and_o therefore_o in_o their_o prophesy_v concern_v they_o though_o both_o themselves_o and_o people_n of_o god_n that_o be_v contemporary_a with_o they_o do_v reap_v the_o comfort_n of_o that_o doctrine_n and_o be_v by_o faith_n partaker_n of_o the_o same_o salvation_n and_o so_o it_o be_v to_o themselves_o as_o well_o as_o to_o we_o yet_o in_o regard_n of_o the_o accomplishment_n they_o know_v it_o be_v not_o to_o themselves_o it_o be_v not_o to_o be_v bring_v to_o to_o other_o and_o eat_v none_o of_o it_o themselves_o and_o this_o the_o apostle_n say_v that_o he_o be_v most_o careful_a to_o avoid_v and_o therefore_o deal_v severe_o with_o his_o body_n that_o it_o may_v not_o this_o way_n endanger_v his_o soul._n i_o beat_v down_o my_o body_n say_v he_o and_o keep_v it_o in_o subjection_n lest_o when_o i_o have_v preach_v to_o other_o i_o myself_o shall_v a_o form_n of_o godliness_n be_v all_o they_o have_v for_o religion_n alas_o we_o speak_v of_o holiness_n and_o we_o hear_v of_o it_o and_o it_o may_v be_v we_o commend_v it_o but_o we_o act_v it_o not_o or_o if_o we_o do_v it_o be_v but_o act_v of_o it_o in_o that_o sense_n the_o word_n be_v take_v for_o a_o personate_a act_v as_o on_o a_o stage_n in_o the_o sight_n of_o man_n not_o as_o in_o this_o fear_n be_v twofold_a 1._o their_o relation_n to_o god_n 2._o their_o relation_n to_o the_o world_n first_o to_o god_n as_o their_o father_n as_o their_o judge_n because_o you_o do_v call_v he_o father_n and_o profess_v yourselves_o his_o child_n beget_v again_o by_o he_o for_o this_o look_n back_o to_o that_o it_o become_v you_o as_o obedient_a child_n to_o stand_v in_o awe_n and_o fear_v to_o offend_v he_o your_o father_n and_o a_o father_n so_o full_a of_o goodness_n and_o tender_a love_n but_o as_o he_o be_v the_o best_a father_n so_o consider_v that_o he_o be_v withal_o the_o great_a and_o just_a judge_n judge_n according_a to_o every_o man_n work_n god_n always_o see_v and_o discern_v man_n and_o all_o their_o work_n and_o judge_v that_o be_v account_v of_o they_o as_o they_o be_v and_o sometime_o in_o this_o life_n declare_v this_o his_o judgement_n of_o they_o to_o their_o own_o conscience_n and_o in_o some_o to_o the_o view_n of_o other_o in_o visible_a punshment_n and_o reward_n but_o the_o most_o solemn_a judgement_n of_o all_o be_v reserve_v to_o that_o great_a day_n which_o he_o have_v appoint_v wherein_o he_o will_v judge_v the_o world_n in_o righteousness_n by_o his_o son_n jesus_n act._n 17_o 32._o there_o be_v here_o the_o sovereignty_n of_o this_o judge_n the_o universality_n of_o his_o judgement_n and_o the_o equity_n of_o it_o all_o father_n but_o if_o you_o live_v devoid_a of_o his_o fear_n and_o be_v disobedient_a child_n he_o will_v not_o spare_v you_o because_o of_o that_o relation_n but_o rather_o punish_v you_o the_o more_o severe_o because_o you_o pretend_v to_o be_v his_o child_n and_o yet_o obey_v he_o not_o therefore_o you_o shall_v find_v he_o your_o judge_n and_o a_o impartial_a judge_n of_o your_o work_n remember_v therefore_o that_o your_o father_n be_v this_o judge_n and_o fear_v to_o offend_v he_o but_o then_o indeed_o a_o believer_n may_v look_v back_o to_o the_o other_o for_o comfort_n that_o
