picture_n and_o not_o paint_v on_o a_o wooden_a cross_n as_o the_o papist_n do_v we_o may_v behold_v christ_n crucify_v and_o his_o blood_n shed_v for_o our_o sin_n so_o often_o as_o we_o see_v the_o bread_n break_v and_o the_o wine_n pour_v out_o so_o often_o as_o you_o do_v it_o 11._o 1._o cor._n 11._o do_v it_o in_o remembrance_n of_o i_o to_o show_v forth_o my_o death_n till_o i_o come_v for_o the_o remembrance_n of_o christ_n sacrifice_n it_o be_v a_o sweet_a comfort_n to_o all_o wound_a and_o distress_a soul_n it_o be_v sack_n and_o sugar_n to_o they_o all_o that_o true_o believe_v in_o those_o that_o care_v not_o for_o come_v to_o the_o sacrament_n nor_o yet_o for_o the_o word_n wherein_o christ_n be_v lively_o crucify_v they_o show_v they_o have_v no_o benefit_n by_o this_o sacrifice_n of_o christ_n verse_n 17._o 17._o the_o sacrifice_n of_o god_n be_v a_o contrite_a spirit_n a_o contrite_a and_o break_a heart_n o_o god_n thou_o will_v not_o despise_v david_n have_v show_v what_o be_v those_o sacrifice_n wherein_o the_o lord_n god_n have_v no_o pleasure_n namely_o such_o as_o man_n shall_v offer_v with_o hope_n to_o merit_n or_o without_o faith_n and_o the_o heart_n of_o sinner_n first_o the_o sight_n of_o sin_n and_o knowledge_n of_o our_o misery_n by_o reason_n thereof_o second_o the_o endless_a mercy_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n so_o as_o it_o cut_v we_o at_o the_o heart_n to_o remember_v that_o we_o have_v offend_v so_o good_a and_o merciful_a a_o father_n doctrine_n find_v break_a hart_n most_o rare_a thing_n to_o be_v find_v see_v this_o with_o self-love_n that_o they_o see_v nothing_o or_o feel_v nothing_o to_o humble_v they_o or_o to_o bruise_v their_o stony_a heart_n but_o be_v like_o the_o church_n of_o ephesus_n for_o this_o be_v ever_o a_o fellow_n of_o hardness_n of_o heart_n 4.18_o reu._n 3_o 14â—_n eph_n 4.18_o and_o cause_n of_o all_o ignorance_n of_o our_o misery_n man_n be_v like_o those_o that_o be_v sick_a of_o the_o 1_o see_v that_o this_o break_a heart_n be_v so_o rare_a and_o hard_a to_o be_v find_v and_o the_o hard_a heart_n be_v so_o common_a and_o so_o dangerous_a a_o forerunner_n to_o hell_n o_o let_v we_o look_v to_o ourselves_o how_o we_o find_v our_o heart_n break_v and_o bruise_v with_o the_o sense_n of_o sin_n mourn_v for_o they_o and_o bewail_v they_o alas_o it_o be_v wonderful_a to_o see_v poor_a soul_n how_o man_n lie_v in_o sin_n see_v nothing_o and_o fear_v nothing_o nor_o complain_v of_o nothing_o man_n can_v complain_v of_o the_o stone_n in_o the_o reins_n and_o cry_v out_o for_o grief_n but_o no_o man_n complain_v of_o the_o stone_n in_o the_o heart_n they_o feel_v no_o such_o grief_n though_o it_o be_v deadly_a and_o dangerous_a and_o if_o thou_o find_v thy_o hart_n harden_v so_o as_o thou_o be_v not_o touch_v and_o trouble_v with_o the_o sight_n of_o sin_n of_o god_n vengeance_n of_o hell_n and_o damnation_n that_o thou_o can_v not_o mourn_v for_o they_o that_o thou_o fear_v not_o god_n judgement_n and_o be_v not_o affect_v with_o his_o mercy_n to_o mourn_v for_o thy_o sin_n o_o know_v that_o thy_o state_n be_v fearful_a and_o miserable_a thou_o be_v in_o extreme_a hard-hearted_a and_o the_o more_o hard-hearted_a the_o more_o proud_a and_o therefore_o if_o thy_o heart_n be_v humble_v indeed_o bruise_v for_o sin_n there_o will_v follow_v a_o very_a low_a and_o and_o the_o meaning_n be_v this_o to_o show_v that_o a_o heart_n break_a and_o bruise_v for_o sin_n be_v in_o stead_n of_o all_o other_o sacrifice_n whatsoever_o and_o let_v man_n offer_v what_o sacrifice_n they_o will_v never_o so_o many_o costly_a or_o excellent_a yet_o if_o this_o be_v want_v it_o be_v but_o in_o vain_a god_n esteem_v not_o of_o it_o one_o break_a heart_n be_v more_o worth_a than_o a_o thousand_o sacrifice_n of_o great_a price_n instruct._n this_o may_v admonish_v every_o one_o to_o take_v heed_n that_o we_o do_v not_o present_v the_o lord_n with_o any_o other_o
