for_o absolom_n and_o give_v such_o a_o bad_a example_n to_o the_o people_n 2._o exhort_v and_o counsel_v he_o to_o arise_v and_o go_v forth_o and_o to_o speak_v comfortable_o to_o the_o people_n and_o 3._o threaten_v he_o if_o he_o do_v not_o so_o that_o he_o shall_v be_v desert_v by_o all_o the_o people_n speedy_o and_o that_o shall_v be_v a_o worse_a evil_n to_o he_o than_o all_o the_o evil_a that_o have_v befall_v he_o from_o his_o youth_n till_o then_o in_o his_o reprehension_n of_o david_n he_o upbraid_v he_o 1._o with_o ingratitude_n that_o in_o place_n of_o honour_v or_o reward_v his_o servant_n who_o have_v save_v his_o life_n and_o the_o life_n of_o his_o son_n his_o daughter_n his_o wife_n and_o concubine_n he_o have_v shame_v they_o by_o mourn_v for_o a_o traitor_n who_o seek_v his_o life_n and_o the_o life_n of_o his_o servant_n and_o therefore_o have_v just_o suffer_v and_o for_o which_o fact_n they_o need_v not_o to_o be_v ashamed_a as_o it_o seem_v he_o will_v have_v they_o 2._o he_o upbraid_v he_o with_o the_o great_a iniquity_n that_o can_v be_v that_o he_o hate_v his_o friend_n and_o love_v his_o enemy_n which_o may_v be_v a_o sufficient_a ground_n hereafter_o to_o any_o not_o to_o prove_v his_o friend_n as_o they_o have_v former_o do_v hazard_v their_o life_n and_o fortune_n for_o he_o but_o to_o prove_v his_o enemy_n 3._o he_o labour_v to_o prove_v the_o truth_n thereof_o by_o david_n so_o bitter_a mourning_n for_o absolom_n whereby_o he_o declare_v that_o he_o regard_v not_o his_o prince_n or_o servant_n who_o rather_o he_o shall_v have_v cheerful_o welcome_v from_o the_o battle_n thank_v or_o reward_v than_o withdraw_v himself_o from_o they_o and_o mourn_v for_o a_o traitor_n 4._o he_o upbraid_v he_o with_o a_o preposterous_a and_o wrong_a choice_n or_o election_n rather_o of_o absoloms_n life_n though_o they_o all_o have_v die_v the_o last_o whereof_o have_v please_v he_o better_o than_o the_o death_n of_o absolom_n 5._o unto_o this_o he_o therefore_o subjoin_v his_o advice_n and_o exhortation_n that_o david_n go_v forth_o show_v himself_o cheerful_a for_o the_o victory_n and_o speak_v comfortable_o to_o his_o servant_n which_o if_o he_o obey_v not_o by_o a_o argument_n ab_fw-la incommodo_fw-la he_o threaten_v he_o with_o a_o speedy_a and_o total_a desertion_n of_o all_o the_o people_n and_o army_n which_o he_o have_v under_o his_o charge_n and_o have_v hazard_v so_o for_o he_o which_o will_v prove_v the_o great_a evil_n that_o ever_o as_o yet_o have_v befall_v he_o whereupon_o david_n be_v move_v to_o do_v as_o joab_n have_v advise_v he_o come_v forth_o to_o public_a view_n in_o the_o most_o public_a place_n of_o the_o city_n the_o gate_n thereof_o which_o when_o the_o people_n hear_v theâ—_n they_o flock_v and_o resort_v unto_o he_o follow_v next_o the_o strife_n that_o be_v throughout_o all_o the_o tribe_n of_o israel_n that_o have_v adhear_v to_o absolom_n before_o and_o be_v now_o defeat_v be_v â—led_v every_o man_n to_o his_o tent_n concern_v the_o reduction_n and_o restitution_n of_o david_n to_o which_o they_o who_o be_v for_o he_o labour_v to_o persuade_v the_o rest_n 1._o from_o the_o benefit_n which_o they_o have_v former_o receive_v from_o he_o and_o whereof_o without_o
