distraction_n that_o he_o may_v not_o as_o before_o serve_v god_n
on_o earth_n too_o it_o be_v enough_o for_o poor_a lazarus_n to_o have_v his_o good_a thing_n hereafter_o and_o enough_o for_o rich_a dives_n to_o have_v his_o proportion_n of_o good_a thing_n here_o but_o the_o good_a man_n i_o speak_v of_o will_n needs_o be_v happy_a than_o lazarus_n and_o yet_o much_o rich_a than_o dives_n too_o they_o will_v have_v their_o good_a thing_n as_o well_o in_o this_o as_o another_o world_n all_o the_o subject_n of_o their_o inquiry_n be_v not_o how_o to_o be_v better_a than_o other_o man_n in_o act_n of_o justice_n and_o work_v of_o mercy_n but_o how_o to_o be_v great_a and_o more_o regard_v which_o be_v call_v a_o be_v better_a in_o point_n of_o quality_n and_o degree_n and_o after_o these_o very_a thing_n do_v the_o gentile_n seek_v they_o of_o java_n and_o the_o molucco_n they_o of_o tartary_n and_o china_n whether_o as_o greedy_o as_o christian_n i_o can_v tell_v but_o our_o saviour_n speak_v only_o of_o food_n and_o raiment_n as_o of_o thing_n which_o the_o gentile_n be_v wont_a to_o seek_v and_o well_o it_o be_v for_o real_a christian_n if_o nominal_a christian_n will_v seek_v no_o more_o if_o food_n and_o raiment_n will_v serve_v the_o turn_n christian_n then_o like_o other_o creature_n may_v quiet_o live_v by_o one_o another_o but_o it_o seem_v they_o have_v no_o more_o than_o the_o name_n of_o christian_n who_o chief_o seek_v with_o the_o gentile_n the_o low_a concernment_n of_o the_o flesh._n for_o as_o many_o as_o be_v christian_n in_o very_o good_a earnest_n will_v bestow_v themselves_o in_o seek_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n and_o the_o righteousness_n thereof_o suppose_v such_o thing_n as_o these_o will_v be_v add_v to_o the_o rest_n as_o a_o good_a appendix_n man_n not_o live_v by_o bread_n alone_o as_o our_o saviour_n say_v to_o satan_n but_o by_o bread_n as_o it_o be_v bless_v by_o the_o good_a word_n of_o god_n nor_o indeed_o be_v he_o worthy_a to_o live_v by_o bread_n who_o be_v not_o able_a to_o live_v without_o it_o who_o be_v not_o able_a to_o subsist_v upon_o better_a thing_n when_o we_o reckon_v food_n and_o raiment_n among_o the_o necessary_n of_o life_n which_o we_o do_v with_o good_a reason_n we_o only_o speak_v of_o such_o a_o painful_a and_o die_a life_n as_o be_v not_o worthy_a our_o care_v for_o unless_o in_o order_n to_o life_n aeternal_a and_o for_o the_o nourish_a of_o that_o the_o very_a famish_v of_o the_o body_n may_v pass_v for_o bernard_n food_n unto_o the_o soul_n from_o all_o which_o together_o it_o seem_v to_o follow_v that_o they_o who_o arrogate_v to_o themselves_o not_o only_o the_o great_a both_o faith_n and_o hope_n but_o the_o perfect_a assurance_n of_o life_n aeternal_a do_v prove_v themselves_o unaware_o the_o great_a infidel_n in_o the_o thing_n which_o be_v quick_o talk_v of_o nor_o be_v there_o any_o so_o uncivil_a as_o not_o to_o afford_v it_o a_o friendly_a mention_n it_o be_v no_o hard_a thing_n to_o be_v another_o man_n flatterer_n much_o less_o be_v it_o difficult_a to_o be_v one_o own_o to_o be_v secure_a and_o praesumptuous_a be_v cheap_a and_o easy_a yea_o it_o be_v pleasant_a to_o flesh_n and_o blood_n to_o be_v carnal_o set_v free_a from_o that_o fear_n and_o tremble_a wherewith_o a_o man_n be_v to_o work_v out_o his_o own_o salvation_n thence_o it_o be_v that_o we_o abound_v with_o such_o a_o herd_n of_o fiduciaries_n and_o solifidian_o who_o have_v persuade_v themselves_o to_o fancy_n that_o life_n eternal_a be_v a_o thing_n which_o can_v possible_o escape_v they_o and_o that_o all_o the_o next_o world_n be_v irresistible_o their_o own_o they_o think_v they_o have_v nothing_o to_o do_v in_o this_o but_o to_o make_v a_o trial_n whether_o it_o have_v not_o be_v decree_v that_o all_o shall_v be_v they_o that_o they_o can_v get_v and_o whether_o it_o have_v not_o be_v decree_v that_o they_o shall_v get_v all_o they_o try_v for_o and_o whether_o it_o have_v not_o be_v decree_v that_o they_o shall_v try_v to_o get_v all._n when_o man_n be_v season_v with_o such_o a_o principle_n they_o can_v think_v it_o concern_v they_o to_o give_v all_o diligence_n for_o the_o make_n of_o their_o call_v somewhat_o else_o for_o let_v they_o say_v what_o they_o will_v and_o let_v they_o think_v what_o they_o please_v and_o let_v they_o do_v what_o they_o can_v they_o can_v possible_o give_v diligence_n to_o seek_v a_o thing_n in_o their_o possession_n or_o to_o secure_v what_o they_o believe_v it_o be_v impossible_a for_o they_o to_o lose_v no_o man_n live_a will_v light_v a_o candle_n to_o look_v about_o for_o those_o eye_n which_o he_o believe_v be_v in_o his_o head_n nor_o will_v he_o search_v after_o his_o head_n which_o be_v he_o doubt_v not_o upon_o his_o shoulder_n our_o saviour_n two_o
