may_v receive_v reprehension_n from_o our_o saviour_n 29_o because_o thou_o have_v see_v i_o thou_o have_v believe_v bless_a be_v they_o that_o have_v not_o see_v and_o yet_o have_v believe_v second_o mere_a titular_a christian_n but_o in_o very_a deed_n hypocrite_n who_o build_v their_o faith_n upon_o the_o sandy_a foundation_n of_o their_o own_o repentance_n effectus_fw-la humiliation_n and_o such_o other_o like_o qualification_n though_o they_o say_v and_o perhaps_o think_v otherwise_o and_o then_o no_o wonder_n if_o when_o their_o foundation_n be_v remove_v 27._o their_o faith_n fail_v and_o they_o fall_v but_o if_o it_o be_v inquire_v what_o the_o difference_n be_v between_o a_o weak_a member_n of_o christ_n and_o a_o hypocrite_n i_o answer_v the_o weak_a member_n of_o christ_n have_v another_o secret_a frame_n of_o grace_n in_o he_o which_o will_v not_o suffer_v he_o to_o rest_v upon_o this_o rot_a foundation_n the_o spirit_n of_o god_n blow_v upon_o he_o and_o give_v he_o to_o see_v that_o this_o way_n of_o the_o flesh_n will_v fail_v he_o and_o at_o last_o pitch_v he_o absolute_o upon_o christ_n and_o lead_v the_o poor_a soul_n to_o lay_v hold_n upon_o the_o word_n of_o other_o that_o go_v but_o according_a to_o the_o appearance_n yet_o there_o be_v no_o spiritual_a life_n nor_o christ_n form_v in_o such_o a_o soul_n there_o can_v be_v neither_o any_o right_a spiritual_a enjoyment_n of_o christ_n nor_o solid_a communion_n with_o god_n in_o he_o though_o all_o the_o change_n of_o the_o spirit_n may_v seem_v to_o be_v there_o to_o such_o a_o carnal_a formal_o deceive_v heart_n he_o may_v repent_v as_o ahab_n 27._o he_o may_v joy_v in_o the_o gospel_n ordinance_n and_o have_v a_o kind_n of_o reform_v with_o herod_n there_o may_v be_v in_o he_o a_o kind_n of_o faith_n as_o in_o those_o that_o believe_v mention_v in_o the_o parable_n but_o in_o time_n of_o temptation_n fall_v away_o 22._o there_o may_v be_v a_o frequent_v of_o the_o word_n preach_v as_o appear_v by_o those_o that_o say_v unto_o our_o saviour_n have_v we_o not_o eat_v and_o drink_v in_o thy_o presence_n and_o thou_o teach_v in_o our_o street_n there_o may_v be_v a_o jesus_n and_o other_o foundation_n can_v no_o man_n lay_v 11._o and_o therefore_o it_o be_v no_o matter_n of_o admiration_n if_o like_o wander_a star_n and_o cloud_n that_o have_v no_o water_n 13_o such_o be_v ever_o roll_v up_o and_o down_o 24_o and_o never_o establish_v he_o dare_v not_o reckon_v with_o his_o conscience_n 7._o for_o the_o blood_n of_o sprinkle_v be_v not_o there_o and_o of_o the_o heavenly_a gift_n but_o be_v indeed_o dead_a and_o senseless_a yea_o absolute_o void_a of_o spiritual_a life_n and_o may_v not_o unfit_o be_v compare_v to_o that_o statue_n of_o a_o man_n which_o they_o say_v albertus_n magnus_n be_v thirty_o year_n about_o that_o by_o reason_n of_o spring_n and_o device_n within_o can_v walk_v up_o and_o down_o and_o speak_v articulate_o which_o still_o be_v void_a of_o life_n so_o here_o etc._n etc._n some_o spring_n within_o result_v from_o self-love_n some_o scrne_n of_o ostentation_n may_v produce_v in_o the_o hypocrite_n speech_n and_o motion_n in_o the_o way_n of_o god_n but_o be_v destitute_a of_o spiritual_a life_n must_v needs_o be_v void_a of_o spiritual_a sense_n and_o consequent_o of_o those_o soul_n satisfy_v ravish_a and_o transform_a taste_n and_o relish_v of_o the_o goodness_n of_o god_n which_o the_o saint_n enjoy_v and_o thus_o although_o he_o may_v ascend_v many_o round_n in_o jacob_n ladder_n the_o great_a at_o last_n will_v his_o fall_n into_o utter_a darkness_n be_v if_o the_o lord_n give_v not_o repentance_n but_o inasmuch_o as_o the_o child_n of_o god_n and_o a_o hypocrite_n both_o stand_v for_o repentance_n it_o may_v be_v inquire_v what_o the_o difference_n be_v between_o the_o repentance_n of_o the_o one_o and_o of_o the_o other_o i_o shall_v only_o instance_n a_o few_o of_o the_o difference_n instead_o of_o many_o more_o that_o may_v be_v insist_v upon_o 1._o that_o which_o turn_v a_o hypocrite_n from_o his_o sin_n cause_v he_o to_o grieve_v and_o mourn_v for_o it_o be_v sense_n and_o feel_n of_o the_o power_n of_o the_o work_n of_o grace_n upon_o thou_o and_o of_o thy_o inability_n to_o subdue_v thy_o passion_n and_o corruption_n declare_v a_o weakness_n of_o grace_n and_o not_o a_o defect_n of_o the_o truth_n grace_n in_o the_o soul_n if_o thou_o do_v what_o thou_o will_v not_o mind_n what_o paul_n say_v end_n that_o which_o i_o do_v i_o allow_v not_o for_o
