say_v that_o the_o spirit_n do_v not_o witness_v these_o to_o any_o man_n before_o and_o without_o faith_n but_o yet_o it_o be_v without_o respect_n unto_o or_o show_v a_o man_n his_o faith_n for_o those_o that_o exclude_v sanctification_n from_o be_v any_o evidence_n they_o mean_v faith_n as_o well_o as_o any_o other_o renew_v work_n of_o holiness_n and_o so_o exclude_v that_o also_o than_o i_o say_v the_o testimony_n of_o the_o spirit_n which_o of_o itself_o be_v exceed_v clear_a be_v a_o obscure_a and_o dark_a testimony_n because_o it_o clear_v up_o the_o predicate_a of_o this_o proposition_n thou_o believer_n be_v justify_v it_o witness_v to_o a_o man_n thou_o be_v justify_v but_o clear_v not_o up_o the_o subject_n of_o it_o viz._n thou_o believer_n it_o make_v a_o man_n believe_v a_o testimony_n without_o understand_v the_o full_a meaning_n of_o it_o for_o the_o spirit_n testify_v to_o any_o man_n thou_o be_v justify_v his_o meaning_n be_v thou_o believer_n be_v justify_v and_o i_o do_v beseech_v the_o god_n and_o father_n of_o all_o light_n that_o his_o poor_a people_n may_v be_v lead_v into_o the_o truth_n in_o this_o particular_a for_o want_v of_o establishment_n here_o you_o little_o think_v how_o many_o delusion_n you_o may_v fall_v into_o about_o your_o spiritual_a condition_n i_o remember_v that_o when_o satan_n come_v to_o overthrow_v cause_n the_o meritorious_a cause_n be_v christ_n righteousness_n and_o the_o instrumental_a cause_n of_o apply_v this_o be_v our_o faith_n so_o that_o as_o we_o be_v justify_v by_o faith_n so_o see_v this_o we_o may_v say_v assure_o with_o paul_n be_v justify_v by_o faith_n we_o have_v peace_n with_o god_n rom._n 5.1_o it_o be_v true_a we_o can_v see_v our_o justification_n by_o say_v nor_o the_o work_n of_o faith_n without_o the_o shine_a of_o the_o spirit_n into_o our_o heart_n but_o the_o question_n be_v not_o whether_o the_o spirit_n help_v we_o to_o see_v our_o justify_v estate_n but_o therefore_o believe_v but_o if_o thou_o believe_v and_o come_v to_o christ_n here_o be_v then_o pardon_v of_o sin_n peace_n with_o god_n yea_o all_o the_o blessing_n of_o christ_n ready_a for_o thou_o which_o god_n intend_v to_o give_v and_o never_o to_o take_v away_o if_o thou_o thankful_o receive_v what_o god_n free_o offer_v and_o as_o it_o be_v lay_n down_o at_o thy_o foot_n the_o call_n of_o christ_n therefore_o be_v the_o ground_n by_o which_o we_o first_o believe_v and_o that_o you_o may_v be_v confirm_v far_o herein_o do_v but_o consider_v the_o glory_n and_o excellency_n of_o this_o ground_n it_o be_v a_o constant_a ground_n of_o faith_n for_o if_o you_o come_v to_o christ_n because_o you_o have_v assurance_n or_o because_o you_o feel_v such_o and_o such_o grace_n and_o heavenly_a impression_n of_o god_n spirit_n in_o you_o you_o may_v then_o many_o a_o day_n and_o year_n keep_v at_o a_o distance_n from_o christ_n and_o live_v without_o christ_n for_o the_o feel_n of_o grace_n and_o assurance_n of_o favour_n be_v not_o constant_a but_o this_o call_n be_v always_o sound_v in_o thy_o year_n oh_o come_v not_o only_o because_o thou_o feel_v holiness_n in_o thou_o but_o come_v because_o poor_a hungry_a empty_a naked_a lose_v blind_a curse_a forsake_a full_a of_o sin_n there_o be_v not_o one_o moment_n of_o the_o day_n of_o grace_n but_o the_o lord_n beseech_v may_v presume_v they_o see_v themselves_o most_o vile_a and_o unworthy_a of_o the_o least_o smile_n the_o benefit_n be_v so_o exceed_o great_a to_o which_o they_o be_v call_v that_o they_o think_v it_o be_v too_o good_a for_o they_o etc._n etc._n but_o belove_v when_o the_o soul_n see_v evident_o the_o lord_n invite_v i_o persuade_v i_o command_v i_o wait_v for_o i_o strive_v with_o i_o that_o i_o will_v come_v in_o and_o because_o his_o grace_n be_v free_a therefore_o require_v no_o more_o but_o only_o to_o come_v &_o take_v come_v and_o drink_v this_o force_v the_o soul_n to_o confess_v i_o be_o sure_a it_o be_v no_o presumption_n to_o obey_v the_o call_n of_o christ_n and_o what_o though_o i_o be_o unworthy_a and_o this_o good_a be_v exceed_o great_a and_o precious_a yet_o if_o it_o be_v the_o lord_n grace_n to_o call_v such_o a_o poor_a wretch_n to_o receive_v and_o accept_v of_o it_o why_o shall_v i_o not_o rather_o thankful_o receive_v it_o than_o out_o of_o my_o own_o head_n superstitious_o refuse_v it_o but_o this_o i_o be_o sure_a and_o certain_a of_o the_o lord_n call_v i_o thus_o to_o do_v if_o god_n shall_v speak_v from_o heaven_n to_o you_o to_o come_v unto_o his_o son_n it_o be_v not_o so_o sure_a a_o ground_n as_o the_o call_v of_o god_n from_o out_o of_o the_o oracle_n of_o his_o word_n in_o the_o bless_a gospel_n of_o his_o dear_a son_n it_o be_v a_o
