faithful_a and_o unsained_a kind_n of_o worship_n and_o therefore_o as_o at_o all_o other_o time_n he_o require_v the_o heart_n so_o special_o in_o the_o time_n of_o prayer_n when_o we_o show_v ourselves_o in_o his_o presence_n and_o enter_v into_o communication_n with_o he_o and_o thereupon_o when_o he_o promise_v to_o hear_v all_o those_o that_o call_v upon_o he_o he_o make_v a_o restraint_n &_o say_v that_o call_v upon_o he_o in_o truth_n see_v therefore_o that_o the_o chief_a duty_n of_o prayer_n consist_v in_o the_o heart_n we_o must_v with_o our_o whole_a hart_n pour_v out_o our_o prayer_n unto_o god_n the_o searcher_n of_o all_o heart_n &_o with_o a_o sincere_a unfeigned_a and_o ardent_a affection_n &_o open_v of_o our_o hart_n before_o god_n call_v upon_o he_o hand_n that_o we_o shall_v remember_v ourselves_o to_o be_v far_o off_o from_o god_n unless_o we_o lift_v up_o our_o heart_n and_o mind_n also_o on_o high_a and_o therefore_o it_o be_v say_v in_o the_o psalm_n to_o thou_o have_v i_o lift_v up_o my_o soul_n the_o scripture_n use_v also_o this_o manner_n of_o speech_n to_o lift_v up_o prayer_n that_o they_o that_o desire_v to_o be_v hear_v of_o god_n shall_v not_o have_v their_o mind_n carry_v away_o with_o earthly_a cogitation_n and_o vanity_n and_o though_o it_o be_v hard_a to_o be_v so_o bend_v to_o prayer_n but_o that_o we_o shall_v find_v that_o mâ—nie_a by-thought_n will_v creep_v upon_o we_o to_o hinder_v our_o prayer_n yet_o the_o more_o hard_a it_o be_v the_o more_o earnest_o we_o must_v wrestle_v to_o overcome_v all_o let_n and_o hindrance_n and_o labour_n with_o inward_a groan_n unto_o the_o lord_n that_o he_o will_v link_v our_o heart_n fast_o unto_o he_o and_o not_o suffer_v we_o to_o be_v lead_v away_o from_o he_o by_o the_o vain_a suggestion_n of_o satan_n 8â—_n psal_n 8â—_n who_o at_o all_o time_n compass_v we_o about_o be_v never_o more_o busy_a then_o when_o we_o address_v ourselves_o to_o prayer_n secret_o and_o subtle_o creep_v into_o our_o breast_n and_o call_v we_o back_o from_o god_n so_o that_o oftentimes_o when_o we_o with_o all_o reverence_n shall_v speak_v to_o god_n we_o find_v our_o heart_n talk_v with_o the_o vanity_n of_o the_o world_n or_o with_o the_o foolish_a imagination_n of_o our_o own_o heart_n final_o we_o must_v be_v in_o christian_n charity_n love_n and_z concord_n with_o all_o man_n seek_v unfeigned_a hearty_a and_o brotherly_a reconciliation_n if_o we_o have_v offend_v any_o man_n before_o we_o enter_v into_o prayer_n or_o else_o god_n will_v not_o hear_v our_o or_o in_o any_o wise_a may_v ask_v of_o god._n wherein_o he_o have_v express_v what_o be_v due_a please_a and_o acceptable_a to_o he_o what_o be_v necessary_a for_o we_o and_o what_o he_o will_v grant_v so_o that_o there_o be_v nothing_o herein_o omit_v that_o may_v be_v think_v upon_o to_o the_o praise_n &_o glory_n of_o god_n or_o come_v into_o the_o mind_n of_o man_n for_o his_o profit_n and_o commodity_n 11._o mar._n 6_o luk._n 11._o and_o this_o be_v that_o prayer_n that_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n teach_v his_o disciple_n when_o they_o ask_v he_o how_o they_o shall_v pray_v whosoever_o therefore_o shall_v ask_v any_o thing_n that_o be_v not_o contain_v in_o this_o prayer_n they_o presume_v to_o add_v something_o of_o their_o own_o to_o the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n they_o therefore_o ought_v not_o to_o be_v pray_v for_o because_o thy_o glory_n can_v be_v set_v forth_o as_o it_o shall_v be_v without_o their_o destruction_n thy_o will_n be_v always_o best_a and_o the_o from_o earth_n and_o earthly_a thing_n to_o heaven_n and_o heavenly_a thing_n and_o that_o i_o shall_v see_v further_o by_o corporal_a benefit_n thy_o heavenly_a providence_n for_o i_o for_o if_o thou_o place_v i_o thus_o on_o earth_n and_o thus_o bless_v i_o as_o thou_o do_v and_o hitherto_o have_v do_v from_o my_o youth_n up_o in_o that_o thou_o be_v nothing_o so_o careful_a for_o my_o body_n as_o for_o my_o soul_n how_o shall_v i_o but_o think_v much_o of_o thy_o providence_n for_o it_o be_v thy_o home_n where_o be_v such_o glory_n as_o the_o eye_n have_v not_o see_v &c_n &c_n of_o
