they_o live_v in_o a_o family_n where_o all_o exercise_n of_o religion_n be_v stricklie_o observe_v and_o no_o liberty_n give_v to_o any_o lewd_a practice_n they_o be_v as_o weary_a of_o it_o as_o a_o prisoner_n of_o the_o jail_n or_o one_o that_o be_v in_o little_a ease_n and_o they_o think_v it_o seven_o year_n till_o they_o be_v go_v to_o some_o other_o place_n where_o they_o may_v live_v as_o they_o list_v thus_o man_n of_o perverse_a mind_n and_o corrupt_a judgement_n censure_v god_n service_n to_o be_v no_o better_o than_o a_o sad_a dull_a wearisome_a and_o slavish_a drudgery_n ungodly_a man_n that_o think_v they_o no_o mirth_n but_o in_o madness_n no_o sport_n but_o in_o do_v mischief_n no_o contentment_n but_o in_o please_v the_o devil_n and_o wicked_a lust_n no_o liberty_n at_o all_o but_o in_o licentiousness_n of_o live_v be_v i_o beseech_v you_o better_a inform_v and_o know_v that_o a_o subject_n be_v a_o free_a man_n though_o he_o serve_v his_o prince_n and_o obey_v his_o god_n as_o a_o obedient_a subject_n of_o his_o kingdom_n this_o freedom_n he_o enjoy_v in_o part_n in_o this_o life_n but_o full_o in_o the_o world_n to_o come_v when_o he_o shall_v be_v perfect_o wish_n and_o long_a desire_n that_o we_o also_o may_v be_v deliver_v from_o the_o bondage_n of_o corruption_n into_o this_o glorious_a liberty_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n if_o now_o for_o conclusion_n of_o all_o you_o ask_v i_o by_o what_o mean_v this_o freedom_n may_v be_v obtain_v i_o answer_v brief_o there_o be_v no_o mean_n but_o one_o and_o that_o be_v jesus_n christ._n all_o themselves_o about_o exercise_n of_o religion_n i_o will_v be_v loath_a to_o discourage_v any_o man_n for_o his_o forwardness_n in_o matter_n of_o religion_n i_o know_v well_o we_o shall_v find_v every_o where_o ten_o monstrouslie_o profane_a to_o one_o indiscreet_o zealous_a yea_o a_o hundred_o that_o neglect_n god_n service_n to_o follow_v their_o own_o business_n for_o one_o that_o do_v otherwise_o yet_o give_v i_o leave_v to_o tell_v you_o that_o there_o be_v a_o fault_n among_o some_o in_o the_o world_n who_o suffer_v damage_n not_o so_o much_o by_o god_n service_n as_o by_o their_o own_o indiscretion_n while_o by_o unnecessary_a journey_n conference_n entertainment_n and_o such_o like_a occasion_n touch_v matter_n of_o religion_n they_o put_v all_o their_o necessary_a business_n out_o of_o order_n if_o such_o man_n suffer_v decay_n in_o their_o estate_n they_o must_v blame_v themselves_o religion_n be_v not_o in_o the_o fault_n which_o where_o it_o be_v true_o teach_v teach_v man_n prudence_n how_o to_o order_v his_o estate_n with_o judgement_n the_o want_n whereof_o give_v occasion_n to_o most_o to_o imagine_v that_o the_o great_a part_n of_o such_o man_n religion_n lie_v in_o their_o ear_n because_o they_o love_v to_o hear_v much_o but_o not_o to_o do_v this_o fault_n shall_v be_v amend_v where_o it_o be_v to_o be_v find_v to_o the_o end_n that_o religion_n be_v not_o scandalize_v as_o a_o profession_n that_o do_v impoverish_v man_n i_o confess_v it_o be_v not_o a_o easy_a matter_n to_o give_v general_a rule_n that_o may_v befit_v all_o calling_n and_o condition_n of_o life_n to_o proportion_v out_o the_o time_n of_o god_n service_n and_o our_o own_o employment_n yet_o these_o thing_n i_o shall_v commend_v to_o your_o consideration_n 1_o that_o in_o part_v our_o time_n between_o religious_a and_o civil_a affair_n we_o shall_v do_v best_a to_o follow_v god_n own_o direction_n who_o have_v allot_v a_o large_a proportion_n to_o our_o own_o temporal_a business_n then_o to_o his_o spiritual_a service_n six_o day_n for_o those_o one_o day_n for_o this_o not_o but_o that_o he_o must_v have_v the_o glory_n of_o some_o time_n and_o all_o the_o business_n of_o every_o day_n but_o on_o the_o seven_o day_n he_o require_v we_o shall_v more_o immediate_o and_o whole_o intend_v his_o service_n and_o know_v this_o for_o a_o truth_n that_o can_v reason_v or_o god_n command_n persuade_v people_n to_o harken_v to_o god_n counsel_n diligent_o and_o serious_o to_o attend_v all_o the_o duty_n of_o god_n worship_n upon_o the_o lord_n day_n they_o shall_v find_v a_o large_a increase_n of_o grace_n and_o better_a success_n in_o their_o affair_n by_o that_o one_o mean_n well_o use_v then_o now_o by_o many_o neglect_a 2_o you_o may_v observe_v a_o diversity_n in_o man_n calling_n some_o afford_v more_o leisure_n some_o less_o where_o more_o may_v be_v spare_v it_o can_v be_v better_a bestow_v then_o upon_o god_n to_o glorify_v he_o and_o upon_o a_o man_n own_o soul_n to_o save_v it_o but_o where_o less_o may_v be_v spare_v something_o yet_o may_v be_v set_v apart_o for_o religion_n this_o be_v certain_a there_o be_v no_o call_n of_o never_o so_o busy_a employment_n but_o enough_o time_n may_v be_v spare_v for_o some_o good_a duty_n without_o hinder_v the_o world_n and_o enough_o preserve_v for_o the_o world_n without_o rob_v of_o god_n be_v we_o wise_a to_o do_v well_o do_v not_o covetousness_n voluptuousness_n and_o other_o vild_a affection_n befool_v we_o and_o make_v we_o unthankful_a unthrift_n of_o this_o shortness_n of_o life_n and_o grace_n be_v our_o eye_n clear_v up_o that_o we_o can_v look_v perfect_o into_o the_o end_n of_o all_o thing_n reason_n and_o religion_n will_v teach_v we_o that_o game_a and_o other_o ungodlie_a practice_n how_o much_o better_a have_v it_o be_v if_o i_o have_v go_v to_o the_o house_n of_o god_n when_o at_o such_o a_o time_n i_o go_v about_o needless_a disport_n that_o such_o a_o day_n have_v be_v spend_v in_o prayer_n and_o fast_v which_o be_v pass_v away_o in_o compliment_n of_o visitation_n and_o entertainment_n but_o we_o trifle_v away_o our_o time_n and_o then_o complain_v we_o want_v time_n for_o god_n service_n and_o service_n of_o our_o calling_n the_o service_n of_o our_o lust_n have_v eat_v up_o that_o which_o be_v to_o be_v bestowen_v upon_o god_n and_o the_o remainder_n the_o world_n must_v have_v that_o wherefore_o let_v we_o learn_v wisdom_n and_o see_v we_o can_v almost_o at_o any_o time_n find_v a_o hour_n half_o a_o day_n a_o whole_a day_n or_o more_o to_o spare_v from_o our_o business_n for_o by_o matter_n let_v we_o do_v as_o much_o for_o god_n as_o we_o will_v do_v for_o the_o world_n and_o beside_o the_o seven_o day_n unfaithful_a untrustie_a unmerciful_a in_o their_o carriage_n proud_a disdainful_a luxurious_a wanton_a and_o unclean_a person_n may_v we_o believe_v such_o man_n when_o they_o say_v christ_n be_v their_o beloved_a sure_o we_o can_v though_o they_o shall_v swear_v it_o what_o love_n christ_n yet_o not_o know_v he_o except_o it_o be_v by_o his_o name_n love_v he_o and_o yet_o despise_v his_o servant_n his_o service_n his_o minister_n make_v a_o jest_n at_o his_o word_n and_o put_v off_o with_o a_o scoff_n the_o counsel_n and_o rebuke_n which_o out_o of_o it_o be_v bring_v to_o they_o love_n christ_n yet_o set_v thy_o mouth_n against_o heaven_n and_o in_o thy_o rage_n and_o hellish_a surie_n discharge_v thy_o blasphemy_n upon_o his_o soul_n his_o body_n his_o blood_n his_o wound_n his_o name_n upon_o all_o that_o be_v precious_a in_o he_o and_o not_o to_o be_v name_v but_o with_o devotion_n will_v thou_o say_v thou_o love_v christ_n when_o thou_o have_v no_o heart_n to_o think_v on_o he_o to_o talk_v of_o he_o to_o be_v in_o his_o presence_n in_o the_o assembly_n of_o god_n people_n in_o public_a at_o sermon_n at_o sacrament_n at_o private_a prayer_n be_v he_o thy_o friend_n and_o yet_o be_v though_o loath_a to_o have_v any_o thing_n to_o do_v with_o he_o in_o such_o place_n in_o such_o exercise_n in_o fine_n where_o be_v thy_o love_n to_o christ_n whilst_o i_o see_v thy_o ungodly_a life_n whereby_o thou_o dishonour_v christ_n and_o shame_v the_o name_n of_o a_o christian_a if_o by_o these_o practice_n we_o shall_v know_v thy_o love_n of_o he_o whereby_o i_o marvel_v shall_v we_o know_v thy_o hatred_n of_o he_o but_o brethren_n be_v not_o deceive_v god_n will_v not_o so_o be_v mock_v delude_v thy_o self_n thou_o may_v but_o christ_n thou_o can_v not_o
