he_o that_o be_v wealthy_a store_v with_o sufficiency_n in_o temporal_a blessing_n yet_o still_o care_n and_o fear_n lest_o he_o shall_v want_v and_o fall_v to_o beggary_n he_o that_o dare_v not_o be_v liberal_a to_o the_o poor_a for_o fear_v it_o shall_v impoverish_v his_o estate_n he_o that_o in_o adversity_n make_v flesh_n his_o arm_n put_v his_o trust_n in_o his_o purse_n his_o wit_n his_o friend_n make_v haste_n for_o his_o escape_n by_o all_o unlawful_a shift_n leap_v the_o wall_n not_o stay_v till_o god_n open_v the_o prison_n door_n he_o that_o dare_v not_o trust_n god_n with_o continue_v unto_o thou_o here_o learn_v the_o way_n to_o enjoy_v comfort_n and_o prevent_v many_o sorrow_n attend_v diligent_o unto_o the_o worship_n of_o god_n do_v not_o slubber_v it_o over_o do_v he_o service_n and_o do_v it_o faithful_o else_o it_o be_v no_o service_n but_o sloth_n hear_v the_o word_n but_o attentive_o and_o mix_v it_o with_o faith_n pray_v but_o fervent_o fast_o but_o unloose_v the_o bond_n of_o wickedness_n receive_v the_o sacrament_n but_o fruitful_o do_v not_o these_o thing_n as_o common_a business_n go_v not_o to_o church_n as_o thou_o will_v go_v to_o thy_o chamber_n preach_v not_o nor_o hear_v a_o sermon_n as_o thou_o will_v do_v a_o oration_n pray_v not_o to_o god_n as_o thou_o will_v speak_v to_o a_o man_n come_v not_o to_o the_o lord_n table_n as_o to_o a_o ordinary_a repast_n put_v on_o other_o affection_n and_o thought_n in_o sacred_a than_o thou_o do_v in_o civil_a business_n advise_v thyself_o before_o thou_o meddle_v with_o they_o in_o do_v of_o they_o stir_v up_o thy_o heart_n to_o a_o regard_n of_o god_n with_o who_o thou_o have_v to_o do_v of_o thy_o soul_n who_o well_n or_o ill-fare_n depend_v much_o upon_o these_o thing_n know_v that_o it_o be_v no_o light_a matter_n to_o mock_v god_n to_o his_o face_n to_o come_v before_o he_o with_o the_o body_n and_o draw_v near_o with_o the_o lip_n but_o turn_v from_o he_o in_o thy_o heart_n to_o make_v a_o show_n of_o regard_v he_o but_o indeed_o to_o sleight_v he_o remember_v salomon_n rule_n take_v heed_n to_o thy_o â—ort_n &c_n &c_n eccles._n 5.1_o when_o thou_o go_v to_o the_o house_n of_o god_n i._n e._n to_o perform_v any_o worship_n to_o he_o take_v heed_n to_o thy_o foot_n be_v advise_v whereabout_o thou_o go_v and_o be_v more_o near_o to_o hear_v that_o be_v to_o proof_n let_v they_o but_o turn_v home_o their_o eye_n upon_o themselves_o they_o may_v see_v apparent_a mark_n of_o god_n anger_n against_o they_o for_o their_o sinful_a abuse_n of_o the_o bless_a sacrament_n the_o weak_a and_o sickly_a body_n the_o dead_a carcase_n of_o so_o many_o among_o they_o be_v witness_n sufficient_a that_o god_n be_v high_o displease_v at_o they_o for_o profane_v his_o holy_a table_n the_o word_n fall_v into_o two_o part_n first_o a_o cause_n for_o this_o cause_n 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d for_o this_o matter_n namely_o a_o sin_n before_o mention_v for_o not_o discern_v the_o lord_n body_n in_o the_o sacrament_n second_o a_o effect_n and_o that_o be_v a_o particular_a punishment_n describe_v 1._o by_o the_o person_n upon_o who_o it_o be_v inflict_v the_o corinthian_n and_o that_o not_o one_o or_o two_o but_o many_o there_o be_v that_o suffer_v it_o many_o among_o you_o etc._n etc._n 2._o by_o the_o quality_n and_o degree_n of_o this_o punishment_n it_o be_v bodily_a upon_o the_o outward_a man_n in_o three_o degree_n weakness_n sickness_n and_o death_n many_o be_v weak_a 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d and_o sick_a 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d and_o many_o sleep_n 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d i._n e._n be_v dead_a of_o these_o brief_o and_o plain_o for_o this_o cause_n the_o apostle_n here_o admonish_v they_o of_o that_o which_o of_o themselves_o they_o will_v not_o easy_o have_v think_v of_o god_n punish_v they_o yet_o still_o they_o profane_v the_o sacrament_n and_o why_o they_o be_v not_o aware_a that_o those_o plague_n be_v send_v of_o god_n for_o that_o their_o sin_n therefore_o the_o apostle_n point_v out_o unto_o they_o the_o true_a cause_n of_o all_o their_o misery_n for_o this_o cause_n say_v he_o be_v you_o
