LXXXVIII LORD GOD of my salvation I have with all my might Still cri'd in mine affliction before thee day and night verse 2 Let my prayer before thee come that thou the same my hear In my distresse and grief incline unto my cry thine ear verse 3 For my soul is of troubles full which daily vex'd me have My poor distressed life also drawes neer unto the grave verse 4 I counted am with them that d● into the pit doth fall I verilie am as a man that hath no strength at all verse 5 Like slaine that lie in grave amo● the dead from doings free Whom thou remembrest not and they cut off by thy hand be Thou hast me with thy hād laid down the lowest pit me keeps ●n darknesse I do still abide even in the greatest deeps Thy wrath doth lye upon me hard and thou who others saves Me hast afflicted fearfully with all thy boistrous waves Thou mine acquaintance far from me hast put as of no worth Thou hast me made abhorr'd I now shut up can not come foorth verse 9 By reason of affliction Lord thus mourneth still
glory made also to cease at all to be ●nd to the ground likewise his Thron is now cast down by thee verse 45 Thou al 's hast shortned of his youth the dayes him to defame ●hou in thine anger covred hast him with disgrace and shame verse 46 O LORD how long wilt thou thy self for ever hide in ire ●hall thy most fearfull wrath still burn like a consuming fire verse 47 Remember how my time is short that I on earth remain Yea wherefore is it so that thou hast made all men in vain verse 48 What man is he that liveth he ere and death shall never see Shall he from graves destroying hand his soul deliver free verse 49 Where are thy former kindnesses most loving now O LORD Which unto David in thy truth thou swarest in thy word verse 50 The great reproch remember Lord of thy servants most dear How I the mighty peoples blame do in my bosome bear verse 51 Wherewith thy foes reproched have wherewith O LORD anone They have his steps reproched that was thine annointed One. verse 52 The Lord who doth his own defend be blessed among men And that both now and evermore Amen yea and Amen PSALME XC O LORD that art most mercifull thou by thy saving grace Ev'n in all generations still hast been our dwelling place verse 2 Before the mountaines were broght forth ere thou the world didst frame From everlasting thou art GOD and still shalt be the same verse 3 Thou to destruction mortall man most easily dost turn And thus thou say'st ye frail and weak all sons of men return verse 4 For even a thousand yeers do last in thy presence and sight As yesterday when it is past and as a watch by night verse 5 Thou cariest them as with a flood as sleep they seeme to be Like grasse they in the morning are which growing up we see verse 6 At morning it doth flourish fair and groweth up alway It in the ev'ning is cut down and withreth all away verse 7 For we are by thine anger fierce consumed great and small And also by thy dreadfull wrath sore troubled are we all verse 8 In wrath now our iniquities before thee thou hast set In the light of thy countenance our sins that are secret verse 9 For all our dayes are past away in thy wrath manifold We spend our yeers that are most vain even as a tale that 's told verse 10 The days of all our yeers threescore and ten yeers are we see And if by reason of great strength ev'n fourscore yeers they be Yet is their strength both labour hard and sorrow great alway For it by death is soon cut off and we do flee away verse 11 Who knoweth the great power of thine anger most severe Even so is thy consuming wrath according to thy fear verse 12 Our painful dayes to number well so teach us by and by That unto wisdome we our hearts may timously apply verse 13 Return O Lord how long wilt thou to anger be so bent Concerning us thy servants poor now let it thee repent verse 14 O satisfie us early with thy mercies sweet alwaies That we all greatlie may rejoice and glad be all our dayes verse 15 Make us now glad according to the dayes that we have been By thee afflicted and the years wherein we ill have seen verse 16 Unto thy servant let thy work most clearly now appear And shew thy glory great unto their children that thee fear verse 17 And let the beautie of the LORD our GOD upon us be Establish our hands work on us yea stablish it surelie PSAL. XCI HE that doth in the secret place of the most High reside Under th●Almighties shadow shall most safely still abide verse 2 I will alwayes say of the LORD he my refuge is still My mighty fortresse and my God in him now trust I will verse 3 He surely from the foulers snare shall safe deliver thee And from the pestilence likewise most noisome as we see verse 4 He with his feathers cov'r thee sha● under his wings safelie Thou glade shalt trust his truth th● sh●e● and buckler al 's shall be verse 5 Thou shalt in no way be afraid for terrour great by night Nor for the arrow that is shot by day while it is light verse 6 Nor yet the Pestilence that walks in darknesse every way Nor for the great destruction al 's that wasts at the noon day verse 7 A thousand at thy side shall fall and also thousands ten At thy right hand but not at all it shall come nigh thee then verse 8 With thine own eyes thou only shal● behold assuredlie And of the wicked also thou the just reward shalt see verse 9 Because thou thus hast made the Lord which is my sure refuge Ev'n the most high for evermore thy dwelling thee to lodge verse 10 There surelie shall no ev'll at all befall unto thee heer Nor yet shall any noisome plague come to thy dwelling neer verse 11 For ov'r thee to his Angels strong he shall give charge alwayes That they most safely keep thee still in all thy lawfull wayes verse 12 Up in their hands in dangers great they shall thee bear anone Lest thou should dash at unawars thy foot against a stone verse 13 Thou shalt upon the Lion tread and Asp as thou thinks meet The Lion young and Dragon thou shalt trample under feet verse 14 I him deliver will because he set his love on me Because that he hath known my Name I will him set on hie verse 15 When he shall call I 'l answer him with him also I will In trouble be I will him save and will him honour still verse 16 With long life as he shall desire I will him satisfie And will him my salvation sure shew that he it may see PSAL. XCII TO give thanks to the Lord it is a good and comely thing And to thy Name O thou most High due praises al 's to sing verse 2 Thy loving kindnes to shew foorth in the first morning light And to declare thy faithfulnesse with gladnesse every night verse 3 Upon an instrument most sweet of ten strings that rebound And on the Psaltrie and upon the Harp with solemne sound verse 4 For thou Lord now hast through thy work me glad made ev'ry way I in the great works of thy hands will still triumph alway verse 5 Thy thoghts are very deep how great are the works of thy hand verse 6 brutish man not knows nor doth a fool this understand verse 7 When wicked men even as the grasse spring in prosperitie When all those flourish more or lesse that work iniquitie It is that they for ever shall destroyed be therefore verse 8 But thou Lord always mighty art most high for ever more verse 9 For loe thine enmies Lord for loe thine enmies perish shall The workers of iniquitie they shall be scattred all verse 10 But thou my horn like th'Unicorns shall still exalt

CXVII O Praise the Lord most thankfully ye nations great and small With heart and voice praise him also on earth ye people all verse 2 For he his kindnesse mercifull to us doth still afford For ever the LORDS truth endures praise ye alwayes the LORD PSAL. CXIX ALEPH. BLest are all those that undefil'd are in the holy way Who in the law of God the Lord sincerely walk alway verse 2 Blest are all they that carefully his Testimonies keep And that him ever constantly with all their heart do seek verse 3 They al 's do no iniquitie then walk still in his wayes verse 4 Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts well alwayes verse 5 O that my ways were set to keep the statutes given by thee verse 6 When I thy precepts all respect I not asham'd shall be verse 7 With uprightnesse of heart I will thee praise when well I shall Have learned for to understand thy righteous judgements all verse 8 With care I will thy statutes keep O for thy mercies sake Not utterly O Lord in wrath me thy servant forsake BETH verse 9 Wherewith all shal a young man heer his way well cleanse indeed Even still according to thy word by thereto taking head verse 10 I with my whole heart carefu● have sought thee ev'ry way O from thy precepts let me not now wander far away verse 11 Thy word I have hid in my h● lest ' gainst thee I should sin verse 12 O Lord thou blessed art m● thy statutes well within verse 13 I with my lips unfained have declared thankfullie Thy judgements which directed ev'n from thy mouth to me verse 14 I of thy Testimonies have rejoiced in the way As much as in the riches all that men in treasures lay verse 15 I 'le in thy precepts meditate and all thy ways respect verse 16 Thy statuts shall be my delig●● thy word I 'le not forget GIMEL verse 17 Deal bountifully

with my heart shall keep it to the end verse 34 Give understanding unto me and I in every part Shall keep thy law yea it I shall observe with all my heart verse 35 Make me now in thy mercy gre●● that CXXXIII BEhold how good a thing it is and pleasant for to see That brethren should together dwell in peace and unitie verse 2 Like precious ointment on the hea● that on the beard did fall Ev'n Aarons beard that to the skirts went of his garments all ●'n Aarons beard who was a man by GOD almighty sent ●●t down from thence unto the skirts of all his garments went ●ike Hermons dew like dew which down the Zions hills ran o're ● there the blessing God ordain'd ev'n life for evermore PSAL. CXXXIV ●Ehold and blesse the Lord all ye that serve the LORD aright ●●ich in the house of God the Lord to serve him stand by night Your hands lift in the Sanctuary and bless the Lord in this The Lord that made the heav'n and earth thee out of Zion blesse PSAL. CXXXV ●Raise ye the Lord praise ye also his Name with one accord ●●aise him with heart and voice O ye the servants of the Lord. Ye that in the house of the Lord to serve him always stand Ev'n in the fair courts of the house of our God in the land verse 3 Praise ye the Lord for he is good most hearty praises sing Unto his blessed Name alwayes for it 's a pleasant thing verse 4 For that the Lord unto himself hath of his own good pleasure Ev'n chosen Jacob and Isra'l for his peculiar treasure verse 5 For I know that assuredly the Lord is always great And that our God above all gods is in a glorious seat verse 6 What thing so ev'r the Lord did plea● that in the heav'ns did he And in the earth in seas and all deep places that there be verse 7 He from the ends of all the earth makes vapours to ascend For raine he lightnings makes he doth winds from his treasures send verse 8 Who to great wrath provoked much by men of Egypt land Their first-born smot of man and beast with a destroying hand Who tokens sent wonders which in midst of thee did fall Egypt upon Pharaoh and on his servants all verse 10 Who in great wrath by his strong hand the Maker of all things ●not nations great with fearful plagus and al 's slew mighty kings verse 11 Sihon king of the Amorites and Og of Bashan strong ●nd all the kingdomes that were then the Cananits among verse 12 And for a pleasant heritage he with a liberall hand An heritage to Israel his people gave their land verse 13 For ever Lord thy Name endures and thy memoriall O Lord ev'n constantly througho● the generations all verse 14 For sure the Lord his people al● will judge in favour still Concerning all his servants dear repent himself he will verse 15 The heathens idols silver gold works of mens hands they be verse 16 They have mouths but they do n● spea● and eyes but they not see verse 17 They have also their formed ear● wherewith they cannot hear Nor yet doth any breath at all once in their mouthes appear verse 18 They that most foolish make the● 〈◊〉 like unto them at length Even so is every brutish one that trusteth in their strength verse 19 Blesse thou O house of Israel the LORD in ev'ry part O house of Aaron also blesse the LORD with all thy heart verse 20 O house of Levi blesse the Lord all ye both more and lesse That fear the Lord with all your heart the Lord for ever blesse verse 21 Out of Zion for evermore the Lord God blessed be Which dwelleth at Jerusalem the Lord always praise ye PSAL. Lord this seemes not to be verse 3 And what can David more to thee for this thy goodnesse say For thou Lord God who art most hie thy servant know'st alway verse 4 For thy words sake thou hast now done according to thy heart Those things to make thy servants all them know in every part verse 5 Thou Lord art great like thee is none no God is thee beside According to all things that we have heard on ev'ry side verse 6 What Nation one in all the earth is like thy people dear Ev'n like Isra'l whom God redeem'd that he might them acquire To get a name and do great things for thy most holy land ●efore thy people which from Kings redeem'd are by thy hand For to thy self thou Isra'l hast confirm'd to thee for ay ● people and thou art become their Lord and God alway What of thy servant and his house thou hast Lord spoken now ●s thou hast said it by thy grace establish and allow verse 10 And let thy name be magnified for ever and for ay ●he Lord of hoasts is Isra'ls God let all the people say ●nd let the house or thy servant David for evermore Be by thy mercy and thy might establish'd thee before verse 11 For thou Lord God the Lord hosts the God of Israel Unto thy servant hast reveal'd thy mercies that excell I will thee build an house thou saidst therefore I have this day Found even this prayer in my heart unto thee for to pray verse 12 And now O Lord that God thou art and thy words be most true And thou this goodnes promisde hast unto thy servant now verse 13 Therefore be pleased for to blesse thy servants house alway That it may so continue still before thee fast for ay For thou O Lord in mercy great hast spoken it to me Now of thy servant let the house for ever blessed be ●he Song of Isaiah concerning the vineyard wherein Gods people is reproved for their barrennesse in good workes notwithstanding of all the paines were taken by the Prophets ISA. 5. vers 1. ISA. 12. vers 1. Wil thee praise O Lord though thou with me most angry wast ●hine anger is now turn'd away thou me comforted hast Behold God's my salvation now I surely will therefore With confidence trust and not be afraid even lesse or more For the great Lord Jehovah is my strength and al 's my song He my salvation is also become all men among verse 3 Therefore out of Salvations wells ye shall your self imploy Fine water in aboundance great to draw alwayes with joy verse 4 Then shall ye say praise ye the Lord and call upon his Name His works among the people shew and high exalt his fame verse 5 Unto the LORD sing thankfully for he hath things of worth Done by his mighty hand this well is known in all the earth verse 6 With a loud voice cry out and shout ye that indwellers be Of Zion Isra'ls holy One is great in midst of thee A Song inciting to confidence in GOD. ISA. 26. vers 1. WE have a city all made strong the LORD salvation will Appoint for to be mighty walles and bulwarks ever still verse 2 The glorious gates now open that the Nation free of sin Which constantly the truth doth keep may freely enter in verse 3 Thou wilt him well preserve keep in perfect peace to be Whose minde is still upon thee stay'd because he trusts in thee verse 4 For ever trust ye in the LORD for ye shall feel at length That in the LORD Jehovah is an everlasting strength verse 5 For he brings down dwellers on high the lofty city low He layes it to the ground he brings even to the dust below verse 6 The foot shall basely tread it down even the foot of the poor And the steps of the needie al 's shall al 's the like procure verse 7 The just mans way is uprightnesse thou upright in thy wayes Of the Just in the ballance thou dost weigh the path alwayes verse 8 Yee in thy judgements way O Lord we waited have for thee Our soules desires unto thy name and thy remembrance be verse 9 I with my soul have constantly desir'd thee in the night Yea with my sprit I early will thee seek with all my might For when thy judgements in the earth us teach for to discern Then all the worlds inhabitants Gods righteousnesse will learn verse 10 Let favour great be shewed still unto the wicked man Yet for all that he righteousnesse will neither learn nor can Even in the land of uprightnesse unjustly will he deal And of the LORD the Majestie behold no way he will verse 11 Lord when thy hand is lifted up they all refuse to see But they shall see against their will though they do close their eye Because thy people they envy asham'd they shall be sore Yea of thine enmies all the fire shall quickly them devore verse 12 Lord thou wilt ordain peace for us this still is in our thought For thou in us hast all our works even by thy finger wrought verse 13 O Lord besides thee other lords have rul'd us to our shame But by thee only will we all make mention of thy Name verse 14 Hencefoorth those wicked shal not live who are now dead and slaine At last they all deceased are they shall not live againe Therefore thou visited hast them and them destroyd alway And al 's hast made their memorie
like a potters vessell shalt in pieces dash them all verse 10 Now therefore O ye mighty kings be wise in what ye do And ye the judges of the earth instructed be also verse 11 Serve ye now with a Sonly fear the LORD your only choise With trembling also reverently at his service rejoice verse 12 Kisse ye the Son lest he with you be angry still alway And when his wrath but kindled is ye perish from the way Most blessed ever are all they that in their grief and smart Do constantly on him rely and trust with all their heart PSAL. III. LOrd how are they increased thus that that sore do trouble me They who against me now rise up in number many be verse 2 There many be who in disdain thus of my soul do say For him in the almighty GOD there is no help alway verse 3 But thou O LORD most mighty art a shield for me indeed My glory and in troubles great the lifter of mine head verse 4 Unto the LORD I with my voice in prayer cryed still And he me heard then by and by out of his holie hill verse 5 With confidence I laid me down and slept most quietlie I al 's awaked for the LORD alwayes sustained me verse 6 I surely will not be afraid of thousands ten most stout Of people that have set themselves against me round about verse 7 A rise O LORD save me my GOD for thou my foes didst smite On the check bone th'ungodlies teeth thou brok'st in pieces quite verse 3 Salvation Surely doth unto the Lord belong alone Thy blessing also plentifull thy people is upon PSAL. IV. O Thou GOD of my righteousnesse when I do call give ear Inlarg'd thou hast me from distresse my prayer in mercy hear verse 2 O sons of men How long will ye my glory turn to shame How long will ye love vanitie and leesing seek to frame verse 3 But know that for himself the Lord th'ungodly one and all Hath set apart the LORD will hear when I unto him call verse 4 Stand now in aw and sin no more and common ye with skill With your own heart upon your bed and be ye alwayes still verse 5 The sacrifice of righteousnesse now offer which is just And in the great and mighty Lord put ye alwayes your trust verse 6 Who will to us shew any good there many be that say LORD of thy countenance the light lift up on us alway verse 7 Thou surely gladnesse in my heart hast put by thy good will More then in times their corns wine increased alwayes still verse 8 I will both lay me down in peace and sleep exceeding well For thou LORD only dost me make in safety for to dwell PSAL. V. GIve ear unto my words O Lord my meditation weigh verse 2 Hear thou my cry my King my God for I to thee will pray verse 3 Thou in the morning shalt my voice Lord heare by thy goodwill At morning to thee will I pray and look up to thee still verse 4 For thou art not a God that pleasd with wickednesse can'st be Nor yet evill at any time shall dwell at all with thee verse 5 The foolish people in thy sight stand stedfast never shall The workers of iniquitie thou surelie hatest all verse 6 Them that are leesing giv'n to speak thou wilt destroy therefore The bloody and deceitfull man God alwayes will abhorre verse 7 But in thy mercies multitude come to thy house I will Thy Temple towards in thy feare I will thee worship still verse 8 O Lord God in thy righteousnesse me lead now I thee pray Because of foes before my face make thou now straight thy way verse 9 For in their mouth no treuth there is their inward's alwayes ill Their throat 's an open sepulchre their tongues do flatter still verse 10 O God who ever righteous art destroy them great and small Let them with shame grief of heart by their own counsels fall Cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions hie For in great wickednesse they have rebelled against thee verse 11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice alway Let them for joy in every part most gladly shout for ay Because that thou them by thy hand defendest as they see Let them also that love thy name be joyfull still in thee verse 12 For thou O Lord the righteous man wilt blesse both in and out With favour thou as with a shield wilt compasse him about PSALME VI. O Lord while thou in anger art me then rebuke thou not Nor yet me chasten for my sins in thy displeasure hote verse 2 Have mercy upon me O LORD for I am weake truelie O LORD me heale for all my bones with paine still vexed be verse 3 My soul also in trouble great is all my foes among Sore vexed ev'n continually but thou O LORD how long verse 4 Returne O LORD deliver now my soul distressde and weak Oh save me by thy mighty hand even for thy mercies sake verse 5 For of thee in the place of death there no remembrance be Who lying dead within the grave shall thanks give unto thee verse 6 I wearied with my groning am all night I fill'd with fears Do make my bed to swim my couch I water with my teares verse 7 Mine eye consumed is because of grief and many woes It in this case still waxeth old because of all my foes verse 8 Depart from me ye wicked all that worke iniquity For the LORD o● my weepping now hath heard the voice and cry verse 9 The LORD my supplication now hath heard as I did crave The LORD the prayer that I make will lovingly receive verse 10 Let all mine enmies be asham'd and vexed sore by thee Let them returne and suddenly ashamed also be PSAL. VII O Lord my God most gracious still I put my trust in thee From all them that me persecute save and deliver me verse 2 Lest like a Lion he my soule teare and in pieces small It rent while to deliver me there is none found at all verse 3 O LORD my GOD if any way this hath been done by me Or if at all within my hands iniquity there be verse 4 If him that was at peace with me I ill rewarded so Yea I have him deliv'red that is without cause my so verse 5 Let th'enmie still pursue my soul and take it let him thrust My life down on the earth and lay mine honour in the dust verse 6 Rise Lord in wrath lift up thy self my foes rage to withstand Awake to judgement that for me thou wisely didst command verse 7 The peoples congregation so about thee compasse shall Return thou for their sakes therefore on high set over all verse 8 The Lord shall all the people judge O Lord al 's judge thou me According to my righteousnesse and mine integritie verse 9 Oh let the wickeds malice end but stablish stedfastly The just
man for the righteous GOD the hearts and reins doth try verse 10 In all my troubles my defence of GOD is in each part Which saveth by his mighty hand the man upright in heart verse 11 GOD judgeth in his mercy great the righteous men alway And God with those that wicked are is angry every day verse 12 If surely he turne not again his sword then whet he will He hath his bow in anger bent and ready made it still verse 13 He hath aso prepar'd for him the instruments of death Against the persecutors he his arrows ordain'd hath verse 14 Behold he with iniquitie doth travell as in birth And hath conceived a mischief and falsehood hath brought foorth verse 15 He made a pit and digged it the righteous there to take And he into the ditch is fall'n which he himself did make verse 16 His mischief all most surely shall return on his own head His violent dealing shall come downe on his own pate with speed verse 17 According to his righteousnesse now praise the LORD I will And to the name of GOD most high I will sing praises still PSAL. VIII O Lord our Lord how excellent is in the earth thy name Who hast thy glory set above the bright heavens fairest frame verse 2 Out of the mouth of suckling babes thou hast ordained strength Because of foes that thou mightst still th' avenging fo at length verse 3 When I the heav'ns consider well thy fingers works that be The Moon and likewise all the Stars that were ordain'd by thee verse 4 What is poor man that thou of him should'st thus so mindfull be Or what the son of man that thou him visits with thine eye verse 5 For even a little lower him then Angels thou hast made With glory and with honour al 's thou crowned hast his head verse 6 Thou mad'st him have dominion ov'r the great works of thine hand Under his feet thou hast all things put both of sea and land verse 7 All sheep to him obedience give and oxen service yeeld Yea which is more him still obey the beasts of all the field verse 8 The foules of th' air and of the sea the fishes more or lesse And whatsoever of the seas still through the paths do passe verse 9 O Lord our Lord those mighty wor● do high extoll thy fame How excellent in all the earth is thy most glorious name PSAL. IX WIth my whole hart I wil O Lord thee praise for ever still Thy works that are all marveilous shew foorth I alwayes will verse 2 I surely alwayes will be glade and al 's rejoice in thee I will sing praise unto thy name O thou who art most Hie. verse 3 When all mine en'mies quickly a● turn'd back for their offence They shal down fall and perish all at thy divine Presence verse 4 For wel my right and cause thou hast maintain'd even in our sight Thou as a King sat'st on the Throne there alwayes judging right verse 5 The heathen thou rebuked hast the wicked thou with shame Destroyed hast for ever thou hast quite put out their name verse 6 O en'mie come destructions are to end perpetuall Thou cities raz'd perish'd with them is their memoriall verse 7 But God the Lord most righteous shal for ever still endure With equity he hath prepar'd his throne for judgement sure verse 8 And he this world all wel shal judge in perfect righteousnesse He al 's shall to the people give judgement in uprightnesse verse 9 The LORD will be a sure refuge for those whom men oppresse He a refuge will be in times of trouble and distresse verse 10 And they that know thy blesse nam● will put their trust in thee For thou hast not forsaken them that seek sincerely thee verse 11 To GOD that doth in Sion dwel● sing praises every where Among the people of the earth his doings now declare verse 12 When he strict inquisition to make for blood is set He thinks on them the humbles cry he never doth forget verse 13 Have mercy upon me O LORD weigh how my hater hath Me troubled sore thou that me lift up from the gates of death verse 14 That still in Sions daughters gate thy praise shew forth I may In thy salvation of great price I will rejoice alway verse 15 The heathen all in their own pit sunk down are at the last ●n the same net which they did hide their own foot 's taken fast verse 16 By judgement which he executes the LORD is known in this Ev'n in the works of his own hands the wicked snared is verse 17 The wicked shall be into hell ev'n turned from his seat And all the nations that the LORD unthankfully forget verse 18 For the needy not surely shall forgotten be alway The expectation of the poor not perish shall for ay verse 19 Arise O Lord and let not man prevail by his great might Let all the heathen people now be judged in thy sight verse 20 O Lord almighty in great fear put thou them very low That so themselves to be but men the Nations all may know PSAL. X. WHy in thine anger fierce O Lor● thus standest thou afar Why hidest thou thyself from us when times of troubles are verse 2 The wicked in his pride the poor doth persecute greatlie In plots which they imagin'd have let them all taken be verse 3 For of his hearts desire alwayes the wicked man doth boast And blesseth al 's the covetous man whom GOD abhorreth most verse 4 Throgh the pride of his countenant the wicked great or small Will not seek GOD in all his though the LORD is not at all verse 5 His wayes alwayes most grievous a● thy judgements where he goes Are far above out of his sight he puffs at all his foes verse 6 He hath said in his foolish heart I shall not moved be For I shall never in this life be in adversitie verse 7 Great cursing and deceit and fraud his wicked mouth do fill Under his tongue mischief alwayes and vanitie are still verse 8 He lurking sits in villages in secret places he Kills th' innocent he'gainst the poor his eyes sets privilie verse 9 Hee in his den lies lion like in waite he lyes secret To catch the poore he him doth catch when drawn into his net verse 10 With great deceit he croucheth down himself he humbleth all That by his strong ones at the last the poor may surely fall verse 11 He foolish hath said in his heart God hath most certainlie Forgotten all he hides his face he will it never see verse 12 Arise O Lord make hast O GO● lift up thy mightie hand Forget not in thine anger great the humble of the land verse 13 Wherfore doth wicked man in spi● GOD to contemne desire He hath said in his foolish heart thou wilt it not require verse 14 Thou hast it all most clearly seen for thou mischief and spite Beholdest thou it with thy hand in
asham'd at all that humbly wait on thee But who transgresse without a cause let them ashamed be verse 4 Shew me thy ways O Lord thy pa● me teach thou ever still verse 5 Me in thy truth most wisely lead and teach by thy good will For thou of my salvation dear still art the GOD alway On thee alone with confidence do I wait all the day verse 6 Thy tender mercies now O LOR● in thy remembrance hold And al 's thy loving kindnesses for they have been of old verse 7 Sins my youth remember not nor my transgressions mark In mercy now remember me Lord for thy goodnesse sake verse 8 The LORD he is perfectly good and upright al 's alway Therefore he by his wisdome will teach sinners in the way verse 9 In judgement surely he will guide the meek both day and night And also he unto the meek will teach his way aright verse 10 The paths all of the Lord our God both truth and mercies are To such as well his Cov'nant keep and testimonies rare verse 11 For thy names sake most humbly now O LORD I thee intreat To pardon mine iniquitie for it is very great verse 12 What man is he that in his life the LORD doth truely fear Him in the way that he shall chuse he shall teach plainlie heer verse 13 His soul in great calamities at ease shall safely dwell And al 's the seed shall after him the earth inherit well verse 14 The secret of the LORD is with all them that fear him still And unto them his Cov'nant sure most clearly shew he will verse 15 Still towards GOD in all my grie● mine eyes are alwayes set He by his mighty hand shall pluck my feet out of the net verse 16 Unto me turn thee and on me have mercy in good-will For I am alwayes desolate and al 's afflicted still verse 17 The troubles of my wounded he● alwayes enlarged be Out of my great distresses all O safely bring thou me verse 18 My great affliction look upon and pain wherein I live And all my sins which grievous are in mercy me forgive verse 19 Consider now mine enemies all for they in number great With a most cruel hatred still despightfully me hate verse 20 O keep my soul from dangers great and safe deliver me ●et me not be asham'd for I still put my thrust in thee verse 21 For my most constant uprightnesse and al 's integritie Preserve me by thy mighty hand for I do wait on thee verse 22 O GOD who of thy people dear most highly dost esteeme Out of his troubles which are great thine Israel now redeeme PSAL. XXVI ●Udge me O Lord for walk'd I have in mine integrity I trusted al 's have in the Lord therefore slide shall not I. verse 2 Examine me O LORD and al 's me prove in every part Try thou like wise most narrowly my reins and al 's my heart verse 3 For thy most loving kindnesse is alwayes before mine eyes And in thy truth I constantly have walked thee to please verse 4 With persons vaine I surely have not sit in companie Nor will I once go with those me● that false dissemblers be verse 5 Of ill doers I hated have the congregation great With wicked men in companie at all I will not sit verse 6 I carefully will wash mine han● in innocency still So I thine Altar with respect O LORD now compasse will That I may publish with the voice of thanks most heartilie And tell of all the wondrous works that have been done by thee The habitation of thy house LORD I have loved well And also the most glorious place where doth thine honour dwell O gather not my soul with those that grievous sinners be Nor yet my life likewise with men whom bloody still we see verse 10 In whose most cruel hands alwayes mischief is ever still And their right hand against all right great bribes do alwayes fill verse 11 Put as for me I will now walk in mine integritie Redeeme thou me and of thy grace be mercifull to me verse 12 In an even place my fixed foot most stedfast standeth still Even in the congregations great the LORD now blesse I will PSAL. XXVII THe Lord is my salvation sure and light whom shall I fear The Lord the strength is of my life what shall affright me heer verse 2 When wicked men my enmies g● and foes both fierce and fell Came me upon to eat my flesh they stumbled all and fell verse 3 Though ' gainst me should encamp● my heart it shall not fear In this will I be confident though ' gainst me rise great wa● verse 4 This one thing of the Lord have ● desir●d that seek I will That in the LORDS house all my lif● I may dwell ever still There to behold the beauty of the Lord with great desire And in his Temple constantlie with wisdome to enquire verse 5 For his pavilion shall me hide in time of trouble great He shall me hide in secret tents and on a rock me set verse 6 And now my head shall be with speed at last uplifted hie Above my cruell en'mies all which round about me be Therefore I in his Tabernacle of joy now offer will The sacrifices to the Lord I will sing praises still verse 7 O Lord hear when I with my voice most humbly cry to thee Upon me also mercy have and answere now thou me verse 8 When thou didst say Seek ye always my face in every place My heart again said unto thee LORD I will seek thy face verse 9 Hide not thy blessed face at all far from me any way Nor yet thou in thine anger hot thy servant put away O God of my salvation dear thou for thy mercies sake Hast been mine help O l●ave me● nor yet me now forsake verse 10 When father and my mother forsake me more or lesse Then will the LORD assuredly me take up in distresse verse 11 Teach me thy way O Lord and me alwayes in the path That 's plain because against me sti● mine en'mies are in wrath verse 12 Unto the will of th'enmies of deliver not thou me For false men ' gainst me rise and s● as breath out crueltie verse 13 I fainted had unlesse that I beleeved had to see The Lords great goodnesse in the● of them that living be verse 14 Wait on the Lord most stedfastly good courage have alway And he shal strengthen wel thine heart wait on the Lord I say PSAL. XXVIII O Lord my rock to thee I 'll cry not silent be to me Lest I be like men down in pit if thou now silent be verse 2 My supplications voice hear thou when I unto thee cry When to thine holy Oracle mine hands I lift on hye verse 3 With wicked men and doers ill draw thou me not apart Which speak peace to their neighbours still but mischief 's in their heart verse 4 Give them according to their deeds and
wickednesse at heart After the work of their own hands them render their desert verse 5 Because Gods works they not regard not th' operation all Ev'n of his hands he them destr●● but not build up he shall verse 6 Now blessed be the LORD alw● because that surely he Hath of my supplications all the voice heard from on hie verse 7 The LORD he is my onely stre● and shield in time of need My heart in him did trust and I am helped well indeed Therefore my heart doth greatly rejoice the saints among And al 's I will most thankfully him praise still with my song verse 8 The LORD is still the onely stre● of all those who are his And he the saving strength also of his Anointed is verse 9 Thy people save and richly bles● thine heritage together Feed them also by thy great migh● and lift them up for ever PSALME XXIX WIth all your heart give to the Lord O ye that mighty be Both strength and glory give unto the LORD that is most Hie. Unto the Lord the glory due unto his Name accord ● the beauty of holinesse now worship ye the Lord. The Lords voice on the waters is the GOD of glory great ● hundreth aloud the Lord doth on those many waters sit The voice of the almightie LORD is powerfull as we see ●he voice ev'n of the LORD alwaies is full of Majestie The voice of the Almighty LORD doth break the Cedars tall ● a Cedars great in Lebanon God breaks in pieces small He makes them like a calf to skip the loftie Lebanon And like an Unicorn that 's young the mountain Sirion verse 7 The voice of the Almightie Lo●● when he is in his ire Doth fiercely strike cut and divi●● the hotest flams of fire verse 8 The voice of the LORD migh● the wildernesse doth shake The wildernesse of Kadesh he to tremble all doth make verse 9 The Lord his voice makes Hi● discovering forrests bare And in his Temple every one his glory doth declare verse 10 The Lord most glorious sits the flood which he doth co● The LORD in a great Majestie● still sitteth King for ever verse 11 The LORD will give his str● the Lord wil never cease To blesse his people alwaies w● prosperitie and peace PSALME XXX EXtoll thee Lord I will for thou hast lift me up on hie And hast not made my scorning foes for to rejoice ov'r me verse 2 O Lord my God in trouble great I cryed unto thee And thou in mercie of my hurt at last hast healed me verse 3 Lord thou my soul up from the grave hast brought as thou though'st fit Thou hast me kept alive that I go not down to the pit verse 4 Oye his saints unto the Lord now sing with chearfulnesse And at the remembrance give thanks of all his holinesse verse 5 His anger for a moment lasts his favour life doth bring Tears in the night may be but joy comes in the morning spring verse 6 And I most foolish rashly said in my prosperitie I am so stablish'd fast that I shall never moved be verse 7 Lord by thy favour thou hast m● my mountain in its place Strong for to stand I troubled wa● when thou didst hide thy face verse 8 O LORD I unto thee alwayes most fervently did cry And I my supplication made unto the LORD most hie verse 9 What profite is there in my blo● when naked I and bare Go down to pit Shal dust thee p● shall it thy truth declare verse 10 Now hear me Lord for it is ● and on me mercy have In this distresse Lord be thou still my helper me to save verse 11 My mourning into dancing no● is turned all by thee Thou hast put off my sackcloath with gladnesse girded me verse 12 To th' end my tōgue may to thee sing praise and not silent be O LORD my GOD for ever I will thanks give unto thee PSAL. XXXI LOrd let me never be asham'd who puts my trust in thee Now in thy perfect righteousnesse do thou deliver me verse 2 Bow down thine ear to me with speed let me deliv'rance have Be thou my strong rock for an house of defence me to save verse 3 For thou in dangers art my rock and fortresse on each side Therefore me lead for thy Names sake and wisely still me guide Pull me out of the net that they laide for me privily For thou alone art my great strength whereon I do rely verse 5 Into thine hand I do commit my sprite which came from thee O LORD who art the GOD of trut● thou hast redeemed me verse 6 I have them hated with my heart that in their wayes unjust Still lying vanities regard but in the LORD I trust verse 7 I in thy mercy will rejoice for thou my miseries Considered hast and known my fou● in great adversities verse 8 And hast not shut me up into his hand that is my foe Thou hast my feet most freely set in a large rowm to goe verse 9 Have mercy upon me O Lord for in trouble am I Mine eye with grief consum'd is my soul and my belly verse 10 For my whole life with grief is sp● and yeers with sighs and grones My strength doth fail and for my sin● consumed are my bones verse 11 I a reproach was to my foes to neighbours speciallie And to mine acquaintance a fear who saw me fled from me verse 12 I am forgoten as a man that 's out of minde and dead also like a vessell am that 's broken all indeed verse 13 Of many I the slander heard each where me fear supprisde While they took counsell they my life to take away devisde But I O Lord in thee alwayes did trust with all my heart And the in great confidence mine only God thou art ● yea times are in thy hand now from ●y foes hands set me free And frō all them who with great rage are persecuting me Thy glorious face to shine upon thy servant brightly make And save me in my troubles great ev'n for thy mercies sake verse 17 Let me not be asham'd O Lor● for on thee call'd I have Let wicked men be all asham'd and silent in the grave verse 18 All lying lips to silence put which greevous things do spe● Both proudly and contemptuously ' gainst righteous men and meek verse 19 How great 's thy goodnes which ● laid up for who thee fear And wrought for thē that in thee ● before mens children here verse 20 Thou shalt them in the secret hi● of thy presence from wrongs Of mans pride and close in a tent them keep from strife of tongue verse 21 For ever blessed be the Lord for he to me so long Hath shew'd his kindnesse marvel● within a citie strong verse 22 For I said in my hast I am cut off before thine eye Neverthelesse thou heardst my voice when I cri'd unto thee verse 23 O love the Lord all ye his Saints for God the faithfull guards
