that_o day_n 8_o nor_o be_v it_o say_v that_o the_o disciple_n meet_v together_o the_o night_n after_o the_o first_o day_n but_o it_o be_v express_o say_v to_o be_v upon_o the_o first_o day_n of_o the_o week_n and_o suppose_v as_o mr._n brabourne_n say_v that_o their_o meeting_n be_v noâ—_n together_o in_o the_o morning_n but_o only_o in_o the_o evening_n time_n to_o celebrate_v the_o lord_n supper_n a_o little_a before_o the_o shut_n in_o of_o the_o day_n yet_o it_o be_v a_o sufficient_a ground_n for_o conscience_n to_o observe_v this_o day_n above_o any_o other_o for_o holy_a service_n although_o every_o part_n of_o the_o day_n be_v not_o fill_v up_o with_o public_a &_o church_n duty_n for_o suppose_v the_o levite_n on_o the_o jewish_a sabbath_n shall_v do_v no_o holy_a public_a duty_n on_o their_o own_o sabbath_n until_o the_o day_n be_v far_o â—pent_v will_v mr._n brabourne_n argue_v from_o thence_o that_o the_o jewish_a sabbath_n be_v not_o whole_o holy_a unto_o god_n saint_n yet_o why_o do_v the_o apostle_n here_o limit_v they_o to_o this_o day_n for_o the_o performance_n of_o this_o duty_n they_o that_o translate_v 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d upon_o one_o day_n of_o the_o week_n do_v miserable_o mistake_v the_o phrase_n which_o in_o scripture_n phrase_n only_o signify_v the_o first_o day_n of_o it_o and_o beat_v their_o forehead_n against_o the_o main_a scope_n of_o the_o apostle_n viz._n to_o fix_v a_o certain_a day_n for_o such_o a_o duty_n as_o require_v such_o a_o certain_a time_n for_o they_o may_v by_o this_o translation_n collect_v their_o benevolence_n one_o day_n in_o four_o or_o ten_o year_n for_o than_o it_o shall_v be_v do_v one_o day_n in_o a_o week_n 2_o the_o apostle_n do_v not_o only_o limit_v they_o to_o this_o time_n but_o also_o all_o the_o church_n of_o galatia_n verse_n 1._o and_o consequent_o all_o other_o church_n if_o that_o be_v true_a 2_o cor._n 8.13_o 14._o wherein_o the_o apostle_n profess_v he_o press_v not_o the_o sabbath_n day_n or_o of_o the_o christian_a sabbath_n thesis_n 51._o the_o consideration_n of_o this_o scripture_n have_v cause_v some_o very_o judicious_a viz._n beza_n junius_n and_o other_o suppose_v the_o evangelist_n to_o speak_v thesis_n 52._o but_o if_o the_o several_a text_n be_v due_o examine_v right_o compare_v and_o sincere_o interpret_v there_o will_v not_o appear_v a_o clock_n may_v be_v say_v to_o be_v do_v that_o day_n but_o it_o will_v not_o follow_v that_o they_o be_v therefore_o do_v in_o the_o begin_n of_o that_o day_n i_o meet_v with_o two_o exception_n here_o 1._o some_o say_v that_o it_o may_v be_v mean_v of_o the_o artificial_a day_n if_o the_o word_n have_v run_v thus_o viz._n at_o the_o dawn_v of_o the_o day_n or_o the_o first_o day_n of_o the_o week_n about_o the_o dawn_n of_o the_o day_n but_o the_o dawn_n towards_o the_o first_o day_n this_o phrase_n they_o say_v seem_v to_o describe_v beginning_n of_o such_o a_o day_n aâ—_n stand_v in_o relation_n to_o the_o whole_a week_n and_o all_o the_o other_o day_n of_o the_o week_n which_o be_v to_o be_v take_v for_o natural_a day_n but_o 1._o there_o be_v i_o hope_v a_o first_o artificial_a day_n of_o the_o week_n as_o well_o as_o a_o natural_a 2._o this_o artificial_a day_n do_v not_o in_o this_o account_n exclude_v the_o night_n before_o as_o part_v of_o this_o first_o day_n and_o consequent_o the_o natural_a day_n consist_v of_o night_n and_o light_n therefore_o it_o may_v well_o stand_v in_o relation_n to_o the_o other_o day_n of_o the_o week_n which_o be_v natural_a for_o although_o the_o evangelist_n set_v down_o particular_o when_o these_o thing_n about_o the_o resurrection_n of_o christ_n happen_v to_o be_v viz._n at_o the_o dawn_n towards_o the_o first_o day_n of_o the_o week_n yet_o we_o that_o begin_v the_o sabbath_n at_o evening_n may_v and_o do_v use_v the_o same_o phrase_n and_o yet_o so_o speak_v of_o the_o artificial_a day_n upon_o which_o some_o event_n begin_v as_o not_o to_o exclude_v the_o night_n before_o upon_o which_o the_o natural_a day_n begin_v 3._o compare_v the_o evangelist_n and_o the_o dawn_n in_o matthew_n towards_o the_o first_o day_n will_v be_v find_v to_o be_v all_o one_o with_o this_o phrase_n viz._n the_o first_o day_n about_o or_o at_o the_o dawn_n of_o it_o for_o that_o which_o matthew_n call_v dawn_v to_o the_o first_o day_n mark_n call_v early_o in_o the_o morning_n the_o first_o day_n of_o the_o week_n at_o the_o rise_n of_o the_o sun_n and_o luke_n call_v upon_o the_o first_o day_n of_o the_o week_n very_o early_o in_o the_o morning_n whence_o it_o be_v evident_a that_o matthews_n drown_fw-mi to_o the_o first_o day_n be_v all_o one_o with_o about_o the_o rise_n of_o the_o sun_n upon_o the_o first_o day_n so_o that_o this_o difference_n between_o dawn_v towards_o the_o first_o day_n and_o dawn_v upon_o the_o first_o day_n seem_v to_o be_v a_o english_a cabalism_n and_o a_o mere_a curiosity_n exhale_v and_o extract_v out_o of_o the_o word_n rather_o than_o any_o solid_a truth_n which_o the_o text_n hold_v forth_o or_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n aim_v at_o 2._o a_o second_o exception_n be_v that_o though_o the_o word_n day_n in_o scripture_n be_v take_v for_o the_o artificial_a day_n yet_o never_o when_o the_o word_n first_o second_o or_o three_o day_n etc._n etc._n be_v join_v together_o and_o they_o point_v we_o to_o the_o first_o of_o genesis_n where_o when_o the_o first_o or_o second_o day_n be_v mention_v it_o be_v constant_o mean_v of_o a_o natural_a and_o not_o a_o artificial_a day_n but_o 1._o this_o be_v a_o great_a mistake_n for_o the_o day_n for_o the_o levite_n travel_n which_o be_v not_o in_o the_o night_n but_o upon_o the_o artificial_a day_n be_v call_v comprehend_v also_o which_o they_o plead_v for_o the_o same_o day_n which_o artificial_o begin_v at_o daylight_n may_v natural_o begin_v the_o night_n before_o thesis_n 54._o if_o we_o shall_v suppose_v that_o this_o day_n be_v mean_v of_o the_o artificial_a day_n yet_o there_o be_v a_o hard_a knot_n to_o be_v unloose_v in_o the_o word_n of_o matthew_n who_o affirm_v that_o this_o be_v moral_a for_o if_o they_o think_v it_o irrational_a that_o because_o a_o particular_a seven_o day_n be_v require_v that_o therefore_o a_o seven_o day_n more_o general_n can_v be_v command_v why_o be_v it_o not_o as_o irrational_a upon_o the_o same_o ground_n to_o exclude_v a_o time_n a_o day_n also_o sure_o a_o seven_o day_n lie_v near_o the_o bosom_n of_o a_o particular_a seven_o and_o be_v of_o near_a kin_n to_o it_o then_o a_o day_n and_o i_o marvel_v that_o they_o shall_v gather_v a_o solemn_a time_n and_o day_n of_o worship_n which_o be_v more_o general_a rather_o than_o a_o seven_o out_o of_o that_o particular_a day_n as_o not_o possible_o to_o be_v intend_v although_o in_o a_o manner_n express_v in_o the_o commandment_n itself_o i_o know_v there_o be_v some_o who_o think_v
