always_o concur_v together_o faith_n as_o the_o action_n which_o apprehend_v christ_n as_o the_o object_n which_o be_v apprehend_v for_o neither_o do_v the_o passion_n of_o christ_n save_v without_o faith_n not_o christ_n without_o faith_n save_v not_o fayth_n without_o christ_n help_v not_o neither_o do_v faith_n help_v except_o it_o be_v in_o christ_n as_o we_o see_v the_o body_n of_o man_n receive_v the_o light_n so_o the_o passion_n of_o christ_n be_v the_o efficient_a cause_n of_o salvation_n but_o faith_n be_v the_o condition_n whereby_o the_o say_a passion_n be_v to_o we_o effectual_a wherein_o grace_n election_n vocation_n christ_n death_n cause_v extern_a of_o our_o salvation_n fayth_n the_o only_a intern_a cause_n of_o man_n salvation_n faith_n be_v a_o action_n in_o man_n but_o not_o of_o man_n virtue_n and_o work_n of_o charitye_n though_o they_o be_v good_a gift_n of_o god_n in_o man_n yet_o they_o serve_v not_o to_o justification_n faith_n take_v his_o dignity_n of_o his_o object_n look_v up_o to_o the_o brazen_a serpent_n and_o believe_v upon_o the_o body_n of_o christ_n compare_v the_o error_n of_o the_o papist_n pervert_v the_o mind_n of_o god_n testament_n how_o and_o wherein_o and_o that_o be_v the_o cause_n why_o we_o say_v with_o the_o scripture_n that_o faith_n only_o justifi_v we_o not_o exclude_v thereby_o all_o other_o extern_a cause_n that_o go_v before_o faith_n as_o grace_n mercy_n election_n vocation_n the_o death_n of_o christ_n etc._n etc._n all_o which_o be_v extern_a cause_n work_v our_o salvation_n through_o faith_n but_o when_o we_o say_v that_o faith_n only_o justifi_v we_o the_o meaning_n thereof_o be_v this_o that_o of_o all_o internal_a action_n motion_n or_o operation_n in_o man_n give_v to_o he_o of_o god_n there_o be_v none_o other_o that_o content_v &_o please_v god_n or_o stand_v before_o his_o judgement_n or_o can_v help_v any_o thing_n to_o the_o justify_n of_o man_n before_o he_o but_o only_o this_o one_o action_n of_o faith_n in_o jesus_n christ_n the_o son_n of_o god_n for_o although_o the_o action_n of_o pray_v fast_a alm_n patience_n charity_n repentance_n the_o fear_n and_o love_n of_o god_n be_v high_a gift_n in_o man_n and_o not_o of_o man_n give_v of_o god_n to_o man_n yet_o be_v none_o of_o all_o these_o action_n in_o man_n impute_v of_o god_n to_o salvation_n but_o only_o this_o one_o action_n of_o faith_n in_o man_n upon_o christ_n jesus_n the_o son_n
