be_v to_o receive_v respect_n and_o entertain_v the_o word_n of_o god_n as_o a_o decree_n wise_o give_v forth_o by_o he_o but_o also_o to_o study_v to_o obey_v it_o in_o practice_n constant_o upon_o all_o occasion_n bless_a be_v they_o that_o keep_v judgement_n and_o he_o that_o do_v righteousness_n at_o all_o time_n ver._n 4._o remember_v i_o o_o lord_n with_o the_o favour_n that_o thou_o bear_v unto_o thy_o people_n o_o visit_v i_o with_o thy_o salvation_n 5._o that_o i_o may_v see_v the_o good_a of_o thy_o choose_a that_o i_o may_v rejoice_v in_o the_o gladness_n of_o thy_o nation_n that_o i_o may_v glory_v with_o thy_o inheritance_n the_o four_o mean_n of_o stir_v up_o himself_o and_o other_o to_o believe_v in_o god_n especial_o in_o this_o time_n of_o the_o presuppose_a calamity_n of_o the_o church_n and_o of_o the_o supplicant_n be_v prayer_n to_o god_n for_o a_o new_a proof_n of_o the_o love_a kindness_n which_o god_n bear_v to_o his_o people_n in_o all_o age_n whence_o learn_v 1._o whatsoever_o be_v the_o outward_a afflict_a estate_n of_o god_n people_n yet_o they_o be_v still_o belove_v still_o in_o favour_n even_o when_o token_n of_o anger_n by_o public_a calamity_n be_v manifest_v against_o they_o remember_v i_o with_o the_o favour_n which_o thou_o bear_v unto_o thy_o people_n 2._o there_o need_v no_o more_o felicity_n unto_o any_o man_n save_v to_o be_v one_o of_o god_n people_n it_o may_v content_v any_o man_n to_o have_v his_o lot_n with_o the_o child_n of_o god_n in_o whatsoever_o condition_n they_o be_v put_v into_o for_o the_o psalmist_n crave_v no_o more_o but_z remember_v i_o o_o lord_n with_o the_o favour_n which_o thou_o bear_v unto_o thy_o people_n 3._o albeit_o the_o lord_n people_n seem_v to_o be_v forget_v yet_o the_o lord_n will_v make_v evident_a that_o he_o do_v not_o forget_v they_o nor_o any_o one_o of_o they_o remember_v i_o o_o lord_n with_o the_o favour_n which_o thou_o bear_v unto_o thy_o people_n 4._o such_o as_o do_v share_n with_o god_n people_n in_o their_o grief_n shall_v be_v partaker_n also_o of_o their_o consolation_n deliverance_n and_o salvation_n which_o god_n have_v wise_o prepare_v for_o they_o therefore_o pray_v the_o psalmist_n o_o visit_v i_o with_o thy_o salvation_n etc._n etc._n 5._o as_o there_o be_v time_n wherein_o god_n declare_v his_o displeasure_n against_o the_o sin_n of_o his_o people_n so_o there_o be_v time_n when_o he_o remove_v the_o token_n of_o his_o displeasure_n and_o let_v forth_o the_o evidence_n of_o his_o love_n and_o respect_n to_o they_o in_o do_v they_o good_a make_v they_o glad_a and_o cause_v they_o to_o glory_n in_o he_o this_o be_v it_o which_o the_o psalmist_n look_v after_o visit_v i_o with_o thy_o salvation_n that_o i_o may_v see_v the_o good_a of_o thy_o choose_a that_o i_o may_v rejoice_v in_o the_o gladness_n of_o thy_o nation_n that_o i_o may_v glory_v with_o thy_o inheritance_n 6._o the_o near_a interest_n which_o god_n have_v in_o his_o people_n and_o which_o they_o have_v in_o he_o be_v a_o solid_a ground_n of_o hope_n of_o good_a and_o gladness_n joy_n and_o gloriation_n reserve_v for_o they_o for_o they_o be_v god_n choose_v god_n nation_n appropriate_a unto_o he_o and_o his_o inheritance_n to_o remain_v in_o his_o possession_n from_o generation_n to_o generation_n whereupon_o the_o psalmist_n do_v assure_v himself_o and_o the_o church_n of_o his_o hope_n of_o good_a reserve_v for_o the_o church_n that_o i_o may_v see_v the_o good_a of_o thy_o choose_a etc._n etc._n ver._n 6._o we_o have_v sin_v with_o our_o father_n we_o have_v commit_v iniquity_n we_o have_v do_v wicked_o in_o the_o second_o place_n be_v the_o confession_n of_o sin_n for_o which_o god_n just_o may_v afflict_v the_o supplicant_n but_o in_o his_o mercy_n can_v forgive_v they_o also_o as_o he_o have_v do_v to_o his_o people_n in_o former_a generation_n the_o force_n of_o his_o reason_n be_v this_o many_o time_n thou_o do_v show_v mercy_n to_o our_o father_n in_o their_o affliction_n notwithstanding_o their_o grievous_a provocation_n therefore_o we_o must_v entreat_v thou_o yea_o and_o hope_v also_o for_o the_o like_a mercy_n in_o our_o time_n whence_o learn_v 1._o it_o be_v not_o for_o nought_o that_o the_o lord_n bring_v calamity_n on_o his_o people_n he_o be_v provoke_v so_o to_o do_v by_o their_o grievous_a offence_n we_o have_v sin_v 2._o as_o judgement_n be_v send_v to_o convince_v of_o sin_n and_o to_o draw_v forth_o the_o acknowledgement_n thereof_o so_o there_o be_v no_o ready_a way_n to_o remove_v the_o sin_n and_o judgement_n also_o then_o by_o confession_n thereof_o we_o have_v sin_v 3._o as_o god_n when_o he_o punish_v his_o people_n do_v reckon_v with_o they_o both_o for_o their_o own_o and_o also_o for_o their_o father_n fault_n who_o footstep_n they_o have_v follow_v so_o must_v the_o penitent_a reckon_v with_o god_n for_o their_o own_o fault_n and_o for_o their_o father_n sin_n whereunto_o they_o have_v accession_n we_o have_v sin_v with_o our_o father_n etc._n etc._n 4._o confession_n of_o sin_n must_v not_o be_v slight_v but_o serious_o go_v about_o and_o aggravate_v due_o
