degenerate_v from_o the_o primitive_a strictness_n and_o genuine_a design_n of_o christianity_n repentance_n when_o it_o come_v to_o be_v turn_v into_o a_o slight_a penance_n become_v a_o very_a common_a and_o perfunctory_a and_o easy_a matter_n and_o man_n begin_v the_o round_a of_o sin_v and_o repent_v repent_v and_o sin_v and_o of_o take_v it_o as_o a_o sort_n of_o stand_a physic_n to_o be_v repeat_v toties_fw-la quoties_fw-la and_o take_v perhaps_o at_o some_o set_a time_n or_o spring_n and_o fall_v and_o that_o this_o be_v sufficient_a though_o they_o live_v in_o their_o vice_n upon_o a_o little_a sudden_a sorrow_n miscall_v repentance_n now_o and_o then_o for_o they_o but_o to_o encourage_v we_o whole_o to_o leave_v they_o upon_o the_o hope_n and_o assurance_n of_o pardon_n when_o we_o do_v so_o and_o to_o engage_v we_o to_o the_o practice_n of_o obedience_n and_o a_o holy_a life_n ever_o after_o which_o be_v the_o only_a thing_n which_o make_v we_o true_a christian_n and_o entitle_v to_o the_o happiness_n and_o salvation_n of_o another_o world_n and_o let_v no_o man_n deceive_v himself_o and_o think_v he_o shall_v have_v the_o benefit_n of_o repentance_n who_o be_v not_o make_v a_o good_a man_n by_o it_o or_o think_v repent_v and_o sorrow_v at_o the_o last_o will_v do_v the_o business_n instead_o of_o a_o good_a life_n or_o that_o without_o actual_a holiness_n and_o obedience_n he_o can_v see_v god_n or_o enter_v into_o heaven_n and_o let_v none_o fall_v into_o that_o other_o mistake_n as_o prejudicial_a to_o religion_n to_o think_v a_o man_n that_o live_v innocent_o and_o virtuous_o and_o religious_o all_o his_o day_n and_o perform_v a_o constant_a unbroken_a obedience_n to_o god_n all_o his_o life_n shall_v not_o be_v more_o accept_v by_o god_n and_o more_o high_o reward_v by_o he_o than_o he_o that_o have_v live_v wicked_o and_o be_v a_o prodigal_n though_o he_o return_v and_o repent_v in_o time_n and_o be_v pardon_v and_o accept_v by_o god_n for_o though_o such_o a_o one_o shall_v be_v kind_o and_o gracious_o receive_v by_o his_o heavenly_a father_n and_o with_o all_o demonstration_n of_o love_n and_o compassion_n be_v embrace_v and_o treat_v by_o he_o and_o own_a to_o be_v his_o son_n and_o receive_v again_o into_o his_o family_n yet_o he_o that_o never_o leave_v his_o father_n house_n but_o be_v always_o with_o below_o the_o thing_n so_o at_o other_o time_n they_o be_v as_o much_o too_o high_a and_o give_v precept_n that_o be_v too_o big_a and_o not_o at_o all_o fit_v to_o the_o size_n and_o scantling_n of_o our_o present_a state_n or_o the_o make_v of_o humane_a nature_n they_o be_v not_o only_o for_o wise_o moderate_v and_o govern_v but_o quite_o root_a all_o passion_n and_o affection_n whatever_o out_o of_o their_o wise_a man_n which_o be_v to_o make_v he_o not_o a_o man_n or_o such_o a_o creature_n with_o such_o faculty_n and_o power_n as_o god_n think_v for_o wise_a reason_n fit_a to_o do_v this_o be_v not_o to_o improve_v but_o destroy_v human_a nature_n and_o to_o set_v virtue_n beyond_o its_o pitch_n and_o out_o of_o its_o reach_n which_o our_o saviour_n who_o know_v our_o frame_n and_o lay_v aside_o all_o prudent_a care_n about_o the_o thing_n of_o this_o world_n all_o will_v be_v put_v into_o a_o dead_a hand_n and_o that_o will_v quick_o make_v a_o dead_a body_n if_o it_o be_v
