that_o true_o believe_v which_o be_v the_o undoubted_a word_n of_o god_n and_o if_o this_o assumption_n be_v true_a also_o but_o i_o through_o god_n mercy_n do_v true_o believe_v which_o be_v certain_o true_a in_o all_o the_o faithful_a then_o this_o conclusion_n can_v be_v false_a therefore_o christ_n be_v my_o saviour_n whereupon_o follow_v the_o plerophory_n of_o hope_n that_o see_v he_o be_v my_o saviour_n therefore_o i_o do_v assure_o hope_v for_o salvation_n by_o he_o 3_o that_o he_o make_v the_o assurance_n of_o faith_n to_o be_v a_o consequent_a of_o that_o assurance_n of_o trust_n which_o be_v nothing_o else_o but_o 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d the_o assurance_n of_o hope_n the_o contrary_a whereof_o be_v true_a for_o as_o hope_n be_v a_o consequent_a and_o fruit_n of_o faith_n so_o from_o the_o assurance_n of_o faith_n proceed_v the_o assurance_n of_o affiance_n and_o hope_n and_o according_a to_o the_o measure_n and_o degree_n of_o that_o be_v the_o measure_n and_o degree_n of_o this_o neither_o be_v it_o possible_a that_o a_o man_n shall_v have_v a_o full_a affiance_n whole_o and_o perfect_o to_o trust_v to_o the_o promise_n to_o â—e_v perform_v to_o himself_o who_o be_v not_o first_o full_o assure_v that_o the_o promise_n do_v belong_v unto_o himself_o and_o therefore_o it_o be_v but_o a_o cold_a comfort_n to_o be_v give_v to_o a_o man_n distress_v in_o conscience_n to_o tell_v he_o that_o if_o he_o have_v affiance_n to_o trust_v whole_o and_o perfect_o to_o the_o promise_n for_o remission_n of_o sin_n he_o have_v faith_n though_o he_o have_v not_o full_a assurance_n but_o miserable_a comforter_n be_v they_o who_o teach_v as_o this_o man_n do_v not_o that_o where_o be_v not_o full_a assurance_n there_o be_v no_o faith_n but_o if_o we_o desire_v to_o minister_v true_a comfort_n to_o the_o distress_a conscience_n perplex_v with_o doubt_n concern_v faith_n we_o must_v unteach_v these_o doctrine_n either_o that_o justify_v faith_n be_v a_o assurance_n of_o remission_n and_o much_o less_o a_o full_a assurance_n or_o that_o it_o be_v affiance_n much_o less_o a_o full_a affiance_n trust_v whole_o to_o the_o promise_n for_o the_o performance_n of_o it_o to_o a_o man_n self_n which_o can_v be_v have_v unless_o thou_o have_v the_o like_a assurance_n that_o the_o promise_n do_v belong_v to_o thou_o for_o indeed_o that_o faith_n by_o which_o we_o be_v justify_v before_o god_n be_v neither_o assurance_n proper_o nor_o affiance_n for_o assurance_n be_v the_o second_o degree_n of_o faith_n by_o which_o we_o be_v not_o justify_v before_o god_n but_o in_o the_o court_n of_o our_o own_o conscience_n and_o affiance_n be_v a_o fruit_n and_o consequent_a of_o both_o ask_v then_o the_o party_n distress_v this_o question_n do_v thou_o believe_v that_o the_o promise_n of_o the_o gospel_n concern_v remission_n and_o salvation_n do_v belong_v to_o thou_o if_o thou_o do_v than_o thou_o have_v assurance_n that_o christ_n be_v thy_o saviour_n and_o that_o by_o he_o thou_o have_v remission_n and_o that_o by_o he_o thou_o shall_v be_v save_v if_o he_o can_v affirm_v that_o he_o believe_v the_o promise_n to_o belong_v unto_o he_o never_o go_v about_o to_o persuade_v he_o that_o he_o trust_v to_o the_o performance_n of_o the_o promise_n â—nto_fw-mi himself_o but_o ask_v he_o again_o do_v thou_o true_o believe_v that_o jesus_n the_o son_n of_o the_o bless_a virgin_n be_v the_o eternal_a son_n of_o god_n and_o saviour_n of_o all_o that_o trâ—â—y_v believe_v in_o he_o if_o he_o say_v he_o do_v so_o â—â—ll_v he_o then_o thou_o have_v the_o condition_n of_o the_o promise_n therefore_o thou_o may_v and_o thou_o must_v undoubted_o conclude_v that_o he_o be_v thy_o saviour_n and_o that_o thou_o shall_v be_v save_v by_o he_o if_o hâ—_n say_v 〈◊〉_d doubt_v whether_o he_o do_v true_o believe_v that_o christ_n be_v the_o
