namely_o humane_a and_o positive_a law_n together_o with_o that_o law_n which_o be_v of_o commerce_n between_o grand_a society_n the_o law_n of_o nation_n and_o of_o nation_n christian_a for_o which_o cause_n the_o law_n of_o god_n have_v likewise_o say_v let_v every_o soul_n be_v subject_a to_o the_o high_a power_n 13.1_o the_o public_a power_n of_o all_o society_n be_v above_o every_o soul_n contain_v in_o the_o same_o society_n and_o the_o principal_a use_n of_o that_o power_n be_v to_o give_v law_n unto_o all_o that_o be_v under_o it_o which_o law_n in_o such_o case_n we_o must_v obey_v and_o what_o the_o true_a force_n of_o each_o law_n be_v all_o these_o controversy_n may_v have_v die_v the_o very_a day_n they_o be_v first_o bring_v forth_o it_o be_v both_o common_o say_v and_o true_o that_o the_o best_a man_n otherwise_o be_v not_o always_o the_o best_a in_o regard_n of_o society_n the_o reason_n whereof_o be_v for_o that_o the_o law_n of_o man_n action_n be_v one_o if_o they_o be_v respect_v only_o as_o man_n and_o another_o when_o they_o be_v consider_v as_o part_n of_o a_o politic_a body_n 3._o many_o man_n there_o be_v than_o who_o nothing_o be_v more_o commendable_a when_o they_o be_v single_v and_o yet_o in_o society_n with_o other_o none_o less_o fit_a to_o answer_v the_o duty_n which_o be_v look_v for_o at_o their_o hand_n yea_o i_o be_o persuade_v that_o of_o they_o with_o who_o in_o this_o cause_n we_o strive_v there_o be_v who_o better_v among_o man_n will_v be_v hardly_o find_v if_o they_o do_v not_o live_v among_o man_n but_o in_o some_o wilderness_n by_o themselves_o the_o cause_n of_o which_o their_o disposition_n so_o unframable_a unto_o society_n wherein_o they_o live_v be_v for_o that_o they_o discern_v not_o aright_o what_o place_n and_o force_v these_o several_a kind_n of_o law_n ought_v to_o have_v in_o all_o their_o action_n be_v there_o question_n either_o concern_v the_o regiment_n of_o the_o church_n in_o general_a or_o about_o conformity_n between_o one_o church_n and_o another_o or_o of_o ceremony_n office_n power_n jurisdiction_n in_o our_o own_o church_n of_o all_o these_o thing_n they_o judge_v by_o that_o râ—le_n which_o they_o frame_v to_o themselves_o with_o some_o show_n of_o probability_n and_o what_o seem_v in_o that_o sort_n convenient_a the_o same_o they_o think_v themselves_o bind_v to_o practice_v the_o same_o by_o all_o mean_v they_o labour_v mighty_o to_o uphold_v whatsoever_o any_o law_n of_o man_n to_o the_o contrary_n have_v determine_v they_o weigh_v it_o not_o thus_o by_o follow_v the_o law_n of_o private_a reason_n where_o the_o law_n of_o public_a shall_v take_v place_n they_o breed_v disturbance_n for_o the_o better_a inuring_n therefore_o of_o man_n mind_n with_o the_o true_a distinction_n of_o law_n and_o of_o their_o several_a force_n according_a to_o the_o different_a kind_n and_o quality_n of_o our_o action_n it_o shall_v noâ—_n peradventure_o be_v amiss_o that_o the_o whole_a christian_a world_n for_o ever_o aught_o to_o embrace_v it_o hereupon_o man_n term_v it_o the_o discipline_n of_o god_n howbeit_o examine_v sift_n and_o resolve_v their_o allege_v proof_n till_o you_o come_v to_o the_o very_a root_n from_o whence_o they_o spring_v the_o heart_n wherein_o their_o strength_n lie_v and_o it_o shall_v clear_o appear_v unto_o any_o man_n of_o pass_v that_o they_o which_o so_o peremptory_o do_v maintain_v that_o humane_a authority_n be_v nothing_o worth_a be_v in_o the_o cause_n which_o they_o favour_v so_o careful_a to_o have_v the_o common_a sort_n of_o man_n persuade_v that_o the_o wise_a the_o godly_a and_o the_o best_a learned_a in_o all_o christendom_n be_v that_o way_n give_v see_v they_o judge_v this_o to_o make_v nothing_o in_o the_o world_n for_o they_o again_o how_o come_v it_o to_o pass_v they_o can_v abide_v that_o authority_n shall_v be_v allege_v on_o the_o other_o side_n if_o there_o be_v no_o force_n at_o all_o not_o for_o they_o but_o against_o they_o rather_o which_o answer_n be_v nothing_o for_o in_o what_o place_n or_o upon_o what_o consideration_n soever_o it_o be_v they_o do_v it_o be_v it_o in_o thing_n be_v do_v voluntary_o by_o we_o which_o other_o creature_n do_v natural_o in_o as_o much_o as_o we_o may_v stay_v our_o do_v of_o they_o if_o we_o will_v beast_n natural_o do_v take_v their_o food_n and_o rest_n when_o it_o offer_v itself_o unto_o they_o if_o man_n do_v so_o too_o and_o can_v not_o do_v otherwise_o of_o themselves_o there_o be_v no_o place_n for_o any_o such_o reproof_n as_o that_o of_o our_o saviour_n christ_n unto_o his_o disciple_n can_v you_o not_o watch_v with_o i_o one_o hour_n 26.40_o that_o which_o be_v voluntary_o perform_v in_o thing_n tend_v to_o the_o end_n if_o it_o be_v well_o do_v must_v needs_o be_v do_v with_o deliberate_a consideration_n of_o some_o reasonable_a cause_n wherefore_o we_o rather_o shall_v do_v it_o they_o not_o whereupon_o it_o
