An Additional ARTICLE TO THE Laws of War and Ordinances of the Sea THat all Mariners and others imployed or which have been imployed in the Service of this Commonwealth in their Fleets or otherwise at Sea shall after the time of their respective Discharges demean themselves with all duty and respect to the publique Peace And if any person who hath been is or shall be so imployed hath committed or abetted or shall commit or abet any Mutinous or Seditious act whereby the peace of this Commonwealth may be or hath been indangered Every such person shall be proceeded against and suffer pains of Death or otherwise in the same sort and maner as by the Laws of War and Ordinances of the Sea already established he might have been proceeded against for any act of that nature in case of being in actual Service Provided That every person comprized within this Article be proceeded against within Three Moneths after the Offence committed and not otherwise Friday the Twenty eighth of October 1653. ORdered by the Parliament That this Additional Article to the Laws of VVar and Ordinances of the Sea be forthwith Printed and Published Hen Scobell Clerk of the Parliament London Printed by John Field Printer to the Parliament of England 1653.
