This order of Knight-hood was much esteemed for the honour received in the Field for Military service with great solemnity under the banner Royall displayed in the presence of the Soveraign and this hath been reputed a middle degree between Nobiles majores minores but of this dignity none hath been known alive in England since Sir Ralph Sadler c.
