they_o come_v for_o mr._n hume_n answer_v that_o they_o be_v inform_v that_o his_o grace_n be_v a_o merciful_a person_n that_o take_v no_o delight_n to_o shed_v blood_n and_o one_o that_o have_v power_n to_o do_v they_o good_a his_o grace_n make_v answer_v that_o he_o shall_v be_v very_o glad_a they_o will_v prevent_v the_o effusion_n of_o blood_n and_o to_o that_o end_n he_o be_v willing_a to_o hear_v what_o they_o propound_v to_o which_o mr._n hume_n reply_v that_o all_o their_o desire_n be_v contain_v in_o their_o declaration_n and_o be_v demand_v whether_o he_o mean_v the_o declaration_n that_o pass_v undertheir_o name_n and_o be_v set_v up_o and_o proclaim_v at_o rugland_n he_o answer_v god_n forbid_v they_o shall_v own_v that_o but_o the_o declaration_n he_o speak_v of_o be_v one_o they_o have_v late_o print_v a_o copy_n whereof_o he_o have_v with_o he_o and_o desire_a liberty_n to_o read_v it_o which_o be_v do_v his_o grace_n tell_v they_o that_o he_o suppose_v they_o will_v take_v it_o as_o a_o great_a proof_n of_o his_o clemency_n and_o forbearance_n towards_o they_o that_o he_o have_v patience_n to_o hear_v such_o a_o libel_n against_o the_o king_n person_n and_o government_n read_v quite_o through_o but_o that_o he_o find_v no_o one_o article_n in_o it_o that_o he_o can_v possible_o agree_v to_o and_o therefore_o will_v make_v they_o a_o much_o short_a proposal_n which_o be_v that_o if_o they_o will_v immediate_o lay_v down_o their_o arm_n and_o submit_v themselves_o to_o his_o majesty_n mercy_n the_o king_n force_n shall_v not_o fall_v upon_o they_o mr._n hume_n reply_v that_o it_o be_v impossible_a to_o agree_v to_o that_o for_o that_o it_o will_v be_v to_o lay_v their_o head_n upon_o the_o block_n whereupon_o his_o grace_n advise_v they_o to_o consider_v well_o what_o they_o have_v to_o do_v and_o to_o reflect_v a_o little_a whether_o that_o number_n of_o man_n show_v he_o the_o army_n as_o it_o be_v draw_v up_o
