notorious_o as_o if_o he_o have_v the_o art_n of_o lie_v and_o will_v be_v a_o teacher_n thereof_o unto_o other_o 2._o the_o second_o thing_n he_o object_v be_v apostasy_n because_o that_o many_o year_n since_o have_v receive_v this_o cause_n he_o do_v sometime_o yield_v to_o hear_v the_o ministry_n of_o the_o church_n of_o england_n but_o since_o that_o time_n have_v so_o approve_v himself_o among_o we_o both_o in_o the_o witness_n of_o the_o truth_n &_o in_o the_o service_n of_o the_o church_n as_o have_v be_v for_o the_o great_a help_n and_o comfort_n of_o we_o all_o and_o myself_o in_o because_o when_o he_o begin_v to_o set_v himself_o to_o be_v a_o enemy_n of_o this_o church_n and_o can_v not_o prevail_v as_o he_o desire_v he_o then_o begin_v to_o make_v question_n about_o person_n but_o do_v his_o duty_n to_o every_o soul_n as_o he_o will_v answer_v before_o the_o chief_a shepherd_n in_o the_o performance_n whereof_o also_o the_o pastor_n and_o other_o elder_n and_o governor_n of_o the_o church_n be_v to_o be_v account_v and_o regard_v as_o father_n but_o i_o will_v no_o further_o insist_v hereupon_o neither_o speak_v i_o these_o thing_n to_o excuse_v myself_o in_o any_o thing_n i_o have_v do_v or_o omit_v otherwise_o then_o i_o shall_v i_o acknowledge_v my_o sin_n be_v many_o and_o my_o infirmity_n great_a and_o my_o strength_n and_o salvation_n be_v only_o in_o the_o lord_n jesus_n for_o who_o sake_n i_o have_v through_o his_o mercy_n suffer_v much_o rebuke_n and_o i_o trust_v shall_v patient_o bear_v it_o to_o the_o end_n next_o he_o come_v to_o speak_v of_o the_o teacher_n who_o quality_n and_o duty_n be_v thus_o set_v down_o in_o the_o description_n aforesaid_a pag._n 3._o their_o doctor_n or_o teacher_n must_v be_v a_o man_n apt_a to_o teach_v able_a to_o divide_v the_o word_n of_o god_n aright_o and_o to_o deliver_v sound_a and_o wholesome_a doctrine_n from_o the_o same_o still_o build_v upon_o that_o sound_a groundwork_n he_o must_v be_v mighty_a in_o the_o scripture_n able_a to_o convince_v the_o gainsayer_n and_o careful_a to_o deliver_v his_o doctrine_n pure_a sound_a and_o plain_a not_o with_o curiosity_n or_o affectation_n but_o so_o that_o he_o may_v edify_v the_o most_o simple_a approve_v it_o to_o every_o man_n conscience_n he_o must_v be_v of_o life_n unreprovable_a one_o that_o can_v govern_v his_o own_o household_n he_o must_v be_v of_o manner_n sober_a temperate_a modest_a gentle_a and_o love_a etc._n etc._n and_o afterward_o pag._n 5._o his_o special_a care_n must_v be_v to_o build_v upon_o that_o only_a true_a groundwork_n gold_n silver_n and_o precious_a stone_n
