wit_n the_o frame_v a_o gospel_n or_o christ_n to_o themselves_o without_o a_o cross_n not_o profess_v nor_o practise_v that_o in_o old_a except_o of_o late_a in_o time_n of_o liberty_n which_o they_o profess_o come_v over_o to_o enjoy_v with_o peace_n and_o liberty_n from_o any_o cross_n of_o christ_n in_o new_a truth_n i_o know_v those_o thought_n have_v deep_o possess_v not_o a_o few_o consider_v also_o the_o sin_n of_o the_o patent_n wherein_o christian_a king_n so_o call_v be_v invest_v with_o right_a by_o virtue_n of_o their_o patent_n christianity_n to_o take_v and_o give_v away_o the_o land_n and_o country_n of_o other_o man_n as_o also_o consider_v the_o unchristian_a oath_n swallow_v down_o at_o their_o come_n forth_o from_o old_a england_n especial_o in_o superstitious_a land_n his_o time_n and_o domineer_a and_o i_o know_v these_o thought_n so_o deep_o afflict_v the_o soul_n and_o conscience_n of_o the_o discusser_n in_o the_o time_n of_o his_o walk_n in_o the_o way_n of_o new_a england_n worship_n that_o at_o last_o he_o come_v to_o a_o persuasion_n that_o such_o sin_n can_v not_o be_v expiate_v without_o return_v again_o into_o england_n or_o a_o public_a acknowledgement_n and_o confession_n new-england_n of_o the_o evil_n of_o so_o and_o so_o depart_v to_o this_o purpose_n before_o his_o trouble_n and_o banishment_n he_o draw_v up_o a_o letter_n not_o without_o the_o approbation_n of_o some_o of_o the_o chief_a of_o new-england_n then_o tender_v also_o upon_o this_o point_n before_o god_n direct_v unto_o the_o king_n himself_o humble_o acknowledge_v the_o evil_n of_o that_o part_n of_o the_o patent_n which_o respect_v the_o donation_n of_o land_n etc._n etc._n this_o letter_n and_o other_o endeavour_n tend_v to_o wash_v off_o public_a sin_n to_o give_v warning_n to_o other_o and_o above_o all_o to_o pacify_v and_o to_o give_v glory_n unto_o god_n it_o may_v be_v that_o council_n from_o flesh_n and_o blood_n suppress_v and_o worldly_a policy_n at_o last_o prevail_v for_o this_o very_a cause_n among_o other_o afterward_o re-examined_a to_o banish_v the_o discusser_n from_o such_o their_o coast_n and_o territory_n peace_n but_o from_o violence_n to_o the_o discusser_n or_o any_o other_o m_o r_o cotton_n in_o the_o next_o passage_n protest_v his_o innocence_n and_o insinuate_v the_o discusser_n to_o be_v
