XCVIII O Sing a new song to the LORD who hath done wonders great His right hand and his holy arme him victory did get verse 2 The Lord hath in his mercy great made his salvation known In heathens sight his righteousnesse he openlie hath shown verse 3 His mercy he remembred hath and truth to Israel The ends of all the earth have seen our GODS salvation well verse 4 O all the earth unto the LORD a joyfull noise now raise Yea make a loud noise and rejoice and gladly all sing praise verse 5 Unto the Lord now with the harp sing sweetly and rejoice Yea with the harp and also with a psalme in pleasant voice verse 6 With trumpets that most pleasant are the sound of cornets bring Together make a joyfull noise before the Lord the King verse 7 Al 's with its fulnesse let the sea most gladly roar and swell The world likewise that is most large and they that therein dwell verse 8 Now let the floods al clap their hands let hils rejoice together verse 9 Before the Lord for he doth come to judge the earth for ever With righteousnesse the world he shall judge as all men shall see And all the people of the earth also with equitie PSAL. XCIX THe Lord doth reign let trembling fear the people make to quake He sits between the Cherubims now let the earth all shake verse 2 The LORD is great in Zion and all people high above verse 3 Let them thy great dreadful name praise which doth holy prove verse 4 The kings strength also judgement loves thou setlest equity Thou right and judgement execut'st in Jacob constantly verse 5 The LORD our GOD with all your heart with praise exalt on hie And at his footstool worship low for holy still is He. verse 6 Moses and Aaron with his priests ' mongst them that on him call Was Samuel they call'd on the LORD and he them answerd all verse 7 He in the cloudy pillar spake to them they keeped have His testimonies and likewise the ord'nance he them gave verse 8 Thou answerdst them O Lord our God a God that them forgave Though thou of their inventions didst a heavy vengeance crave verse 9 With praise exalt the Lord our God and at his holy hill Him humbly worship for the LORD our GOD is holy still PSALME C. A Joyfull noise unto the LORD ye lands make more and more verse 2 Serve GOD with gladnes yea with songs his presence come before verse 3 Know that the Lord is God it 's he not we that made us heer We are his people and the sheep even of his pasture dear verse 4 With thanksgiving enter his gates and in his courts proclame His praise be thankfull unto him and blesse his holy Name verse 5 For GOD is good his mercy great is everlasting sure And to all generations al 's his truth doth still endure PSAL. XXIV THe earth the LORDS is properly yea and its fulnesse all The world likwise and also they that dwell there great or small verse 2 For he it firmely on the seas hath founded with his hand And also hath establish'd it upon the floods to stand verse 3 Who is he that shall of the LORD ascend into the hill And who in his most holy place shall constantly stand still verse 4 He that clean hands hath with puâ— heâ— who unto vanitie Hath not with pride lift up his soul nor sworne deceitfullie verse 5 Assuredly he from the LORD the blessing shall receive And from the GOD that saveth him he righteousnesse shall have verse 6 This is the generation now of them that in each place Him seek O Jacob that alwayes do humbly seek thy face verse 7 Ye gates lift up your heads and ye doores everlasting all Be lifted up and then come in the King of glory shall verse 8 Who is the King of glory great the mighty LORD and strong The Lord who still in battell is with might his foes among verse 9 Ye gates lift up your heads and ye doors everlasting all Be lifted up and then come in the King of glory shall verse 10 Who is this King of glory great the Lord who hath as his Most mighty hosts ev'n surely he the King of glory is PSAL. XXXII HE is most surely blessed whose transgression great or small In mercy freely is forgiv'n whose sin is covered all verse 2 Blest is the man to whom the Lord iniquitie most vile Imputeth not and in whose sprit at all there is no guile verse 3 When I kept silence foolishly my bones my grones among Still through my roaring waxed old and that all the day long verse 4 For alwayes day and night thy haâ— did on me heavy ly My moisture thus is turn'd into the drought of Summer dry verse 5 My grievous sin I then anone acknowledg'd unto thee And al 's I have not hid at all my great iniquitie I said I my transgressions all will to the Lord confesse And thou forgivest of my sin the fearfull guiltinesse verse 6 For this in times thou maist be foâ— the godly to thee all Shall pray in floods of waters grâ— not near him come they shall verse 7 Thou art my hiding place thou â— from troubleâ— make me free With sweet songs of deliverance thou shalt encompasse me verse 8 I will instruct thee and thee teach the way that thou shalt go And I with mine all seeing eye will guide thee well also verse 9 Be not thou like unto the horse or mule that wanteth wit Whos 's mouth lest they come neer thee must be held with bridle and bit verse 10 Much sorrowes unto wicked men shall be the earth throughout But mercy him that trusts in GOD shall compasse round about verse 11 Ye righteous in the Lord rejoice and glad be in each part And also shout for joy all ye that upright are in heart PSAL. XXXIII O In the LORD alwayes rejoice ye righteous in his sight For praise is comely for all those that are in heart upright verse 2 Praise ye the Lord now with the harpe with psaltrie to him sing And also with an instrument that hath a tenfold string verse 3 Unto him a new pleasant song sing with your heart and voice Play also now most skilfully with a loud sounding noice verse 4 For the good word of God the Loâ—â— is faithfull still and right And all his glorious workes in truth are done by his great might verse 5 He righteousnesse with all his heaâ—â— and judgement loveth still The goodnesse of the Lord our God the earth doth ever fill verse 6 By the word of the mighty Lorâ— the heav'ns created were And by the breath even of his moâ— their host all every where verse 7 He gathreth waters of the sea together as an heap And as in store houses also he layeth up the deep verse 8 Let all the earth now humbly fear the LORD and keep his law Let all the earths inhabitants still of him stand in aw verse 9 For he spake in his mighty power and it was done at last As he desir'd he did command and it alwayes stood fast verse 10 The Lord to noght the counsel brings which heathen men project The peoples vain devices all he makes of none effect verse 11 The counsell of the Lord doth stand for ever free of fall Yea of his heart the thoughts shal last to generations all verse 12 Blest is the nation whose GOD is the LORD them to advance And people whom he chosen hath for his inheritance verse 13 The Lord from heav'n that is above down looketh with his eye He all the sons of men below most clearly thence doth see verse 14 From of his habitation high the place that doth excell He looketh down on those alwayes that on the earth do dwell verse 15 He fashioneth also all their heaâ—â— alike both great and small Their works al 's whether good or 〈◊〉 he them considreth all verse 16 There is no king whom of an hâ— the multitude can save And by much strength a mighty maâ— can no deliv'rance have verse 17 For mans safety a thing most 〈◊〉 an horse is seen at length Not any he deliver shall by his great power and strength verse 18 Behold the Lords eye ever is upon them that him fear Ev'n on them still that do alwayes hope in his mercy heer verse 19 For to deliver safe their soul even from the jawes of death And al 's to keep them safe alive in famine free of wrath verse 20 Our soul still alwayes for the LORD waits till he comfort send In dangers all he is our help and shield us to defend verse 21 For in him gladly shall our heart rejoice without all blame Because we surely trusted have in his most holy name verse 22 Let thy mercy O gracious LORD upon us ever be According as with all our heart we still do hope in thee PSAL. LVI BE mercifull to me O GOD for man would in distresse Me swallow up he fighting still me daily doth oppresse verse 2 Mine enmies in a fearfull rage would daily swallow me For they be many that now fight against me O most hie verse 3 What time in mine affliction I am afraid for ill In thee with great affection most surely trust I will verse 4 In God I 'll praise his word in God I trusted have surelie I will not fear in dangers great what flesh can do to me verse 5 They ev'rie day most wickedly my words wrest at their will Their thoughts all full of treachery against me are for ill verse 6 Themselves together gather they themselves they closely hide They mark my steps when for my soul they wait lay on each side verse 7 Shall thus the wicked men escape by their iniquitie In anger great cast down O God the people fearfullie verse 8 My wandrings thou both here theâ—â— dost tell ev'n at a look Into thy bottell put my teares are they not in thy book verse 9 Then shal mine enmies all turn bacâ— when I cry unto thee This I well know for God alwayes is ever still for me verse 10 In God who is most faithfull still I will now praise his word With all my heart his word I will praise in the mighty LORD verse 11 I trust in God not fear I will what man can do to me verse 12 Thy vowes upon me are O God I 'le render praise to thee verse 13 For thou hast sav'd my soul from death wilt thou my feet not free From falls That in the livings light I walk may before thee PSAL. LVII BE mercifull to me O GOD be mercifull to me For my soul in my troubles great doth alwayes trust in thee Yea in the shadow of thy wings I my refuge at last Will make till those calamities be wholly overpast verse 2 I unto God that is most high with all my heart will cry Unto God that all things for me performeth by and by verse 3 From heav'n he shal send me save from his reproach in end That me would swallow God his truth and mercy foorth shal send verse 4 My troubled soul is still among fierce Lions full of ire And I among them alwayes lie that still are set on fire Ev'n the most cruell sons of men whose teeth me for to wrong Are piercing spears and arrows al 's a sharp sword is their tongue verse 5 Be thou above the heav'ns O Goâ— exalted ever hie And also all the earth above let thy great glory be verse 6 They for my steps a net prepar'd my soul is bow'd with all For me they dig'd a pit but in the midst thereof did fall verse 7 My heart O God fast fixed is my heart in all my wayes Fast fixed is I will both sing and give due praise alwayes verse 8 Awake my glorie up with speed and Psaltrie mirth to make Awake my Harp yea I my self will earely now awake verse 9 I will thee praise O Lord alwayâ—â— the people all among To thee among the nations all I will now sing a song verse 10 For thy mercie is great unto the heav'ns which none can search Thy truth also most gloriously unto the clouds doth reach verse 11 Be thou exalted LORD above the heav'ns that are most hie And likewise above all the earth let still thy glory be PSAL. LVIII O Congregation do ye still speak righteousnesse indeed O sons of men do ye to judge still uprightly proceed verse 2 Yea in your heart great wickednesse you work in every way And of your hands here in the earth the violence you weigh verse 3 The wicked are ev'n from the womb estrang'd before our eyes They go astray assoone as they be born still speaking lyes verse 4 Most like a serpents poison is the poison that they bear They are even like the adder deaf that stoppeth fast his ear verse 5 Which to the voice of charmers not hearken readilie Though never so wisely they appear in charming for to be verse 6 Break thou O God now in thâ— moâ— their teeth both sharp and stronâ— O Lord the great teeth now break â— of Lions that are yong verse 7 As waters run continuallie so let them melt and fall When as he bends his bow to shooâ— cut them in pieces small verse 8 As melts a snail let ev'ry one of them consumed be Like the untimely birth that they the sun may never see verse 9 Before your pots can feel the thoâ— he shall them all by death As with a whirle wind take away both living and in wrath verse 10 The righteous shal rejoice when thus sees the vengeance meet He in the blood of wicked men shall surely wash his feet verse 11 So verilie a man shall say the just rewarded be Yea verily who in the earth doth judge a God is he PSAL. LIX ME from mine enmies O my God deliver by good will Defend me safely from them that rise up against me still verse 2 From workers of iniquitie deliver me I crave And also by thy mighty arme from bloody men me save verse 3 For lo they for my soul do wait the mighty gathred be Against me Lord not for my fault or any sin in me verse 4 They run and al 's prepare themselves without my fault most bold Awake in time me for to help and also to behold verse 5 LORD GOD of hosts thou Isra'ls awake to visit still The heathen be not mercifull unto transgressours ill verse 6 They at the evening time return they make a noise and sound Most like a dog and thus they goe about the citie round verse 7 Behold they with their filthy mâ— belch out without all feare Sharpe swords are also in their lipâ— for who say they doth heare â— verse 8 But thou O LORD shalt surely â— at them both great and small Thou also in derision shalt have still the heathen all verse 9 Because of his great power streâ— I with great confidence Will wait upon thee ever still for GOD is my defence verse 10 Of my mercy the GOD me shall prevent as I require GOD shall upon mine enmies all let me see my desire verse 11 Not slay them lest my folk forget them who refuse to yeeld By thy might scatter and bring down O LORD our only shield verse 12 For the sin of their vile mouth and words of their lips not meek Let them be taken in their pride who cursing lying speak verse 14 In wrath consume them them consume that they no more may be That God in Jacob rules unto the earths ends let them see
Thou my reproach and shame hast known and my dishonour more Mine adversaries that me hurt are all still thee before verse 20 Reproach hath broke my heart 〈…〉 of grief I for some one Look'd to take pitie none was for comforters but found none verse 21 They gave me also for my meat which horrour is to think Most bitter gall they me in thirst gave vinegar to drink verse 22 Let their rich table them before all times a snare be seen And let it be a trap which for their welfare should have beeâ— verse 23 Let still their eyes be darkned all that they may no thing see And make their loines depriv'd of strengâ—â— to shake continually verse 24 Thine indignation great powr oâ— upon them fierce and bold And also let thine anger hote of each of them take hold verse 25 And let their habitation all which seemes most to excell Be desolate and suffer none into their tents to dwell verse 26 For him they persecute whom thou hast smitten lesse or more And they talk to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded sore verse 27 Adde thou iniquitie unto their former wickednesse And let not such men come at all into thy righteousnesse verse 28 Out of the book of living men let them all blotted be And not at all be written with the righteous companie verse 29 But I am very sorrowfull and poor as thou dost see O God let thy salvation now me sure set up on hie verse 30 The name of the almighty God I with a song will praise And will with hearty thanks him still even magnifie alwayes verse 31 This also shall the mighty LORD please better most surelie Then ox or bullock that hath hoofs or horns that lofty be verse 32 They who are humble shall this seâ— and shall be glad indeed And al 's your heart shall happy live that seek for GOD in need verse 33 For still the Lord the poor on earth doth in his mercy hear And mercifull despiseth not his prisoners to him dear verse 34 Let both the heav'ns al 's the earth praise him who sits above The raging seas and every thing that therein still doth move verse 35 For GOD the cities of Judah will build and Sion save That there they may dwell and it in possession surely have verse 36 The seed al 's of his servants dear inherite shall the same And therein shall they gladly dwell that love his holy Name PSAL. LXX O GOD now in this time make hast for to deliver me Make hast O LORD that in distresse I may get help from thee verse 2 Let them confounded be with shame that seek my soul in ire Them to confusion all turne back that still my hurt desire verse 3 Let them by thy most fearfull wrath be turned back forlorne For to reward their shame that say Aha Aha in scorne verse 4 Let all those that thee seek rejoice and be with gladnesse raisde Let such as thy salvation love say still let God be praisde verse 5 But I am poor and needy now make hast O GOD to me My help thou and delivrer art LORD Let no tarrying be PSALME LXXI O LORD in all my troubles greaâ— I put my trust in thee Unto confusion shamefull put let thou me never be verse 2 Deliver me me to escape cause in thy righteousnesse Incline to me also thine ear and save me in distresse verse 3 My habitation strong be thou to which I may resort To save me thou commanded hast who art my rock and fort verse 4 Out of the hand of wicked men O GOD deliver me Out of the hand of the unjust and those that cruell be verse 5 For thou alwayes art still my hope O LORD my GOD most just Thou also in thy mercy art ev'n from my youth my trust verse 6 Thou from the woÌ„b didst me uphold thou art al 's he who me Out of my mothers bowels took â—e I ever praise will thee verse 7 To many I a wonder am but thou strong art my stay verse 8 Let my mouth with thy praise be fil'd and honour all the day verse 9 Cast me not off in the time of old age when I am weak And when my strength begins to fail then do me not forsake verse 10 For against me mine enmies all still speak one with another And they that for my soul lay wait take counsell all together verse 11 God say they hath forsaken him him persecute and take For there is none that now to him deliverance can make verse 12 O God in troubles be not thou farre from me at the last O thou that onlie art my GOD now for my help make hast verse 13 Let my soules foes confounded aâ— and al 's consumed be Let with reproach shame cover them that seeke my hurt to see verse 14 But well assur'd continually I will hope thee before And for thy favour still I will yet praise thee more and more verse 15 My mouth shal wel thy righteousneâ—â— and thy salvation shew Even all the day for I thereof the numbers never knew verse 16 In the great strength of God the Loâ—â— I will most boldly goe I of thine onely righteousnesse will mention make also verse 17 O God ev'n from my youth thou hast me taught with great regard And hitherto thy wondrous workes I clearely have declar'd verse 18 Forsake not me gray-headed all with old age overcome Till to this age thy strength I shew and power to all to come verse 19 Thy righteousnesse O God also is very high to see Who hast done great things still O God who is like unto thee verse 20 Thou which hast troubles great and sore unto me shewed forth Shalt quicken me and bring me up from the deepths of the earth verse 21 Thou shalt my greatnes by thy grace increase for to abide And shalt me by thy goodnesse still comfort on ev'ry side verse 22 My God thee thy truth I 'le praise the Psalterie upon I with the Harp will sing to thee O Israels holy One verse 23 My lips shal greatly then rejoice when I sing unto thee And al 's my soul which thou froÌ„ death hast now redeemed free verse 24 My tongue shal of thy righteousnâ—â— talk also all the day For they confounded are and sham'd that seek my hurt alway PSAL. LXXII O God in mercy to the King thy judgement give thou noâ— And unto the Kings son also thy righteousnesse allow verse 2 The people all with righteousnesse most justly judge he shall And likewise with his judgement righâ— thy poor both one and all verse 3 The mountains to the people shall bring peace in ev'ry way And likewise shall the little hils by righteousnesse for ay verse 4 The people poor he sure shal judgâ— of needy men he shall The children save th'oppressour he shall break in pieces small verse 5 Throughout ev'n generations all they shall thee fear most sure As long as shall the Sun and Moon
still in their course endure verse 6 He shall most graciously come down like rain that 's powred foorth On the mown grasse as pleasant shours that water all the earth verse 7 The righteous man shall in his dayes in all things flourish sure With abundance of peace so long as shall the Moon endure verse 8 From sea to sea dominion he shall have by his great worth And from the river al 's unto the ends of all the earth verse 9 They that dwell in the wildernesse shall bow before him thick And also all his enemies the dust shall surely lick verse 10 The Kings of Tarshish and the Isles shall bring him presents all Of Sheba and Seba the kings gifts to him offer shall verse 11 Yea all Kings here upon the earth that he may them preserve Shall humbly fall down him before all nations shall him serve verse 12 For he the needy when he cryes deliver safely shall The poor also and him that heere no helper hath at all verse 13 He shall the poor and needy all in his great mercy spare And also shall save all the souls of those that needie are verse 14 From great deceit and violence their soul he by his might Shall safe redeeme and precious shâ— their blood be in his sight verse 15 To him shall Shebas gold be giv'n and so well live shall he For him still prayer shall be made he daily praisd shall be verse 16 Even in the earth there shal of coâ— a little handfull be Upon the bare and barren tops of mountaines that are hie The fruit thereof like Cedar trees in Lebanon most tall Shall shake those of the city al 's like grasse then flourish shall verse 17 His Name for ever shall endure last as the Sun it shall In him men shal be blest and him all Nations blest shall call verse 18 The Lord God alwayes blessed be ev'n of Isral the GOD Who only by his mighty hand doth wondrous things abroad verse 19 And blessed be his glorious Name for ever among men The whole earth let his glory fill Amen yea and amen PSAL. LXXIII GOD truely unto Israel is good as may be seen Even to all such as upright are and of a heart that 's clean verse 2 But as for me in my great grief my feet in ev'rie way Were almost gone my steps also had well nigh slipt away verse 3 For envious at foolish men I was most foolishlie When of the wicked still I saw the great prosperitie verse 4 For in their death there are no baâ— as others feel infirm But in their health and wealth also their strength is ever firm verse 5 They are not as all other men in trouble as we see Nor yet like other men also on earth they plagued be verse 6 Therefore vain pride even as a chiâ—â— doth compasse them about Even as a garment violence doth cover them throughout verse 7 Their eyes always with fatnes swolâ— stand out yea more then this They have more wealth among their hands than any heart could wish verse 8 They altogether are corrupt and speak most wickedly Concerning their oppression great they proud speak loftily verse 9 Against the heav'ns most proudly they do set their mouth and talk Their tongue reviling throgh the earth continually doth walk verse 10 Therefore soon hither do return the people round about And of a full cup waters great unto them are wrung out verse 11 And thus they say how doth at all GOD know the things that be And is there any knowledge now in him who is most hie verse 12 Behold those the ungodly are and prosper at their will Heer in the world alwayes they do increase in riches still verse 13 I verilie did say my heart I cleansed have in vain And in mine innocencie al 's have wash'd my hands with paiâ— verse 14 For all the day long have I been still plagued more and more And every morning early I have al 's been chastned sore verse 15 If I say I will surely thus speak as I did intend Thy childrens generation just behold I should offend verse 16 When I this thought to know theâ— too painfull was for me verse 17 Till to GODS Sanctuary I went then I their end did see verse 18 In slipperie places surely thou didst set them all at last Thou them into destruction all down shamefully didst cast verse 19 How into desolation they as in a moment be Thus brought They all with terrours are consumed utterlie verse 20 As a vain dream when one awakes even so O LORD likewise When thou awak'st most surely thou their image shalt despise verse 21 Thus was my heart griev'd I was in my reines pricked sore verse 22 So foolish I and ignorant a beast was thee before verse 23 Neverthelesse continually I alwayes am with thee By my right hand thou surely hast most safely holden me verse 24 Thou shalt me with thy couÌ„sel wise still guide as I do crave And afterward to glory thou me surely shalt receive verse 25 Whom in distresse have I in heav'n but thee whom I require Besides thee also there is none on earth that I desire verse 26 My flesh and heart fail me but God who failes me neveâ— The strength is of my heart and â— my portion ev'n for ever verse 27 For lo they that are far from shall perish so and so Thou hast all them destroyed thaâ— from thee a whoring go verse 28 But for me to draw neer to Gâ—â— it 's good ev'n evry where I trusted have in God that I may all thy works declare PSAL. LXXIV O God why hast thou us for â— cast off in danger deep why doth thine anger smoak agaiâ— ev'n thine own pasture sheep verse 2 Thy congregation dear to thee in good remembrance hold Which thou ev'n in thy mercie gâ— hast purchased of old The rod of thine inheritance which thou redeemed hast This Mount Sion wherein alwayes thou dwelt m time bypast To desolations lasting still lift up thy feet anone â—'n all that in the Sanctuarie the enemie still hath done Amidst thy congregations all thy enmies still do roar They also do set up for signes their ensignes in great store A man was famous and renown'd in their societies â—ccording as the axes he did lift on the thick trees But with sharp axes and also strong hammers which they take â—e carved work thereof at once in furie down they break They fire into thy Sanctuary have cast by casting down â—hey have defil'd the dwelling place of thy Name to the ground verse 8 They said in heart Let us destroâ— together all their band GODS synagogues they have burnt that are in all the land verse 9 Our signes we see not no more a Prophet us among Nor yet among us any is that knoweth well how long verse 10 How long Lord shall th'adversâ— thus us reproach with shame Shall th' enmie fierce for ever thus blaspheme thy holy Name verse 11 Why

LXXV TO thee O God do we give thaâ— we doe give thankes thee â—or that thy wondrous works declare thy great Name neer to be When I the congregation great to govern shall receive â— all affaires as Judge I will me uprightly behave The earth and the inhabitants that in the same appeare â—â—gether now dissolved are its pillars I up bear I surely said unto the fools Deal not thus foolishly â—â—d to the wicked men also Lift not the horn so hie Lift ye not up your horn on high speak not with stiffe neck thus For not from th' east nor from the west nor south promotion is But God 's the Iudge he puts down one and sets another up For in the hand ev'n of the Lord of red wine is a cup. CIII O Thou my Soul most thankfully go to and blesse the LORD All that 's in me his holy Name now blesse with one accord verse 2 Blesse GOD my Soul and not forget his benefits not small verse 3 Who all thy sins forgives who al 's heals thy diseases all verse 4 Who from destruction doth redeem thy life sore pressed down Who doth with loving kindnesse thee and tender mercies crown verse 5 Who fully with good things also doth satisfie thy mouth So that ev'n like the Eagles still renewed is thy youth verse 6 The mighty Lord doth execute ev'n righteousnesse most rare And judgement also for all those that heer oppressed are verse 7 He to his servant Moses made his wayes most clearly known And unto Israels children al 's his valiant acts were shown verse 8 Both mercifull and gracious still the Lord delights to be To anger slow most plenteous al 's in mercy still is he verse 9 He though for sin he whiles us check yet will not alwayes chide Nor yet will he his anger keep for ever to abide verse 10 He not according to our sins hath dealt with us in wrath Nor after our iniquities he us rewarded hath verse 11 For as the heaven very high above the earth is set So toward them that doe him fear his mercy still is great verse 12 As far as th' East is from the West so far by his great love From us he our transgressions all in mercy doth remove verse 13 Like as a father tenderly his children pities heer So likewise the Lord pities them that truely do him fear verse 14 For he that made us all doth know our frame most perfectly He also doth remember well that but frail dust we be verse 15 As for man heer his dayes are as the grasse in ev'ry case As of the field a flower ev'n so he flourisheth a space verse 16 For over it the winde doth passe and it is gone therefore And after that the place thereof shall know it then no more verse 17 But GODS mercy for ever lasts upon them that him fear His righteousnesse doth also reach to childrens children heer verse 18 To such as still his cov'nant keep and also those unto That his commandments every one remember well to do verse 19 The Lord up in the heav'ns above prepared hath his throne And his most glorious kingdome still rules over all alone verse 20 Ye angels that excell in strength most gladly blesse the Lord Who do his precepts hearkning well to the voice of his word verse 21 Blesse chearfully the Lord all ye his hosts that do excell Ye Ministers of all his coasts that do his pleasure well verse 22 Now blesse the Lord all yee he his works and that with one accord Of his dominion in each place O my soul blesse the Lord PSAL. CXII PRaise ye the Lord blest is the man that fears the LORD aright That in his wise commandments all still greatly doth delight verse 2 His seed shall mighty be upon the earth assuredlie The uprights generation shall for ever blessed be verse 3 Great wealth and riches ever fast shall in his house be sure And his most perfect righteousnesse for ever doth endure verse 4 To the upright ariseth light in darknesse speedilie Most gracious of compassion full and righteous al 's is he verse 5 A good man sheweth favour still and willingly doth lend He with discretion his affaires will guide ev'n to the end verse 6 He surely not for ever shall be mov'd so fix'd is he The righteous in remembrance sure shall everlasting be verse 7 He shall not be afraid of what ill tidings can afford His heart is ever fixed fast still trusting in the Lord. verse 8 His heart always estabish'd is he not afraid shall be Untill upon his enmies all his full desire he see verse 9 He hath dispersd and given to poor his righteousnesse for ay Endures his horn with honour shall exalted be alway verse 10 The wicked grieved shall it see his teeth he gnashing all Shall melt away and the desire of ill men perish shall PSAL. CXIII PRaise ye the Lord O of the Lord ye servants now proclame His worthy praise of God the Lord praise the most holy Name verse 2 Now of the LORD most blessed be the Name which we adore From this time forth from age to age and al 's for evermore verse 3 From the first rising of the Sun unto his going down The LORDS Name to be honour'd is with praise and great renown verse 4 The LORD above all nations is most high in Majestie And likewise is his glory great above the heavens hie verse 5 Who is now like unto the LORD our God who doth excell Who on high in the highest heav'n with Majestie doth dwell verse 6 Who though most high yet he himseâ—â— still humbleth in his love Things to behold that are on earth and in the heav'ns above verse 7 Out of the dust he raiseth up the poor in miserie And out of the dung hill also the needie lifteth hie verse 8 That he him up in dignitie with Princes high may set With those that of his people all are ev'n the Princes great He doth the barren woman make to keep house and to be A mother glade of children dear the mighty LORD praise yee PSAL. CXIIII WHen Israel out of Egypt land went by a happy change And Jacobs house a people left that were of language strange His Sanctuarie Judah was wherein he chosd to dwell â—nd Isra'l his dominion al 's which he did rule right well The sea it saw and as in feare with hast the flight did take And Jordans river running straight was driv'n most quickly back verse 4 The mountains steep with their high tops did quake and skip as rams So did like wise the little hills ev'n like the younger lambs verse 5 What aild thee O thou troubled fâ— that thou the flight didst take Thou Jordan that so speedilie thou wast by force driv'n back verse 6 Ye mountaines high what was 〈◊〉 cauâ—â— that ye did skip like rams What mov'd you also little hills to skip like younger lambs verse 7 Thou at the presence of the Lord earth tremble all and fear Ev'n at the presence of the GOD of Jacob to him dear verse 8 Which into waters turn'd the roâ— ev'n standing like a lake And in the flint a fountain fair of waters clear did make PSAL. CXV LOrd not to us not unto us but unto thy name take Great glory for thy stedfast truth and for thy mercies sake verse 2 Wherefore should new the heath 〈◊〉 where is their God alone But our God's in the heav'ns he hath what ever he pleased done Their idols silver are and gold workes of mens hands they be They have mouths made but can not speak and eyes but they not see Of ears they have the shape but they hear not what men do tell They noses formed also have but there with cannot smell They hands have but they handle not and feet but cannot walk A throat they have but throgh it they can no way speak or talk To those vain things they are most like that in their wayes unjust Them make ev'n so is every one that into them doth trust verse 9 Trust thou O Israel in the Lord their help and shield that be verse 10 Trust in the Lord O A'rons house their help and shield is he verse 11 Ye that do fear the living Lord trust in the Lord alway He is their strong help and their shield that still upon him stay verse 12 The Lord of us hath mindfull been he sure will blesse us still He will blesse Israls house the house of Aaron blesse he will verse 13 He wil them blesse that fear the Lord and that both great and small verse 14 God shal increase you more more you and your children all verse 15 You all that have an upright heart are blessed of the Lord Which both the heav'n al 's the earth made by his mighty word verse 16 The heav'n ye ev'n the heav'ns above are all the Lords by right But to the sons of men he hath the earth giv'n by his might verse 17 The dead in grave can in no way praise give the Lord unto Nor any whatsoever that down into 〈◊〉 go But we the mighty Lord above will blesse with one accord â—om this time forth for evermore most gladly praise the Lord. CXVI Love the Lord and that because he with attentive ear â—y voice and supplications al 's most willingly did hear Because he hath inclin'd his ear unto me troubled all â—erefore as long as heer I live I will upon him call Of death the sorrows compassd me and paines of hell got hold â—oon time I found troubles great and sorrows manifold Upon the name of GOD the LORD then did I call and say LORD my soul

worth verse 88 After thy loving kindnesse now me quicken when I call The testimonie of thy mouth so surely keep I shall LAMED verse 89 Thy word forever is O LORD in heaven setled fast verse 90 Unto all generations well thy faithfulnesse doth last The earth thou stablish'd hast and it abideth neer and far verse 91 This day they last as thou ordains for all thy servants are verse 92 Unlesse thy law in my distresse had been my whole delite in my great affliction should then have perish'd quite verse 93 I le not forget thy precepts for with them thou quicknedst me verse 94 I'm thine save me CXX GOD heard me when I cri'd 〈◊〉 in my distresse wrong verse 2 Lord save my soul from lying lipâ— from a deceitfull tongue verse 3 What shal be given or to thee doâ— thou false tongue learn'd to lie verse 4 Sharp arrows of the mighty coals of Juniper that be verse 5 Now wo is me that I so long in Mesech do sojourne That in the tents of Kedar al 's I dwell without return My poor soul hath long dwelt with him that peace hates neer and far I am for peace but when I speak they alwayes are for war PSAL. CXXI â—'Le lift mine eyes up to the hills from whence my help coms foorth My help all cometh from the Lord which made both heav'n and earth Thy foot he will not suffer to be moved any way â—e that thee safely keepeth still not slumbers night nor day Behold he that keeps Israel not slumber shall or sleep The Lord 's thy shade on thy right haÌ„d the Lord thee safe doth keep The Sun shal not thee smile by day nor Moone by night at all verse 7 GOD from all ill thee shal preserve thy soul preserve he shall verse 8 Thy going out and coming in the LORD whom we adore Shal wel preserve from this time for and ev'n for evermore PSAL. CXXII I Was most glade when they to me said all with one accord Now let us go unto the house of the Almighty LORD verse 2 Jerusalem within thy gates our feet shall stand for ever verse 3 As a citie Jerusalem is built compact together verse 4 Whether the tribes go up the tribe which GOD for his doth claime To Israls testimonie there to thank the LORDS great name verse 5 For there of judgement thrones arâ— seâ— for Davids house that be verse 6 Pray for the peace of Salem they shall prosper that love thee verse 7 Let happie peace within thy wals at all times stedfast be And in thy pleasant palaces still great prosperitie For my belov'd companions sakes and brethren dear I will â—ow gladly say with all my heart Peace be within thee still
Even for the house of God our Lord I will in every part â—ost carefully still seek alwayes thy good with all my heart PSAL. CXXIII TO thee I lift mine eyes O thou that in the heav'ns dost dwell Behold as servants eyes look to their masters hands right well â—nd as a maidens eyes unto her mistresse hand anone â—o wait our eyes on GOD till he have mercy us upon verse 3 Have mercy upon us O LORD have mercy us upon For with contempt exceedingly we fild are every one verse 4 Our soul exceedingly is fild with scorning vile and lewd Of men at ease and also with contempt ev'n of the proud PSAL. CXXIV If God had not been on our side now Israel may say thus verse 2 If on our side God had not been when men rose against us verse 3 Then they us surely swallow'd haâ— up quick at their desire When their great wrath against us alâ— was kindled as a fire verse 4 Then the great swelling waters haâ— us overwhelm'd eachone The streame that runneth with greaâ— forcâ— ev'n ov'r our soul had gone verse 5 Then the proud waters had gone ovâ— our troubled soul alway verse 6 Blest be the Lord who to their teetâ— hath not giv'n us a prey verse 7 Our soul is surely as a bird escaped from the snare Of foulers the snare broken is and we escaped are verse 8 In the name of the Lord our God our only help doth stand Who heav'n and earth most gloriously made by his mighty hand PSAL. CXXV THey that trust always in the Lord shall be like Zion hill Which can not be removed but abides for ever still As round about Jerusalem the mountains are together â—o from henceforth the LORD about his people is for ever For on the Righteous lot the rod of wicked shall not lie Left that the Righteous foorth their hands put to iniquitie verse 4 Do good O LORD unto all those that be good in thy sight And to all them that ever still are in their hearts upright verse 5 Who turn aside to crooked wayes the LORD shall them anone Lead foorth with doers ill but peace shall Isra'l be upon PSAL.
