the_o chief_a particular_n which_o we_o be_v in_o this_o petition_n reminded_a to_o seek_v of_o god_n by_o prayer_n be_v that_o he_o will_v create_v in_o we_o a_o holy_a anxiety_n and_o tenderness_n over_o the_o purity_n and_o cleanness_n of_o our_o heart_n and_o way_n a_o deep_a detestation_n and_o abhorrency_n of_o sin_n and_o of_o all_o pollution_n by_o it_o because_o without_o these_o we_o can_v pray_v with_o that_o fervency_n and_o effectualness_n of_o prayer_n which_o become_v we_o that_o he_o will_v not_o lead_v we_o into_o temptation_n etc._n etc._n so_o again_o that_o while_o we_o be_v free_a and_o keep_v by_o he_o from_o temptation_n he_o will_v not_o suffer_v a_o spirit_n of_o remissness_n carelessness_n or_o security_n to_o grow_v upon_o we_o lest_o he_o shall_v be_v hereby_o provoke_v to_o lead_v we_o into_o temptation_n and_o not_o deliver_v we_o from_o the_o evil_a unto_o which_o we_o be_v tempt_v and_o so_o on_o the_o contrary_a that_o while_o we_o do_v enjoy_v a_o serenity_n and_o quietness_n of_o spirit_n and_o remain_v unmolested_a of_o temptation_n we_o may_v have_v grace_n in_o our_o heart_n to_o serve_v he_o with_o reverence_n and_o fear_n nature_n of_o glory_n and_o christ_n direct_v we_o to_o ascribe_v they_o all_o unto_o god_n and_o to_o look_v up_o unto_o he_o as_o real_o and_o rightful_o possess_v of_o they_o all_o by_o the_o kingdom_n he_o mean_v the_o whole_a universe_n or_o great_a body_n of_o the_o creation_n consist_v of_o heaven_n and_o earth_n with_o all_o the_o host_n of_o they_o and_o all_o that_o incomprehensible_a variety_n of_o create_a being_n from_o the_o high_a to_o the_o low_a that_o be_v find_v in_o they_o this_o great_a body_n of_o the_o creation_n unto_o god_n stand_v in_o the_o frequency_n of_o prayer_n if_o they_o desire_v either_o to_o taste_v as_o little_a as_o may_v be_v of_o the_o sorrow_n and_o trouble_n of_o the_o world_n or_o to_o see_v as_o much_o of_o the_o good_a of_o it_o as_o be_v like_a to_o be_v enjoy_v by_o man_n quest_n 31._o what_o be_v the_o stand_a occasion_n or_o some_o of_o the_o principal_a of_o they_o relate_v to_o the_o world_n to_o come_v which_o be_v engage_v upon_o man_n to_o pray_v frequent_o answ_n if_o they_o be_v yet_o unconvert_v and_o unbelieving_a they_o stand_v in_o need_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o illumination_n by_o the_o of_o god_n be_v then_o true_o and_o proper_o hallow_v or_o sanctify_v when_o in_o the_o mind_n conscience_n and_o soul_n of_o man_n he_o be_v place_v upon_o a_o high_a throne_n alone_o by_o himself_o other_o as_o by_o ourselves_o though_o principal_o by_o ourselves_o otherwise_o we_o shall_v not_o express_v by_o it_o any_o true_a love_n or_o affection_n unto_o god_n nor_o any_o sincere_a desire_n to_o have_v his_o name_n hallow_v but_o a_o desire_n only_o of_o our_o own_o benefit_n by_o our_o hallow_n it_o for_o if_o we_o desire_v the_o hallow_n of_o god_n name_n simple_o or_o out_o of_o any_o naturalnesse_n of_o love_n to_o he_o or_o any_o otherwise_o then_o with_o respect_n unto_o ourselves_o or_o our_o own_o profit_n we_o must_v desire_v and_o pray_v that_o it_o may_v be_v hallow_v far_o look_v after_o his_o prayer_n itself_o as_o if_o his_o weakness_n in_o pray_v must_v needs_o make_v the_o truth_n and_o faithfulness_n of_o god_n in_o his_o promise_n make_v unto_o prayer_n though_o defective_a and_o weak_a for_o he_o can_v expect_v none_o other_o from_o man_n of_o none_o effect_n god_n what_o by_o teach_v man_n how_o to_o pray_v and_o what_o by_o enable_v they_o by_o his_o spirit_n to_o pray_v and_o what_o by_o grant_v such_o mighty_a power_n unto_o these_o prayer_n as_o he_o have_v do_v have_v enable_v they_o to_o c_o eat_v another_o a_o new_a kind_n of_o angel_n or_o minister_a spirit_n which_o be_v as_o able_a to_o serve_v they_o and_o do_v as_o great_a thing_n for_o they_o both_o in_o heaven_n and_o in_o earth_n as_o those_o minister_a spirit_n proper_o so_o call_v the_o elect_a angel_n of_o god_n themselves_o be_v able_a to_o do_v yea_o that_o new_a kind_n of_o angel_n we_o speak_v of_o prayer_n have_v a_o kind_n of_o authority_n give_v unto_o it_o by_o god_n over_o those_o other_o angel_n and_o by_o the_o interest_n which_o it_o have_v above_o the_o other_o in_o he_o who_o be_v the_o lord_n of_o they_o both_o be_v able_a many_o time_n to_o procure_v itself_o to_o be_v serve_v by_o they_o in_o very_o great_a and_o important_a affair_n therefore_o prayer_n though_o it_o be_v in_o a_o sense_n the_o creature_n of_o man_n yet_o be_v make_v of_o the_o love_n goodness_n bounty_n wisdom_n and_o power_n of_o god_n as_o the_o constitute_a principle_n of_o it_o it_o be_v too_o sacred_a and_o holy_a to_o be_v neglect_v or_o light_o esteem_v by_o man_n when_o once_o he_o have_v give_v life_n and_o breath_n and_o be_v unto_o it_o quest_n 70._o what_o be_v a_o second_o thing_n by_o which_o our_o prayer_n may_v suffer_v if_o it_o be_v not_o avoid_v answ_n to_o decline_v or_o grow_v worse_o after_o they_o than_o we_o be_v at_o the_o time_n when_o we_o make_v they_o as_o we_o degenerate_a and_o cool_v in_o our_o zeal_n and_o fervour_n of_o spirit_n to_o the_o service_n of_o god_n and_o way_n of_o righteousness_n when_o we_o have_v recommend_v our_o concernment_n or_o desire_n unto_o god_n our_o prayer_n proportionable_o lose_v of_o their_o interest_n and_o acceptation_n in_o heaven_n be_v now_o the_o prayer_n of_o person_n less_o considerable_a for_o righteousness_n than_o they_o be_v when_o they_o first_o arrive_v there_o and_o god_n be_v more_o distaste_v with_o good_a man_n for_o lose_v one_o inch_n of_o their_o holy_a ground_n than_o he_o be_v with_o wicked_a man_n for_o advance_v two_o in_o that_o ground_n of_o sin_n and_o folly_n which_o be_v their_o element_n he_o expect_v that_o his_o presence_n shall_v teach_v man_n holiness_n and_o that_o when_o they_o have_v be_v in_o near_a and_o close_a communion_n with_o he_o they_o shall_v contract_v a_o heavenly_a lustre_n and_o brightness_n upon_o their_o soul_n from_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o holiness_n therefore_o if_o have_v be_v so_o late_o in_o his_o presence_n and_o behold_v his_o face_n they_o shall_v forget_v what_o manner_n of_o god_n he_o be_v and_o shall_v rather_o make_v loss_n then_o gain_v of_o so_o great_a and_o bless_a a_o opportunity_n
