mankind_n pass_v over_o that_o without_o any_o observation_n and_o yet_o look_v upon_o the_o latter_a with_o much_o admiration_n and_o astonishment_n just_o thus_o it_o be_v with_o this_o and_o the_o name_n of_o god_n in_o vain_a seem_o pray_v for_o the_o glorify_v of_o that_o name_n which_o we_o at_o the_o same_o time_n dishonour_n either_o for_o want_v of_o a_o due_a consideration_n of_o his_o majesty_n or_o for_o want_n of_o make_v his_o glory_n the_o rule_n and_o end_v of_o our_o prayer_n this_o first_o petition_n therefore_o require_v that_o the_o heart_n be_v due_o affect_v with_o the_o glory_n of_o that_o name_n which_o it_o invoke_v and_o due_o act_v and_o direct_v to_o that_o glory_n and_o that_o this_o petition_n be_v draw_v through_o all_o the_o rest_n of_o our_o request_n these_o ensue_a consideration_n therefore_o arise_v from_o the_o place_n of_o this_o petition_n first_o in_o this_o prayer_n 1._o as_o thou_o pray_v that_o his_o name_n be_v hallow_v so_o in_o all_o that_o thou_o require_v of_o invocation_n thanksgiving_n dependence_n and_o when_o we_o perform_v they_o they_o want_v that_o due_a measure_n of_o love_n humility_n reverence_n intention_n of_o mind_n that_o thou_o most_o just_o do_v require_v and_o deserve_v we_o omit_v those_o duty_n of_o charity_n justice_n righteousness_n that_o we_o owe_v to_o other_o that_o sobriety_n temperance_n moderation_n vigilance_n that_o relate_v to_o ourselves_o and_o we_o daily_o commit_v offence_n against_o thou_o the_o glorious_a god_n against_o our_o neighbour_n against_o ourselves_o contrary_a to_o the_o injunction_n of_o thy_o holy_a law_n reveal_v to_o we_o and_o these_o we_o often_o reiterate_v against_o mercy_n chastisement_n promise_n of_o better_a obedience_n and_o although_o many_o of_o our_o neglect_v and_o offence_n immediate_o concern_v ourselves_o or_o other_o yet_o they_o be_v all_o offence_n against_o thy_o holy_a and_o righteous_a law_n and_o against_o that_o subjection_n and_o obedience_n and_o duty_n and_o thankfulness_n that_o we_o owe_v unto_o thou_o and_o when_o we_o have_v do_v all_o this_o we_o be_v not_o able_a to_o make_v thou_o any_o satisfaction_n for_o
