can_v come_v to_o say_v with_o david_n against_o thou_o against_o thou_o only_o have_v i_o sin_v in_o my_o sin_n i_o have_v go_v against_o that_o god_n who_o be_v so_o infinite_o above_o all_o praise_n and_o glory_n this_o be_v the_o humiliation_n if_o any_o thing_n make_v a_o devorce_n between_o sin_n and_o the_o soul_n this_o will_v do_v it_o this_o be_v the_o three_o corollary_n that_o his_o mouth_n be_v enough_o to_o sink_v they_o to_o the_o bottomless-pit_n yet_o god_n be_v patient_a the_o first_o second_o and_o three_o time_n yea_o a_o hundred_o time_n perhaps_o thou_o have_v be_v a_o blasphemer_n twenty_o year_n forty_o year_n a_o swearer_n and_o when_o thou_o come_v in_o company_n oh_o the_o wicked_a oath_n that_o come_v from_o thou_o and_o hideous_a uncleanness_n and_o abominable_a wickedness_n and_o yet_o god_n stand_v by_o and_o look_n upon_o the_o swearer_n and_o be_v patient_a all_o the_o while_n certain_o brethren_n there_o be_v no_o man_n in_o all_o the_o world_n that_o be_v wrong_v as_o god_n be_v and_o yet_o man_n be_v not_o able_a to_o bear_v wrong_a from_o his_o equal_a if_o he_o have_v power_n in_o his_o hand_n to_o prevent_v it_o what!_o shall_v he_o wrong_v i_o i_o will_v make_v he_o know_v what_o it_o be_v to_o wrong_v i_o you_o can_v bear_v any_o wrong_n from_o your_o fellow_n creature_n oh_o consider_v what_o wrong_a god_n have_v bear_v from_o you_o and_o other_o stand_z and_o admire_v at_o the_o infinite_a patience_n and_o long-suffering_a of_o the_o lord_n true_o brethren_n when_o any_o man_n conscience_n come_v to_o be_v have_v any_o light_n of_o conscience_n and_o have_v make_v profession_n heretofore_o if_o such_o a_o one_o shall_v froward_o fly_v out_o against_o the_o word_n and_o those_o that_o be_v godly_a you_o so_o terrible_a and_o fearful_a as_o that_o fear_n the_o guilty_a conscience_n have_v take_v a_o man_n or_o woman_n who_o conscience_n be_v deliver_v from_o the_o guilt_n of_o sin_n such_o a_o one_o though_o heaven_n and_o earth_n shall_v meet_v be_v not_o so_o much_o trouble_v certain_o brethren_n in_o these_o great_a fear_n among_o we_o that_o you_o be_v scare_v at_o everything_o it_o be_v partly_o because_o you_o have_v not_o thorough_o make_v up_o your_o peace_n between_o god_n and_o your_o soul_n and_o some_o guilt_n lie_v upon_o your_o spirit_n and_o conscience_n and_o this_o affliction_n in_o the_o world_n sorrow_n fear_n and_o disgrace_n and_o persecution_n be_v not_o so_o terrible_a as_o this_o that_o i_o be_o in_o such_o a_o condition_n that_o i_o can_v look_v up_o to_o god_n nor_o think_v upon_o god_n without_o have_v the_o thought_n of_o his_o majesty_n to_o be_v terrible_a to_o i_o a_o guilty_a conscience_n can_v endure_v to_o have_v a_o thought_n of_o god_n it_o be_v terrible_a to_o he_o and_o therefore_o he_o labour_v by_o go_v into_o company_n and_o sport_n and_o business_n in_o the_o world_n to_o take_v off_o the_o thought_n of_o god_n because_o the_o thought_n of_o god_n pierce_v his_o heart_n and_o so_o the_o presence_n of_o god_n be_v very_o terrible_a where_o guilt_n be_v upon_o the_o conscience_n and_o the_o conscience_n of_o such_o a_o one_o can_v endure_v to_o come_v into_o god_n presence_n nor_o into_o the_o communion_n of_o saint_n where_o god_n presence_n be_v and_o he_o can_v endure_v to_o pray_v the_o thought_n of_o that_o strike_v his_o heart_n to_o go_v alone_o to_o pray_v the_o presence_n of_o god_n when_o alone_o be_v extreme_a terrible_a and_o this_o be_v a_o sade_a condition_n than_o to_o be_v under_o any_o affliction_n better_a be_v under_o any_o affliction_n than_o in_o such_o a_o case_n as_o that_o the_o presence_n of_o god_n be_v terrible_a the_o presence_n of_o god_n in_o prayer_n and_o so_o the_o presence_n of_o god_n in_o his_o word_n oh_o the_o word_n be_v terrible_a to_o such_o a_o one_o the_o word_n of_o god_n speak_v nothing_o but_o terror_n so_o long_o as_o guilt_n remain_v upon_o the_o conscience_n this_o be_v worse_a than_o affliction_n that_o that_o word_n which_o be_v a_o treasure_n of_o sweetness_n and_o goodness_n and_o comfort_n to_o those_o that_o be_v gracious_a and_o godly_a shall_v be_v fill_v with_o terror_n to_o the_o soul_n of_o one_o that_o be_v full_a of_o guilt_n yea_o to_o such_o a_o one_o all_o the_o way_n of_o god_n providence_n be_v full_a of_o terror_n know_v not_o the_o excellency_n of_o man_n they_o know_v not_o wherein_o the_o excellency_n of_o the_o rational_a creature_n consist_v and_o therefore_o they_o be_v not_o ashamed_a of_o that_o which_o bring_v they_o under_o the_o excellency_n of_o the_o rational_a creature_n beside_o they_o know_v not_o god_n infinite_a holiness_n therefore_o be_v not_o ashamed_a they_o be_v now_o among_o other_o themselves_o and_o live_v in_o the_o same_o sin_n therefore_o they_o be_v not_o ashamed_a for_o as_o a_o collier_n live_v among_o collier_n be_v not_o ashamed_a but_o if_o he_o live_v among_o prince_n and_o nobleman_n he_o will_v be_v ashamed_a so_o wicked_a man_n in_o this_o world_n because_o they_o live_v in_o this_o world_n among_o sinner_n they_o conceive_v to_o be_v sinner_n like_o themselves_o they_o be_v not_o ashamed_a but_o when_o god_n shall_v come_v to_o open_v what_o sin_n mean_v and_o what_o the_o holiness_n of_o god_n mean_n and_o they_o see_v themselves_o stand_v in_o further-than_a it_o have_v a_o connexion_n to_o some_o great_a sin_n but_o sin_n in_o the_o great_a prosperity_n have_v shame_n with_o it_o chap._n thirty-nine_o he_o that_o sin_n wrong_v despise_v they_o will_v venture_v the_o ruin_n of_o their_o soul_n be_v not_o this_o to_o despise_v their_o soul_n as_o if_o they_o be_v not_o worth_a a_o groat_n or_o sixpence_n and_o they_o will_v lie_v or_o steal_v to_o get_v that_o which_o be_v less_o nay_o not_o only_o so_o but_o they_o be_v hater_n of_o their_o own_o soul_n and_o this_o you_o have_v prov._n 29._o 24._o he_o that_o be_v partner_n with_o a_o thief_n hate_v his_o own_o soul_n there_o be_v a_o instance_n in_o that_o one_o sin_n but_o it_o be_v true_a of_o every_o sin_n for_o this_o must_v be_v take_v as_o a_o rule_n to_o help_v you_o to_o understand_v the_o evil_n of_o sin_n know_v what_o be_v say_v of_o any_o one_o sin_n be_v virtual_o true_a of_o all_o that_o evil_n which_o be_v in_o any_o one_o sin_n be_v virtual_o in_o any_o sin_n he_o hate_v his_o own_o soul_n that_o go_v on_o in_o any_o one_o sin_n therefore_o if_o you_o will_v provide_v for_o your_o own_o good_a you_o must_v abandon_v sin_n object_n but_o it_o the_o work_n be_v not_o do_v till_o the_o soul_n go_v beyond_o these_o it_o be_v good_a for_o man_n and_o woman_n to_o abstain_v from_o sin_n upon_o any_o ground_n there_o be_v so_o much_o evil_n in_o sin_n that_o upon_o any_o ground_n man_n and_o woman_n abstain_v from_o sin_n it_o be_v well_o but_o only_o except_o it_o be_v such_o a_o ground_n that_o the_o ground_n itself_o be_v a_o great_a sin_n
