see_v the_o weakness_n of_o their_o reason_n we_o will_v first_o compare_v faith_n and_o hope_n in_o that_o relation_n which_o they_o have_v to_o christ_n second_o in_o that_o relation_n which_o hope_n for_o of_o that_o imperfect_a knowledge_n and_o apprehension_n of_o christ_n which_o i_o have_v by_o faith_n there_o arise_v in_o i_o a_o hope_n and_o expectation_n of_o a_o better_a hope_v again_o be_v not_o only_o the_o daughter_n of_o faith_n but_o the_o conserver_n and_o nourisher_n of_o faith_n the_o pillar_n that_o underprop_v it_o when_o it_o faint_v for_o in_o this_o life_n we_o be_v beset_v with_o so_o manifold_a tentation_n the_o work_n of_o god_n seem_v oftentimes_o contrary_a to_o his_o word_n and_o thing_n appear_v to_o fall_v out_o otherwise_o than_o the_o lord_n have_v promise_v that_o our_o faith_n thereby_o be_v wonderful_o daunt_v and_o therefore_o have_v need_n to_o be_v support_v by_o hope_n which_o teach_v always_o with_o patience_n to_o depend_v upon_o god_n truth_n and_o to_o look_v for_o a_o better_a as_o for_o example_n 15._o the_o lord_n say_v call_v upon_o i_o in_o the_o day_n of_o thy_o trouble_n i_o will_v hear_v thou_o and_o deliver_v thou_o and_o thou_o shall_v glorify_v i_o according_a to_o this_o promise_n the_o christian_a calling_n upon_o god_n and_o yet_o not_o find_v deliverance_n his_o faith_n begin_v to_o faint_v but_o then_o hope_n have_v to_o sustain_v we_o in_o affliction_n if_o you_o ask_v by_o which_o of_o these_o three_o faith_n hope_n and_o love_n we_o be_v justify_v that_o be_v by_o which_o of_o they_o we_o apprehend_v christ_n righteousness_n offer_v to_o we_o in_o the_o gospel_n the_o apostle_n have_v answer_v already_o we_o be_v justify_v by_o faith_n if_o you_o demand_v which_o of_o these_o three_o chief_o sustain_v we_o in_o affliction_n the_o apostle_n here_o tell_v you_o that_o when_o faith_n be_v weak_a hope_n save_v we_o that_o we_o despair_v not_o and_o if_o you_o demand_v which_o of_o these_o three_o declare_v we_o to_o be_v man_n justify_v by_o faith_n in_o christ_n the_o apostle_n tell_v you_o we_o must_v declare_v our_o faith_n by_o good_a work_n for_o faith_n work_v by_o love_n these_o be_v the_o right_a place_n which_o these_o three_o excellent_a grace_n of_o the_o spirit_n have_v in_o the_o work_n of_o our_o salvation_n and_o they_o go_v so_o joint_o together_o that_o they_o can_v be_v sunder_v when_o we_o say_v that_o a_o man_n be_v justify_v by_o faith_n only_o we_o do_v not_o therefore_o make_v the_o justify_v man_n to_o be_v without_o hope_n and_o love._n love._n for_o albeit_o in_o the_o action_n of_o the_o apprehend_n and_o apply_v of_o christ_n righteousness_n faith_n only_a work_n for_o which_o we_o say_v true_o we_o be_v justify_v by_o faith_n only_o yet_o hope_v and_o love_n have_v other_o action_n pertain_v to_o salvation_n necessary_o requisite_a in_o the_o justify_v man_n and_o this_o do_v clear_v we_o of_o that_o false_a calumny_n wherewith_o the_o
