high_a acceptance_n with_o the_o lord_n if_o they_o be_v faithful_a as_o also_o to_o admonish_v the_o rich_a and_o noble_a in_o this_o world_n not_o to_o be_v puff_v up_o with_o these_o outward_a delight_n but_o to_o undergo_v the_o popish_a vow_n of_o voluntary_a poverty_n be_v no_o estate_n of_o misery_n or_o distress_n for_o who_o do_v live_v in_o great_a â—ase_n or_o enjoy_v more_o his_o own_o will_n v_o 28._o and_o why_o care_v you_o for_o raiment_n learn_v how_o the_o lily_n of_o the_o field_n do_v grow_v they_o labour_v not_o neither_o spin_v 29._o yet_o i_o say_v unto_o you_o that_o even_o salomâ—n_n in_o all_o his_o glory_n be_v not_o array_v like_o one_o of_o these_o 30._o wherefore_o if_o god_n so_o clothe_v the_o grass_n of_o the_o field_n which_o be_v to_o day_n and_o to_o morrow_n be_v cast_v into_o the_o â—ven_n shall_v he_o not_o do_v much_o more_o unto_o yâ—â—_n o_o you_o of_o little_a faith_n in_o these_o three_o verse_n christ_n return_v to_o his_o former_a commandment_n forbid_a against_o distrustful_a care_n contain_v in_o the_o 25._o verse_n and_o here_o urge_v one_o part_n thereof_o concern_v care_n for_o raiment_n and_o the_o other_o for_o meat_n and_o drink_v in_o the_o 31._o verse_n now_o what_o mean_v christ_n by_o this_o manner_n of_o handle_v this_o heavenly_a doctrine_n not_o only_o to_o propound_v it_o and_o to_o urge_v it_o by_o for_o have_v a_o weighty_a point_n of_o doctrine_n in_o hand_n which_o the_o nature_n of_o man_n in_o unwilling_a to_o receive_v and_o practice_v he_o do_v beside_o the_o propound_v and_o confirm_v of_o it_o thus_o urge_v it_o by_o piecemeal_o that_o hereby_o it_o may_v the_o better_o take_v place_n in_o our_o heart_n and_o be_v the_o more_o effectual_a to_o bâ—ing_v forth_o obedience_n in_o our_o life_n and_o this_o fidelity_n must_v every_o one_o show_n that_o be_v to_o teach_v the_o word_n of_o god_n to_o other_o not_o only_o minister_n though_o it_o be_v their_o duty_n special_o but_o also_o master_n and_o parent_n as_o deut._n 6._o 7._o thou_o shall_v whet_v they_o upon_o thy_o child_n as_o the_o word_n signify_v that_o so_o it_o may_v more_o deep_o enter_v into_o the_o heart_n thus_o much_o of_o the_o manner_n of_o prosecute_a this_o argument_n now_o we_o come_v to_o the_o word_n and_o why_o care_v you_o for_o raiment_n this_o interrogation_n have_v the_o force_n of_o a_o prohibition_n and_o so_o it_o be_v the_o same_o with_o this_o branch_n of_o the_o 25._o verse_n care_v not_o for_o your_o body_n what_o you_o shall_v put_v on_o now_o all_o care_n for_o apparel_n be_v not_o here_o forbid_v for_o there_o be_v a_o lawful_a godly_a care_n whereby_o man_n seek_v and_o labour_v upright_o and_o in_o a_o sober_a manner_n for_o such_o apparel_n as_o be_v meet_v for_o their_o calling_n and_o needful_a to_o the_o health_n and_o comfort_n of_o their_o body_n but_o the_o care_n here_o forbid_v be_v a_o apparel_n inordinate_a and_o immoderate_a care_n for_o apparel_n join_v either_o with_o distrust_n and_o fear_n of_o want_n or_o else_o with_o a_o discontentednesse_n with_o that_o apparel_n which_o be_v meet_v and_o necessary_a and_o this_o be_v the_o common_a sin_n of_o this_o age_n as_o the_o sundry_a bad_a practice_n of_o man_n and_o woman_n about_o apparel_n proceed_v from_o this_o inordinate_a care_n do_v evident_o declare_v as_o first_o the_o 1_o affect_v of_o superfluity_n and_o abundance_n in_o apparel_n and_o the_o follow_v of_o strange_a and_o foreign_a fashion_n so_o soon_o as_o they_o be_v take_v up_o second_o 2_o the_o wear_n of_o too_o costly_a apparel_n above_o their_o ability_n and_o degree_n as_o when_o servant_n be_v as_o â—ine_v as_o their_o master_n tradesman_n like_o gentleman_n and_o gentle_n like_o noble_n three_o the_o spend_v of_o much_o time_n in_o the_o 3_o curious_a trim_v and_o attire_v of_o the_o body_n which_o may_v be_v spend_v in_o better_a duty_n this_o proceed_v from_o some_o dislike_n in_o god_n workmanship_n as_o though_o he_o have_v not_o do_v his_o part_n thorough_o to_o their_o body_n or_o they_o by_o their_o curiosity_n can_v make_v themselves_o better_a now_o that_o christ_n may_v remove_v out_o of_o man_n heart_n this_o inordinate_a care_n he_o do_v here_o enforce_v his_o commandment_n by_o a_o four_o reason_n take_v from_o his_o providence_n over_o the_o lily_n of_o the_o field_n and_o the_o reason_n be_v weighty_a though_o the_o subject_n of_o it_o be_v mean_a and_o simple_a it_o may_v be_v frame_v thus_o if_o god_n cloth_n the_o lily_n of_o the_o field_n then_o doubtless_o he_o will_v clothe_v you_o but_o god_n clothe_v the_o lily_n of_o the_o field_n therefore_o much_o more_o will_v he_o clothe_v you_o this_o reason_n be_v full_o set_v down_o in_o these_o three_o verse_n though_o the_o part_n of_o it_o be_v invert_v by_o reason_n of_o their_o amplification_n for_o first_o christ_n propound_v to_o our_o consideration_n the_o subject_a matter_n whence_o his_o reason_n be_v draw_v learn_v how_o the_o lily_n of_o the_o field_n do_v grow_v where_o this_o must_v be_v mark_v that_o christ_n speak_v of_o field-lily_n which_o have_v not_o the_o help_n of_o man_n as_o garden_n flower_n have_v then_o he_o lay_v down_o a_o proof_n of_o his_o assumption_n that_o god_n clothes_n they_o by_o remove_v from_o they_o the_o ordinary_a mean_n of_o clothing_n they_o labour_v not_o
